The case fans that came with my prebuilt *sad face* were poo, so I replaced them. Couldn't just wait on a splitter, so I got this and have been glad I did. I especially like that the Commander is magnetic backed, so I could just plop it down on my back panel in my not so roomy case. iCue is so-so, but overall worth the spend.

I also needed this product to plug all the fans into. It was easy to install and definitely a great purchase!

The fan control does not work on mine, I can not adjust the speed the fans that are adjustable. Second, I think it would have been a better design to have RGB connection next to fan connection, for cleaner appearance. I am not using my RGB on a few fans because of this. Other than that it’s works well, no issues, instructions could be better , but I would definitely get this on sale and not full priced.

Controller is proprietary and well, meh

I don't care for the fact that I had to purchase an internal USB splitter to power this and my cases front accessory connections. Why USB powered?! The software is a bit too much as well. I went another route and will probably use this in the future in an old pc or something. Way overpriced IMHO.

The COMMANDER CORE XT is powered via a SATA power connector from your PSU. The USB connection is for communication with your system and iCUE. Have you tried setting a custom fan curve for your connected fans via iCUE? It's an easy way to have your system's fans silently operate at low workloads, while being able to ramp up when it's time to game or do some serious work.
