Two stars at best. Not sure why everyone thinks these are great. They are just headphones. The strap over your head gets to be annoying after 45 minutes of play. There's no EQ change. No bass boost. No adjusting anything. Who wants lights on the outside of your headphones that you the player can't see? I just don't see the hype. And for 150$ 200. After you get the warranty. These are 99 dollar pair on sale at best. Just not what i expect. Especially after everyone made them seem better than turtle beach. Definitely not

Ive had this headset for around 6 months and i seem to have similar issues to most of the other reviews. i noticed a few months ago that the ear covers are taring back. it doesn't "hurt" the headset and i haven't stopped using them but even for 150$ i expected them to be a bit more durable. the other complaint that Ive had over my time owning them would be the battery life, i have all the LEDs turned off and it acts more like a heavy wired headset than a wireless. to say that ive played a day without charging them would be a lie. For my first ever wireless headset im definitely not impressed. Ive had wired headsets at half the price and lasted 4-6 years. The sound and mic quality is quite good and the noise cancellation is very good. The flip up mute feature is also something ill never be able to go without after having these. Its not a bad headset but it definitely has some major quality of life issues imo for the 150$ price point.

I was disappointed with the Corsair HS80 wireless headset. My old headphones were a different series of Corsair headphones. These headphones have a lower wireless range than my previous Corsair headphones. The Corsair HS80 is less comfortable than my last headphones. The HS80 lets you make custom eq for sound, but it doesn't tell you which one you are on.

      Hi Isaiah,

And thanks for your feedback. Please do note HS80 Max was just released a few days ago, so give those a look as they may be more of what you're looking for.

Battery life isn't as good as I hoped. The microphone mute function does not integrate with Microsoft Teams like my last headphones did... so I can be muted but Teams will show I'm unmuted. Not a big deal, just not ideal. But I really like the headphones overall. Corsair makes quality products and this is no exception.

i bought these as a replacement for a pair of arctis 7s that started crackling and i had high hopes. Unfortunately, the clamping force was too much and gave me headaches. Voice prompts were SUPER Loud, but mic sidetone was almost non-existent, even when set to max. I'm not sure if it was a sidetone issue or a Microphone issue, because even at max mic level with mic boost maxed out, Windows was barely registering any volume from these. I'll be returning these or at least exchanging for another one. Who knows? Maybe I got a defective one. On the positive side, I like USB-C and i was able to get a pretty neutral sounding...well...sound out of these with the proper EQ.

      Hi Eric,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Was your headset's firmware updated to the latest version via our iCUE software? As for the microphone volume, our latest version of iCUE features the option for microphone boost via Device Settings in iCUE. For the most immersive audio, I suggest making sure Dolby Atmos for Headphones is enabled via Windows' sound control panel. Please get in touch with us in regard to any issues if they persist, we'd appreciate the opportunity to get them resolved: support.corsair.com

I got this headset thinking that it would be a nice change from my previous headset, which is great. However, what I found was that there were far more things that I disliked about it than liked. The first thing I noticed putting it on was the cushion strap. It was initially set far too tight. It uses Velcro for adjustment. It took me 20 minutes to get it to where it was moderately comfortable. I don't like that it feels like it is constantly pulling up on the ear cups. My previous headset has simple bars with markings and you just slide them up and down to what fits you. Simple, and with the marks you can be precise. This headset is purely a guessing game. Some people love this "floating" straps, it's just not for me. Setup was simple. (I'm using it on a PS5). You just plug the Bluetooth dongle into an open port on the PS5 and it's connected. After reading into it, yes, this headset works with the PS5, but it's really made for PC. You need a PC to change any settings on it. This is everything from the sound balance to the RGB colors on the logos that are on each ear cup. If you don't, they're just white. Which isn't a huge deal since you can't see them when you're wearing them anyway, but something to note. Previous headsets that I've owned have their own apps where you can change settings on the fly. In this day and age, I shouldn't have to stop, disconnect from the PS5 and hook them to a computer and change settings. Another issue I have is that the light on the mic is incredibly bright. It's very distracting. It's red when it's up (muted) and you can't see it. When you pull it down to use it, the light turns white to let you know that it is on and unmuted. However, you then have this flashlight shining right in your eyes just a few inches from your face. Because of that, I can't use the mic. You may be able to dim it or turn it off in the settings when you connect it to a PC, but I'm not sure. My next issue started after about 10 minutes of usage. I started a game of Battlefield 1. I've been playing it for years and know all of the sounds very well. I know what each gun sounds like. I know what explosions sound like. This headset didn't reproduce the sounds properly. Everything was muted, even after turning the volume way up. The gunshots didn't have the "pop" and the explosions didn't even sound like explosions. From my previous headset, it's like having a bomb go off versus a firecracker. It's that far off. Then the sound started going in and out. Every few seconds the sound would just drop out completely. In a game where I use sound to know where the enemy are, which directions the gunshots or footsteps are coming from, this was horrendous. Every other headset that I've used for years have also been Bluetooth and haven't had any interference issues, so if that is what it is with this headset, then they are substandard. Granted, my previous headset (that I've gone back to) is about double the price of these, but if they can't perform the most basic function of consistently producing sound, then they're not worth the box they come in. For me, these are going in the pile of unused headsets.
