Customers commend the K60 PRO TKL keyboard for its overall build quality and vibrant RGB backlighting. Users appreciate its compact size, pleasant key feel, and fast response time, considering it a great value for the price. However, some find the keyboard's noise level to be a bit high, and the software can be challenging to navigate.

Worked great for about six months. Suddenly had severe connection issues, would randomly disconnect from the compute even though the power cord was untouched. Keys randomly started sticking and not responding. Better to spend your money on something worthwhile.

I'm a bit of a keyboard snob. I have several go to brands and Corsair is one of my favorites. My most favorite is their K100. I use it for work and gaming daily. Corsair has had ten key less keyboards in the past but they are stepping up their game (pun intended) with the TKL 60 Pro. I've been tinkering with several of the brands that have full customizable keyboards where you can change out the switches and key caps but those can get pretty cost prohibitive. For a small form factor racing simulator I have I needed a compact keyboard to set to the side of the seat sled. The TKL 60 Pro is exactly what I needed. The 60% size affords me a bit more space where I can also use a mouse to navigate the game menus. The optical keys are a bit clicky but tactle feedback is excellent. Stroke travel is perfect for my liking and the response is extremely quick. I was hoping the switches could be swapped but from what I can tell the switches are fixed. But, if you don't like the keycaps there are other standard sets you can purchase if you wish to customize the K60. The weight of the keyboard and the rubber grips is on par with most gaming units and keeps it from sliding around your desktop while you are deep in game play. The LEDs are fully customizable using Corsair iCue software. You can easily switch between standard effects or customize to your liking. I actually use a bit of software called SignalRGB for a complete system LED setup. Corsair is fully supported. The only issue I have with 60% keyboards is you give up dedicated media keys but instead you can use function keys with fn key pressed to shortcut media control. All in all it's a great keyboard from one of my favorite computer accessory/component manufacturers. 2 thumbs up Corsair. The OPX is a solid performer. I'm happy I added it to my keyboard stable.

When it comes to Keywords, its either TKL or nothing. Corsair has absolutely killed it with this TKL Keyboard, minus a few things this keyboard will satisfy even the hardest to please. From the Optical Switches to the Bright RGB to the portability this is about as good as it gets. Aesthetics/RGB- When it comes to aesthetics, corsair doesn't play games. The RGB on this keyboard is as good as it gets. Pair that with the iCue software and it is the best combo in the game giving per key control over the RGB. The brushed aluminum look and clicky keys are quite satisfying; The Keyboard connects with a detachable USB type C cable which is great considering it isn't a wireless keyboard, however, the cable isn't braided which doesn't make sense to me as all my other corsair keyboards come with braided (albeit non detachable) cables. The thickness of the keyboard is quite substantial and is about twice as thick as my G915 but this is likely due to the optical switches. This isn't really applicable for many people but if you want to travel with this keyboard it is to be noted. Optical Keys - The corsair optical keys are quite clicky, comparable to a Cherry MX Red but not as much travel - maybe even a hybrid between a MX Red and a MX Brown. I enjoy it for gaming, however, they are not the best keys for typing long form emails, school work or anything that would be lengthy in the amount you are typing due to the keys having a decent distance to travel for actuation. Value - at $130 we are getting into the higher end of keyboards. You could make the claim that it is double the price of the HyperX TKL but that would not be an apt comparison as these keys, switches, build and lighting are in a higher class. The better comparison would be to the Razer Black widow (v3) and the Steel series Apex Pro which it is about the same price if not cheaper while delivering the same if not better quality. Conclusion- Compared to all the other keyboards in its class, this is by far my favorite that I have tried. While this isn't a wireless keyboard and is a little beefy it is easily forgivable with the detachable USB C cable, great per key lighting and optical switches. I find this great for most gamers looking for a clean aesthetic and a portable one if needed. I recommend going to bestbuy and trying out the optical keys as they are the next generation of keys and I quite literally fell in love with them and the feedback while reviewing this unit. While I am a full size keyboard kind of person, I will be looking into a corsair keyboard with optical switches to replace my aging G915. Outside of bestbuys excellent product support you will also find corsairs to be of quality with pretty good warranties. Corsair makes good products and stands behind them.

Solid feel & solid response equals great keyboard

Corsair has long been known for great computer components - and in recent years they've brought that experience, attention to detail and quality craftsmanship into the world of peripherals, particularly focusing on "gamer" oriented devices like this keyboard. And all of those attributes that has made a name for Corsair are on display here. First, the build quality - this keyboard is SOLID. I'm a pretty "hard" typist and there's absolutely no flex in this thing at all. You can feel it in the weight and see it in how thick it is compared to cheaper keyboards. This was meant to last. The optical switches aren't "clicky" - they're more akin to linear mechanical switches in their feel but they respond FAST. To that end, they're great for fast twitch gaming and fast typing (though I did have to get use to the speed - for the first few minutes, I was double typing a lot of characters). They aren't quite silent, but your sound / loudness will vary with how hard you type, unlike clicky keyboards that are always clicky. The RGB is a nice touch - if you don't install the Corsair iCUE software (which I recommend you do) you get sort of a cascading rainbow animation. With the software, you can set and store your favorite pattern on a per key basis and the colors/lights really do POP. You don't get dedicated media keys here, but there area media secondary functions on the function keys which are always close at hand. This also keeps the keyboard smaller - which is kind of what you want in a TKL keyboard anyhow. Overall, if you're in the market for a fast, responsive TKL keyboard this is a good option - with great configuration, a solid typing experience and durable construction, it's well worth picking up!

      Hello Kevin,

Sorry to hear you had issues with noise and the use of a KVM switch. Do know that connected directly to the PC/console wouldn't create this noise from what I've seen. If your keyboard is indeed dead, do contact our team directly right on our site at any time.

I pretty much exclusively use Corsair keyboards these days. The iCue software that allows programming of each individual key, or to theme the entire keyboard is exceptionally easy to use, and integrates with most 3rd party RGB lit peripherals on the market. This keyboard utilizes the OPX optical-mechanical key switches. What does this mean to you? It utilizes infrared light on each key. When the key is pressed, the light beam is broken and the keystroke is reported to the computer. It doesn't get any faster than that, and these keys are rated to basically last forever. The LED lighting on each key is extremely bright and a pure pleasure to add to your RGB gaming setup, or business setup for that matter. I've tried the keyboard in both work and play situations. It doesn't generate enough noise to be an annoyance in the office/cubical farm, and for games it performed spectacularly! It's the same size as a regular keyboard with the numeric keypad chopped off. The only part that I miss is the roller-volume control that is typical on Corsair keyboards, but it's a fair trade-off to get the smaller size. You can't go wrong with this keyboard, or any of their products for that matter!

No frills keyboard with responsive optical keys

Corsair’s latest TKL (TenKeyless or numberpadless) keyboard sports their new signature OPX keys. First featured on the K100 OPX keyboard, the optical switches found in Corsair’s K60 offer over 150 million (yes million) keystrokes per key. That combined with their linear actuation point, they offer an ultrafast actuation and zero debounce. So how does the K60 stack up against more traditional offers and other key types? First of all, like most Corsair products, this one comes in a nice yellow box. The OPX switches are advertised as the primary selling feature along with the TKL form factor. It’s a highly recyclable box with almost no packing waste, so that’s a plus. Inside you’ll find the keyboard and a USB-C to USB-A cable. Unfortunately there are no USB ports on this keyboard, and at this price point, it would be nice to have a place to put a wireless mouse receiver or something. As far as the keyboard goes, we have Corsair’s excellent lighting, their penchant for using aluminum casings, and solid keycaps (ABS given the feel). The keyboard layout is a standard layout, so replacement caps are easily found. The OPX keys have standard cherry mounts, so pretty much any set will work if you choose to replace them. The keyboard has an excellent weight to it and the aluminum plate makes flex minimal to none and give the keyboard a sturdy and premium feel. The keyboard doesn’t offer anything beyond the standard TKL layout. Function modifiers allow volume and media functions as well as some basic keyboard functions like brightness. Even then, there are few frills here. So what are the OPX switches like? They feel like Cherry MX Red’s with a shorter actuation point. To the point that you have to be careful when depressing or even resting your finders on the keys. For gaming it’s extremely responsive. For typing it takes some getting used to. However, when gaming, it’s extremely responsive. I play Starcraft 2 and I found the ability to spam on this quite high. Although I also found I miskeyed more too. Again, there is a learning curve when using this beyond shooters. CS:GO I found the adjustment was easier. Again, these are really short actuating keys, so your mileage may vary. Corsair’s software allows you to tweak the keyboard to your delight. In iCUE 4 you can create lighting profiles, sync with other profiles, re-assign keys, and disable certain key functions (like the windows key or alt+tab). iCue also allows you to adjust important settings like layout and polling rate. This keyboard by the way supports a polling rate of up to 8000hz, which isn’t enabled by default. 1000Hz should be plenty for all but the most competitive gamer, and keeps CPU utilization to a minimum, but it’s there if you decide you need it. Besides the excellent software, there are multiple lighting effects built into the keyboard. These are cool because they don’t require iCUE. You get 10 built in effects that can be customized and programmed into the keyboard. Some may find the Type Lighting to be cool, but honestly being able to set a static backup color for the backlight and program is a good fallback as opposed to the RGB throw up that used to be the default. So overall the K60 TKL OPX is an interesting keyboard. It’s an excellent keyboard that would be perfect if it had a USB port and PBT keycaps. The key switches offer some unique features, and durability that may appeal to some. My experience was that it took several hours to adjust to their behavior, but now I’m able to type pretty quickly and game effectively. The ultra short throw and no debounce make this keyboard great for any type of gaming. The price and investment in an otherwise no frills keyboard is something that needs to be weighed. There are lots of keyboards at this price segment, so while the OPX switches offer a really unique experience, I’d like to see a bit more. Regardless this is a solid keyboard and offers Corsair’s excellent software, eco-system, and experience.
