These headphones are really nice. They're comfortable, even during long gaming sessions, they look great, and more importantly they sound great! The spatial sound is on point and games sound much more immersive to me. The headphones are made with high quality material and are extremely light. The head strap is adjustable with Velcro secured straps tucked neatly into the top. Flipping the mic up automatically mutes it and there is a volume knob on the back that also changes the EQ preset when pushed in. Corsair really put a lot of thought into comfort and performance when they designed these. I will recommend them to anyone that listens.

    Perfect Gaming Headset

Overall, I really enjoyed gaming on this headset due to the comfort, clarity in the sound, and seamless connection to my PC and PS5. I'll list a few of the reason I gave a 5 star rating down below. Comfort: As soon as I put the headset on I knew I was going to be comfortable gaming with them for hours. They do have a bit of weight to them but the retractable band not only helps disperse some of that weight, but it also helps with providing a more secure fit regardless of the size of your head or the hair style you may have. The ear cushions are memory foam and feel secure enough that it passively keeps outside noise from interfering with gameplay. Sound Performance: In the default settings out of the box, the headset provides excellent immersion in the gameplay. I was able to hear the loud boom of explosions, clear cut conversations through chat, the rumble of car engines, very noticeable footsteps, and impressive directional awareness. Although impressive out of the box, I connected my headset to my PC which downloads the iCue software where I was able to customize audio eq settings. This allowed me to quickly switch between wanting to be able to understand speech clearer or be able to distinguish enemy footsteps from my own. This headset also has the capability of using Dolby Atmos 3D audio which I have tried before and it is always a fantastic feature to have at your disposal. As soon as I was connected, I was nearly fully immersed in the game. I will also point out that having a wired connection to the PC improves audio quality in a noticeable way and I would recommend it fully. Quality: I haven't dropped the headset or accidentally sat on them but the headset definitely has a premium feel despite the fact that the majority of the material is plastic. The buttons, volume wheel, and mic all feel solid. I think I'll be able to get a lot of use out of this headset but only time will tell. I really like the volume wheel because of how clicky it is. Every scroll has a distinct click as if I was scrolling on a mouse. Mic Performance: I never had any issues with communicating online with this mic. In fact, I was asked multiple times if I had gotten a new mic because I didn't sound tinny anymore. It does a great job at focusing on my voice and not the noise around me. Some sound will leak through such as loud dog barks but for the most part it picks up my voice clearly. Wireless Connection: It is always a bonus to game wirelessly. The wireless connection is without a doubt seamless. I never noticed any lag even when I was in different room! I believe it is rated for 60ft without any obstructions and although I didn't test the length, I was able to get up and grab a snack from the Kitchen without losing connection to my game. I was still able to communicate clearly with my friends over chat. Corsair also advertises SlipStream which allows you to connect to one single receiver with other Corsair products with this feature which is a huge bonus if you plan on getting multiple wireless corsair devices like a mouse and keyboard. I cannot say enough positive things about this headset. I really enjoy gaming on them and I really hope they last me a long time.

For years I've used an open back audiophile set of cans hooked up to a Sound Blaster for audio positioning and the set up works great. But I want something that I can take with me anywhere that can offer the same performance or as close to it as I can. The Corsair HS80's are fitting the bill nicely. My main use for the headphones are gaming at work. I usually get to work about 60-90 minutes early, fix my coffee, read some news, and play a quick game. For a few years I depended on IEM to isolate the sound of the presses chugging away because I thought they'd be the best for the job. It's nice to know that closed back HS80 can do a great job of tuning out the presses and the impolite folks that don't want to back off while you're off the clock. Plus with the headphones, they now have a visual clue to step off until I clock back in. As far as sound goes, I keep it set on Atmos because I like the sound better. It's a bit warmer and I'm able to pinpoint positions well enough that I don't need to play with the other settings. The others might be better for isolating player movement, but I'm more into the immersion. Bass is deep without being overpowering or muddy, the mids are detailed enough to pick what I need out of the noise, and the highs are toned down enough to not be ear shattering. The default settings are actually pretty clean in my opinion. I haven't noticed any delay in sound, which I was fearing with using a wireless unit. One big plus is that the HS80's don't get as hot as I thought they would over my ears. One of the reason I like open back is that they're cooler. But I didn't have any heat discomfort using the HS80's yet. We'll see in a few weeks as temps get higher. I haven't gotten to use the mic yet because my friends all dumped Warframe for Elden Ring and I don't really like ER and went back to WF. Guess I'll have to make new friends or keep running solo for now. Comfortable, lightweight, no wires, great sound, and decent positional audio make these a winner in my book.

HS80 is a huge improvement over HS70 and VIRTUOSO gaming headsets from Corsair. The build on the HS80 is much improved, I am not finding the cheap plastic tabs that snapped in the older headsets around the ear cups on the Virtuoso or the hinge/headband on the HS70. These feel like they are built to last a long time. The ear cups are on a metal hinge which gives much more stability to the headsets themselves. It just gives off a premium feel. The wireless range is almost insane. We have a largeish house, I can go a good 100-150 feet from the receiver and still pick up clear sound through many walls at that point. The sound and mic are fantastic. You really can almost feel where the sounds are coming from. My son took someone out with one shot based on the sound and not any sight of seeing his opponent. It was most impressive. One drawback, for me, since these are quite tightly built. My massive cranium is uncomfortable in a long session, they feel tight on my head. They do not press on my glass frames to make uncomfortable but more of a pressure around the back of and above my ear. My son thinks they are very comfortable. he is 17 and not a small lad either. If you wear a 7 3/4 or larger hat, these may be tight on you. Comfort is half the battle with headphones, sound is the other half. These easily win in the sound half. The comfort may come as they get worked in a bit, but right now that is the only drawback I am finding with these well designed and much improved headphones. Maybe they can come out with a XL design. :D

Took multiple times to post the review due to an issue of my own making. I was traveling and using this while on vacation in another country and Used this on my MSI Delta 15 laptop. Unbelievable performance from this gaming headset. 1. I took it on a trip and really worked well traveling. the mic and ear cups held up very well. 2. After the time I tried to write this review didn't work 3 times I'm glad I had issue posting because I was able to do even more. 3. This is gonna be pretty direct in pros and con's Pro's Battery life is really good. Had on a 6.5 hour flight to Frankfurt Germany lasted for the whole time I used it. You gotta eat and sleep. So for about an actually 3 hours of use worked really good. Cut the outside noise on the plane and enjoyed Forza 6 racing game. After getting back home and downloading the corsair ice program it allowed me to actively see battery level and adjust the colors. I didn't get a chance to use the dolby atmos part of the headphones. Stereo and regular surround sounded amazing. When playing Forza the sound separation was amazing and very life like. I Have a home theater system that I compared the audio to. Very close to my dedicated home theater. Now this is not a replacement for a home theater of course but for over the ear it works amazing. Next the firmware update is pretty fast which I really liked. The color cannot be adjusted to the sound of content which I thought was a let down. But I guess the sound quality more than makes up for it. Cons. Biggest thing is the dongle to use the headset. Not the best for portable laptops. Don't leave it in your laptop, it will get damaged. But other than that I will have also mention the lack of RGB light sync with your audio content would make this even better.

A really good headset, a bit lacking on the bass when using consoles but the custom EQ’s on PC make it way better. The mic is really clear and the 3D audio is spot on. Also really comfortable.

Everything I hear from these headphones are BIG. At 40% of the volume it sounds like it is on full blast. The sound makes it seem like I am in a space bigger than where I actually am. That means—it is so good—it makes me feel like I am really in the realm. Out of the box, it does require some tweaking of the sound using the app equalizer—but that’s any other speaker—I adjust them to fit my taste. Luckily, the app is easy to use, I can set the sound settings and tweak the lights to match my set up. The headset itself is nicely made. The finish feels nice to touch and the materials are solid (vs. flimsy ones). The band automatically adjusts to my head which is good but is a little tight at the top. I am not sure if it is just my head but it kind of pulls my hair a little. Maybe in time it will change if it loosens up, but hopefully it does not affect the snugness of the headset on my ears. Speaking of being snug, it was comfortable enough to be on for at least 4 hours. It could also be that I don’t notice the time because it sounds good, but my lobes do not feel sore when I take them off. Chatting is nothing exceptional but is a good thing. My buddies did not notice anything different so that’s another plus because chat reliability is important! Oh and even the connectivity is good—I can go get a snack or take a quick restroom break and not be disconnected. Getting one for yourself? Sounds good to me!

Review for: CORSAIR HS80 RGB WIRELESS Gaming Headset This headset is extremely comfortable. It’s lightweight and the construction design, which uses a soft elastic strap, creates a cushion between your head and the headband, it doesn’t feel heavy or constraining. The ear cups are covered in a soft fabric which is so much nicer than plastic. The audio quality is excellent and very responsive. Surround sound adds a nice touch to the gaming experience, as well. I am using the headset with a PS5, so I attached the included wireless dongle. Setup was extremely straightforward, although I found a minor inconvenience that may just be on the PlayStation side: it will always try to connect to the headset, even if it is off. As far as it is aware, if the dongle is in, that is what you want. You can easily change it in the PlayStation sound settings either each time you don’t want to use headphones, or you can uncheck the option in settings (per user) for it to automatically connect to different sources, then manually select it after you’ve actually turned on your headphones. The only reason I mention this is because it oddly feels like a step back from wired headphones since those would adapt when plugging into the controller which is more likely to be close to you than the console where the wireless dongle plugs in. Once you get past that, the wireless experience is comfier and more freeing.

Okay I am going to give an honest review here. I bought these about a year ago and they have been amazing. The way you can tune them to whatever youre playing / doing is awesome. I have never once had a complaint about my microphone, there is a review on here about the microphone being too low? Buddy you messed something up because I have NEVER had any complaint about my microphone. The ONLY COMPLAINT about these headphones is the battery life SUCKS after about a year of use. Overall construction of the headset is great the foam is comfy on the ears. Would have given 5 stars but the battery life is so bad I just couldnt. Would still highly recommend

I’ve just recently gotten more into PC gaming and I have not been able to find a headset I’m really happy with until I tried this one. They’ve all been too tight, too hot, uncomfortable to wear after awhile, or had terrible sound quality…. Until I tried this one out!! I was hooked on this one instantly and already delegated my old headsets to the kids!!! First and most important to me is the comfort and sound quality. 5 stars all day!!! Insanely comfortable and the sound quality upgrade was noticeably louder and more clear. One of my favorite features is the LED indicator at the end of the mic, it’s such a simple yet effective way to check the status of the microphone. I can’t imagine not having it on all my headsets now. This really is the perfect headset.

The Corsair HS80s are great gaming headphones. The sound is fantastic. The clarity is excellent with good bass, and the ear pads are about the most comfortable I've ever tried. My gaming friends tell me the mic sounds crystal clear. Speaking of the mic, it's super easy to mute it. No buttons to press, just rotate the boom up and away to mute. Connecting the headphones to my PS5 couldn't have been easier. Just plug in using the cable initially. Once detected, the headphones are ready to go wirelessly. The build quality seems really good with premium feeling materials and finishes. One trend I don't like with electronics is having buttons to increase or decrease volume. Which is just another reason why I love the The Corsair HS80s. Volume is adjusted by an easy to reach, and well-placed dial on the left side. Overall, the Corsair HS80 Wireless Headphones are the best I've used to date. Great sound, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. There are certainly more expensive gaming headphones than these, but why would you need to spend more?

I absolutely love these new wireless headphones by Corsair. They cover your so well that they block out most ambient noise. They look great and match the PS5 perfectly, and theyre also very comfortable for long periods of use. The sound is great when gaming for me on my PS5, I love the built in mic with its flip up and down function and it can be flexed closer to your mouth. I only wish the included usb dongle was half as long as it sticks out to much from the front usb, that I install it in the rear so my audio cabinet door doesnt smack into it when closed. Im happy I selected these as theyre now my go to gaming headphones for PS5. These replace my 3 year old Corsair wireless headphones, which were good but not as comfortable as these are. I even purchased a headphone mount for the PS5 to hang these on when not in use. These have very rich bass and midrange, I would be interested in trying a wireless earbud for the PS5 by Corsair. Im sure they would knock it out of the park like they did with these headphones.
