It's a couple of wire hooks that use the stock hooks on the board. If you threw those stock ones out when you installed a different cooler, you might be out of luck here. Luckily, I still had them saved in a box. I really can't recommend it for AMD because of that adapter. As far as performance, it seems kind of middle-of-the road in the 240 AIO range. Better performance can be had for less money. You will also get much better AMD options. The Corsair RGB software is known to be buggy but I have not personally had any problems with it. Corsair products do prefer running on their own RGB controller as well, so that is something to consider if you were planning to integrate with onboard RGB. You might have to run separate software, at least. Noise is not bad. Here again, there are better out there. Overall, better for Intel than AMD. I use it, and don't plan to replace it unless it fails. It has held up well so far. If you don't absolutely need one right this minute, I suggest shopping around and doing some performance research before a purchase.
