I ended up returning it and getting a Logitech g815 which was way better in design but it is gl clicky which I wasn't really happy with and still better than this one.

The only problem is you need to hit the exact middle of the space bar for it to engage. The machanism under the key is a cheap metal wire that comes unsnapped from the plastic brackets and is intended to allow a user to press any part of the key, but it doesn't work. This is not great when gaming, and your hand is offset to the left.

Since it is a saved default, why doesn't it happen by defaul? I've wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to get around it. Based on community groups this appears to be a common problem without a resolution I could find.
