Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX CPU Cooler's excellent cooling performance and attractive RGB lighting. Many appreciate its straightforward installation and quiet operation, while some find the price point high and the size of the radiator substantial. A few users expressed concerns about the included fans and the cooler's software. Overall, the positive feedback on cooling and ease of use outweighs the negative comments regarding cost and some minor component issues.

If you're looking for pure performance I would not recommend this cooler, I achieved 5-10 degrees C cooler with an Artic brand cooler otherwise if you are looking for a compromise of performance for aesthetic then this cooler if perfect for you! Not a bad cooler in the slightest, I just prefer max performance over cool RGB.

      Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. It is worth noting you can adjust the fan and pump performance via our complimentary iCUE software. There's quiet, balanced, and extreme presets. You can also create a custom curve that stays quiet at low temperatures and amps up cooing performance at warmer temperatures. If you have any questions or concerns, we'd be happy to help: support.corsair.com

Great cooler if you have the room! Bought this and had it installed in the front of my machine. Eventually had to replace this with a 240mm radiator when I got my Kingpin. That also works great! You can't go wrong with corsair aio coolers. Tried NZXT before that with less quality results.

I love it the only thing i wish is that you can get more additional fans that are the exact same model as this h150i elite but for the price you get what you pay for and that all that matters temps are good and i paired it up with a i7-8700k and it looks amazing with the color pattern you choose :)

2 Faulty Products In A Row, Do I Risk a Third?

The Good: -this cooler looks awesome. It's exactly what I wanted in terms of aesthetics. The USB control of the lighting means you can use it with almost any build, even older Motherboards. The software allows you to link multiple Corsair devices so they all have the same color scheme, or provide functionality like showing specific colors based on temperatures. The large radiator surface area provides tons of cooling even at low fan speeds. Good mounting hardware provided for Intel and AMD. The Bad: -First one I received worked for 2 days before it began having issues with USB connectivity (device disappeared from iCUE software and USB in Device manager gave Error message). I updated drivers, updated firmware, uninstalled iCUE, cleaned registry and AppData before reinstalling, tried different USB headers, a new PSU, dedicated SATA power (no other peripherals on it's line), and a thousand other things from various videos and forum posts. I finally break down and contact Corsair. Wasted a week troubleshooting with Corsair Reps (who didn't bother reading emails and just would give me generic troubleshooting tips from their website) before I finally gave up and started a return through Amazon. My replacement arrived yesterday. The pump itself on this one is noisy, making gurgling noises at high RPM, and grinding noises at low RPM. Quick troubleshooting, tried all recommendations with no luck. Tilting the PC and changing RPM to try and force out bubbles, removing the pump and shaking it (yay more Thermal paste), bending hoses, another dedicated SATA line, putting fans on different headers so only the pump is drawing SATA power. Nothing helps. I will not be dealing with Corsair Reps to troubleshoot again, they'll just have me try the same things I already tried. On the off chance it is the worlds most stubborn bubble I will be waiting another couple days to see if the noise clears up. Last critique is the choice of cabling. This is an all white look, so why do you ruin it with ugly flat black cabling? Clean it up, nice braided round cable would look a million times better. Plus the cable for the CPU fan header is so poorly placed as part of the SATA cable I wanted to cut it off and solder a new one on. The USB connection should also be an integral part of the system, not added as an afterthought that you need to plug into the side of the pump, it looks cheap. Honestly, a single thicker cable out that splits after 6"-8" inches so I can hide it all with good cable management would improve the looks by a huge margin. Final Thoughts: -I have to say, both of these have kept my CPU really cool, and look great. But receiving two faulty products in a row has ruined my opinion of Corsair, and I will be looking elsewhere when I replace this pump. Both of these faults may seem nitpicky, but for the cost of the cooler and the ratings it has received, for a pump to lose USB Connectivity (removing ability to monitor RPM, coolant temps, and change lighting) and for another to be loud at idle RPMs is extremely concerning. Any of these issues could compound or worsen, resulting in total pump failure and a cooked CPU. I'm not comfortable trusting an expensive CPU to anything that displays these kind of faults out of the box, it's just an indicator of things to come. If you are ok with risking a $400-$800 investment in a CPU, go ahead, this cooler looks amazing. But I'd rather have a plain looking build that protects my investment instead some RGB lighting that could fail any second and cook my CPU.

    Bad Water Temps Loud Fans

This is my second Corsair cooler and I’m sad to say that after today I’m done with their AIO’s I ended up returning this product because the water temps are out of control and the fans have to run so loud to keep itself cool. Setting the AIO to silent was fine until you boot up a game then then they ramp up loud. I got an NZXT Kraken AIO instead and it’s water temps stay around 27-29c and CPU temps around 28-43c with fans staying quiet. This Corsair Capellix AIO ran 40C or higher on water temps and my CPU temps got in the 60’s. I’ve had better results from an air cooler vs this. The pump also made a strange noise at full speeds. I recommend going to NZXT for AIO.

Got it on sale as an upgrade from the Ryzen stock cooler, cooler temps, a little louder but not noticable with headphones on. Originally got the 240mm but had to return due to a failed pump. Other than that hiccup it has worked great!

Pump whine, fans are loud at high RPM

Good cooling, but too many issues with a cooler at this price. My biggest gripe is the pump, both noise and control. The pump only has 3 settings, 'Quiet', 'Balanced' and 'Extreme'. At all settings, an audible whine can be heard, and once you hear it... you cannot un-hear it. Often at 'Quiet', the noise was more noticeable than 'Extreme'. There is a significant amount of vibration noise because the pump runs at 2200 RPM minimum (on 'Quiet'). I adjusted the pump several times, and there was no clear way to reduce the vibration noise. Doing research, this is a known issue with these coolers as they use a "Coolit" pump. The fans are very loud at higher RPMs. The iCUE software has its good and bad features. I didn't get much better cooling (~3 -4 degrees C) from the 280mm cooler I "upgraded" from unless you run the fans at high RPM. Overall, I expected more from this at the price point of $170.

I had it running pretty well for a little less than a month when I started having some very strange issues. After a bit of troubleshooting I realized my CPU was running at 99c. The problem was the the controller just completely stopped working and could not be recognized by the pc for whatever reason. Best buy refused the return even though it had been less than 30 days and Corsair support was absolutely no help because when I called I got a recording saying they were closed for the holiday but would reopen Monday the 26th. Since this was January 24th I can only assume that recording was referring to Christmas which was almost a month prior.

This is a replacement for an older cooler. Intended on getting the 2 fans but decided couldn't beat the pricing difference between 2 fans to 3 fans. Works great, happy with my purchase.
