Awesome Gaming Keyboard

I bought it for him as an appreciation gift sunce he has taken care if me all year (I had 2 mahor surgeries). He is very happy with this!

If you are mainly a typer and not so much a gamer, I would not recommend this. Because the keys are so sensitive, it is very easy to make typo's by just grazing a key. Also, if you browse the web with your hand resting on some of the keys, that habit will stop, because you end up pressing and holding a,s, or d.

I built my PC on Dec 22nd 2022 and it is when I bought this Keyboard. I do not regret it at all. It is snappy great sounding and the customization is Fantastic! Strongly Recommend to anyone wanting a great High End Keyboard!

Elgato stream deck integration via the G keys. It's amazing. 1 mm actuation point. amazing. The demo model had a horrible twang in the keyboard so I definitely was super skeptical but mine, fortunately, does not have that horrible twang. perhaps overtime it'll appear but for now this is the nicest, quickest, best looking keyboard.

All of the keycaps feel much cheaper than the ones on my last keyboard. The chassis of the device appears to be the same construction which is good because they are very solid. But it seems that everything else that they have stuck onto it was the bottom of the barrel. Typing on the optical keys feels very mushy almost as bad as some membrane keyboards nothing even close to the mechanical keys I am used to. I have also noticed a very loud noise that comes from the board when typing quickly. It almost sounds like a spring that is constantly being shaken just enough to make a noise if that makes sense. But even with a headset on it is still quite noticeable. Overall I would say that this is very much not worth the price and I would look for another brand to buy peripherals from as it seems Corsair is riding on the quality of the past to make sales today while totally dumping the quality of its new products.

Sorry to hear, the K100 RGB's OPX switches should be very smooth and linear. Perhaps you are accustomed to tactile mechanical switches, such as Cherry MX Brown or Blue which have bumps and clicks? The keycaps should also be very high quality PBT keycaps. You may be hearing a ping with when typing, which very common with mechanical keyboards. We decided to get this keyboard for the its colorful lights. He does not use the keyboard for gaming because he has controllers for that. We have not figured out how to turn off the lights when not in use.

However, I encountered a repeating issue where the keyboard randomly stopped working. This would result in the keyboard freezing without warning. The only way to fix the issue required me to unplug the keyboard and reset it. After further investigation, it seems to be a deeper issue with the K100 that other people have dealt with it. It seems to be a firmware issue that would cause the keyboard to have the same issue I was having. Corsair has yet to address this issue for its premium high-end keyboard. I highly advise not purchasing this keyboard until the issue is addressed. I really hope Corsair does fix this issue as the keyboard is excellent in every other aspect, a true flagship product.
