Decent Cooling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pump is loud on performance mode. Sounds like a rattle/grind.

Decent AIO closed loop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice while it lasted, unfortunately became loud after awhile and then CPU wasn't being cooled. Something stopped pumping the water onto the copper contact. Overheating caused shutdowns. Can anyone at Corsair help me out here?

Great Self Contained Cooler
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had used the old H100i on my i7 2600k and it did an admirable job, I recently upgraded to an i7 4790k and the older version was only keeping it around 40 celcius while overclocked to 4.6 non turbo boost. I saw this and decided to give it a shot and i'm getting temps in the high 20s and low 30s at idle now. I am much happier with the performance of the new cooler. Definitely a worth while upgrade over an air cooler for your PC.

Two failures in one year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had two of these go bad on me in one year, both times the pump failed. This seems to be a bit absurd I feel!

Must have for PC builders
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been running my PC for a couple of years now, however when I got the new Mass Effect Andromeda game my PC was really having issues with it. Started looking into it, and really it was over heating and slowing or shutting down the CPU. After installing this, it dropped full load temp's by over 30C on install testing even with a 5% OC. I'll play with it more, but the performance I'm VERY happy with. As far as noise level? What noise? It is as, if not quieter than before. Could probably sleep with it by my head. There are 3 "CON'S" to this unit - 1) The instructions aren't real great, but I've been building PC's since the 90's, and very mechanically inclined, so I figured it out fairly easy. I could see how someone with less PC building experience or who wasn't mechanically inclined could struggle. 2) Radiator size - The radiator is lager than two 120mm fans, so this caused issues with my case that already had 2 120mm fans installed. I had to mount the radiator outside the case, which is something I had thought might be the case prior to purchase. 3) Tubing flexibility - Because of this being a preassembled unit with fairly inflexibility hoses I had to cut out some of the metal between the expansion slots in order to feed the radiator out the back of the case. Bummer, but not a super big deal to me as the case just sits under my desk - but if you have a "show" case, this might not be acceptable. Over all this is a GREAT buy, and from now on when I build PC's I'm going to be running this type of device.

Done with liquid cooling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t overclock my processor or do ridiculously heavy things, but I went through two of these in a year. They’re junk. Just get a good fan and heatsink or go with a professional cooling build (be prepared to pay a lot and you may have leaks though). This was a waste of money.

Worked Sorta
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like Corsair, but this one was a dud. Wouldn't cool CPU. Decided to take off a hose and drain the coolant. There was only 4 oz. of coolant in it! This thing holds 10oz. in case you were wondering. Pump was also noisy, but that could be because it was empty. Went with a custom loop instead.

Be mindful of the size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start by saying I had to end up returning the product, not because of any defect or issues, but because the amount of real estate it occupied within the computer. This is definitely a product you want installed either in a full sized tower (I have a mid size tower and there was no way to make it fit), or possibly, a mid size tower with a mini or micro ATX motherboard to allow a bit more room. With a standard ATX motherboard, between the cables required to power up the motherboard and the memory slots, the fans and refrigeration unit could not be made to fit the air ventilation on top. Having said that, the cooling unit was top notch and all the materials were of pristine quality and my disappointment for not being able to use the unit was palpable. As always, Corsair did hold up to its end of the bargain. It was may unit that didn't, so I feel confident giving it 5 stars.

Perfect for a medium - high level pc builders!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this product now for about 1 and a half months, so far nothing bad. The install was a little rough, but that's mainly to do with my case (I need a better case). Other than that, in terms of the install, it was great. No problems at all, came in the mail just fine. It comes with thermal past already applied, so no need to buy thermal paste. I'm an average level over-clocker. My CPU's base clock was 3.0, and I over clocked it at a 3.7. No problems at all. Stayed VARY cool. Definitely something I would invest in, if I were to make another PC build.

Does do the job so far ... but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Running an EVGA X79 DARK mb, Intel i7-4820, 32gHb memory and EVGA GTX-660-Ti. Originally I was running a Thermaltake dual fan configuration and opted for a water cooled unit. Until now I had not done any over-clocking and I am gradually testing faster and faster speeds (currently only at X40) and never seeing anything higher than 51C even in the heat of BF4 battle. All in all the cooler has worked flawlessly and the kit is very complete with decent instructions, but I do not really think any better than the previous Thermaltake air cooled. Was it worth the time to retrofit my system; that is still out for debate. While the kit might be the hot ticket for a newer Corsair case, it did not fit so well inside of my older ANTEC tower and took me several hours to adapt it into its hiding place. Thoughts: I would suggest also purchasing some good silver heat sink compound along with the kit. Corsair does coat the heat sink with a thin coat, but if you have trouble or a bit ham-handed the little amount they pre-coat can get messed up very quickly. There is one big downside to the kit; the Corsair Link 4 (which you have to download from Corsair) is rather difficult to understand. Also when the program is running in the background, my system (not over clocked) has crashed several times. Turn off the feature, everything is stable again. Also trying to change LED colors has still escaped me. The Link 4 program comes with a myriad of .dll's but no help file that I can find. Also plan to loose two USB ports unless you rewire an internal plug or buy a separate cable and route it to the outside world. These last two issues is why I gave a rating of 4 stars (more like 3). I would recommend it to a friend ... but with the stated caveats.
