Sorry to hear that iCUE isn't recognizing the Commander Core XT. Can you check to ensure that you have the USB 2.0 header cable connected to an available USB 2.0 header on your motherboard? Also, check to ensure that the Commander Core XT's SATA power cable is also properly connected to an available SATA power connection from your power supply. Bricked My Entire PC

Used this to control the water cooling loop that I also bought from Corsair. However, what I didn't know is that plugging my water pump into this device will cause it to completely take over the pump speed and default it to 30% without the ability to change it. As a result, water wasn't flowing in my loop and the entire thing bricked up shortly after. Avoid Corsair like the plague.

Doesn't play well with others
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after buying a set of be quiet argb lightwings fans that came with an RGB hub, but no pwm hub. That's fine I thought we'll just buy a good fan controller. I bought this one thinking that it would be pretty universal, boy was I wrong. My first observation in trying to install it is that it didn't have a way to connect to the pwm header on the motherboard. Nor a way to connect to the argb header on the motherboard. So I'm like, I guess I don't control this without ICue. Okay, sure, whatever. Proceeded to maintenance route my cables all that good stuff. Then when I went to plug in my standard argb headers, that's when I noticed is controller also has proprietary argb connectors. Oh so I can't motherboard control my fan speeds or use other fans? Back in the box it went. I am returning this. If Corsair would have included some adapters for standard argb connectors, it might have survived. I'm not entirely comfortable with having this thing only work with some proprietary software they might seize working one day or become no longer available, get broken by an update, who knows? for the lighting it's fine, but I would have preferred this thing to have a pwm cable for the motherboard.

Thank you so much for the feedback, the Commander Core XT is designed for use with our RGB fans and their connections. The controller would connect via an internal USB 2.0 header to your motherboard and then provide RGB and PWM connections to our fans from the unit itself.
