I bought an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, and it came with the Ryzen Prsom Wraith fan cooler. It was fine, but I thought having a liquid cooler would be better. It was not. For what I do (casual gaming on World of Warcraft and normal computing), I saw no significant change with having the corsair cooler. In fact, it ran a few degrees higher than the Wraith Prism Cooler when I compared them on the Ryzen Master Software. Now, I was using a really cheap thermal paste with the Orsair Hydro Series, and when I took it back with my complaint it did no better than the stock cooler, I also picked up a way better thermal paste. When I put the stock cooler back on my CPU with he better paste, It ran 10 degrees cooler...perfectly within acceptable cool levels for moderate gaming and computer. I don’t need a liquid cooler for what I do. I did try configuring this liquid cooler multiple ways...front with air blowing in and out of the system. It made no difference, and my system didn’t allow for me to place the radiator on the top venting area. It was fairly easy to install (watch a YouTube video on it. Corsair also has a video on their site which was helpful). It does look nice. The software is cumbersome but it is very comprehensive! I would recommend it only if your REALLY need liquid cooling. I is not a bad product. If you are a heavy gamer or doing some intensive computing, then you probably would want this cooler, but the stock fan worked just as well for me with a good thermal paste.
