I use this keyboard in a variety of applications. From gaming, to video and photo editing, to general everyday use. The K65 has proven to be a versatile companion for various tasks on both my Mac and Windows machines. It has seamlessly transitioned from intense gaming sessions to meticulous photo/video editing and back to everyday routines. Each application has its unique demands, and this keyboard has consistently delivered. In everyday use, this keyboard shines with its comfortable typing experience. The ergonomic design reduces strain, even during prolonged typing sessions. The keys have a satisfying tactile feel, providing a pleasant and responsive typing experience (more on this later). Whether I'm writing emails, browsing the web, crawling dungeons, editing photos and videos, or working on documents, this keyboard has been a joy to use and has become an essential part of my computing setup. The Corsair K65 keyboard boasts impressive versatility, catering to both Mac and Windows users. While it successfully delivers compatibility across platforms, it falls short of meeting the specific needs of Mac users in certain aspects. These shortcomings, however, are relatively minor and can likely be resolved through future updates. The Corsair iCUE software, designed for customizing lighting effects and macros, lacks full optimization for macOS. At the time of this review, the installation of the iCUE software on my Mac remains unsuccessful (see screenshot). While the Windows software functions flawlessly, it is disappointing that a product marketed for both platforms does not have simultaneous working software compatibility. Corsair can, and most likely will enhance the compatibility of its iCUE software with macOS, granting Mac users access to the same level of customization and control as Windows users. This could involve adding support for advanced features, customizing RGB, and providing a more intuitive user interface. By implementing these solutions, Corsair can further refine the K65 keyboard's capabilities for Mac users, making it a more compelling option for those seeking a versatile and high-performance peripheral. That said, I am just happy that companies are starting to make keyboards like this for Mac users. Being a dedicated user of both Mac and Windows computers, I find the Corsair K65 keyboard's seamless functionality across both platforms to be a standout feature, and why I wanted it in the first place. Its versatility makes it an excellent option for multi-device owners or those who frequently switch between operating systems, like myself. With Corsair's reputation for excellence, I have no doubt that any Mac-related issues will be promptly addressed and resolved. The build quality of this keyboard is simply outstanding and among the very best I've ever experienced. Constructed using durable, premium-grade materials, it boasts exceptional longevity and resilience against wear and tear, making it ideal for both intensive gaming sessions and everyday use. The well built frame and sturdy keycaps provide a solid, stable typing platform that feels incredible to use. In terms of typing comfort and ease of use, I can confidently say that this keyboard is unmatched. Having owned multiple mechanical gaming keyboards in the past, I can attest that this one offers the most comfortable and effortless typing experience I've had to date. Crafted with attention to detail, this keyboard is built to withstand the rigors of intense gaming marathons and daily use. It truly stands out as an exceptional choice for gamers and typists alike, consistently exceeding expectations with every keystroke. Having Corsair MLX Red switches, the typing experience is next to silent, almost effortless, and super smooth. I never thought I would say that typing is fun, but with this keyboard it most certainly is! Moving on to the RGB lighting. Although it's a popular feature on gaming keyboards, I prefer individual key backlighting to enhance the visibility of letters and numbers. The customizable RGB lighting on this keyboard is positioned behind all the keys, but the key printing is white and not translucent. In my opinion, translucent keys would improve readability in low-light conditions and would be an excellent feature to include on the next version. I have another Corsair keyboard that has translucent keys, so I know this is definitely possible. Are there things I wish this keyboard had to make it better? Absolutely, but only a few and they are minor. Is it good enough for a cross platform device as it stands? Definitely, and it will only get better with a few updates. A couple of things I would love to see Corsair consider in the near future would be the previously mentioned translucent keys, as well as a larger version of this same keyboard with a 10 key included. In summary, the Corsair K65 is an excellent option for gamers seeking a well-designed and adaptable gaming keyboard that works seamlessly across platforms and takes up minimal desk space. Whether you have an iMac, a gaming desktop, or laptop, if you prefer a more tactile typing experience, this keyboard is an ideal choice. Its compact size makes it easily portable, allowing you to pack it in your backpack with your laptop and mouse, creating a formidable mobile gaming setup virtually anywhere.

After a week of testing the Corsair K65 Plus Wireless Gaming Keyboard, I can confidently say it's a strong contender for my favorite keyboard. I was immediately impressed by the keyboard's design. Its compact size saves me valuable desk space without sacrificing functionality. The back features a USB-C charging port, a hidden storage compartment for the wireless RF dongle, toggles for Windows/Mac and power/RF/Bluetooth modes, and on the left, an on/off switch for the keyboard lights. Topping it off are the keycaps which is where the magic happens. It has silky smooth and responsive keys. The pre-lubricated CORSAIR MLX Red linear switches are fantastic. Each keystroke has a pleasant springy feel, lightning-fast response, and generates significantly less noise than any other keyboard I've tested. Also, with Its 75% size, the K65 retained all the functionality I needed with full-sized keys, including function keys, arrow keys, and page up/down/home. Missing keys are accessible through convenient function key shortcuts. This keyboard truly delivered all the functionality in a smaller footprint. Another great feature is the versatile control dial. With a simple press of the FN key along with Up, Down, or Left, you can switch its function between controlling volume, keyboard brightness, scrolling, or even zooming in/out. Overall Impression The Corsair K65 Plus Wireless Gaming Keyboard offers a compelling combination of sleek design, top-notch performance, and space-saving convenience. Its quiet and responsive keys, combined with the versatile control dial, make it a strong contender for anyone seeking a top-tier wireless gaming keyboard.

This is the best keyboard I've owned so far. Super high quality, sturdy and solid, the keys feel amazing and are quieter than I thought they would be. They have a "thock" to them underneath the sound dampening affect of the...sound dampeners. Overall, I'm thoroughly surprised that this keyboard is this cheap, it honest to god feels like I should have paid $250 to $300 for this thing. Absolutely premium! ONE GRIPE, HOWEVER, IF I MAY!!!! Can't use full lighting customization in iCue if you're using the keyboard wirelessly...FOR SOME REASON!!?? D8>

The Corsair K65 Plus is a great pre built 75% keyboard. The switches are an extremely smooth pre lubed linear switch and the keycaps are a nice pbt set. The keycaps are not shine through, just something to keep in mind. The keyboard supports icue but also has shortcuts to control the keyboard without software if you prefer. The Bluetooth and wireless modes both work well, the only downside is the wireless isn’t slipstream compatible so you can’t sync it with your other Corsair peripherals. Overall this is a great mechanical keyboard, especially if you wha to stay in the Corsair ecosystem.

Versatile, Customizable, but Keys Are Opaque

Nice gaming keyboard with lots of good features. It can be used with a PC, MAC, or gaming consoles Xbox or PlayStation, or connected to iOS and Android devices. The keys have customizable LED backlighting. Connections can be made wirelessly with Bluetooth or 2.4Gz dongle (with convenient storage slot in the top edge of the keyboard) or wired. Corsair's iCue software allows customization of the keyboard including MACROS, key assignments, and RGB keyboard lighting effects. (Layered and per key lighting effects require the wired connection.) I'm using this keyboard on a Win11 PC, wired. The keystrokes are smooth, responsive, and relatively quiet. The keyboard has a 75% footprint width compared to a standard sized keyboard, but they didn't sacrifice key size, they eliminated dead space. That leaves a little extra room next to the keyboard for mouse movement. Customizing the key functions, lighting, and macros is fairly easy with the iCue software, it has tutorials that walk you through those processes. I customized mine for my favorite game by highlighting specific keys in different colors and also reassigning some vital key functions. There's one thing about this keyboard that I didn't like: the keys are completely opaque, text is not lit up by the backlighting. I found this somewhat annoying, I backlit some keys in different colors so they would be highlighted, but illuminated key text is much more preferable. I feel that Corsair missed big time on this and why I give it four stars instead of five. Otherwise, it's an excellent gaming keyboard and if opaque keys don't bother you then there's nothing not to like.

My favorite keyboard to date. The switches sound amazing. Decent battery life, okayish lightning. You do need to use it wired for the more intense lightning options. But beyond that the build quality and typing experience on this keyboard is definitely worth what you're getting. Comes with a key cap remover, which makes cleaning it a lot easier. I will be using this keyboard untill they stop making them

I previously owned a K70 Core and traded it in to get this keyboard and it was the best decision I made! I love how quiet it is and how well built it is. It is on the heavier side, but that means that it will not slide around on the table or mat at all. It has the ability to run on Macs with the keys labeled for both Windows and Mac computers which is a plus since I own both. You can also set up to three bluetooth connections using the "fn" key and turn on a switch in the back to allow bluetooth connection. It is on the pricier side, but considering what I have written so far and that you can hot-swap the switches in the future, it was well worth the purchase!

I have tried many keyboards and discovered what features I prefer most. The keyboard tick all the boxes for me! From a usability standpoint, this keyboard just felt right at the moment I laid my hands on the home row and continued to impress me the more I used it for typing in general computer use. I am easily able to type on the keyboard with minimal key repetition and few mistakes. This is not something I can say for most gaming ready keyboards. In addition, this keyboard comes ready for future upgrades with any of the cherry MX profile mechanicals key switches, and there are many compatible key caps for customization. The battery life is substantial, considering that this has a 1000 Hz polling rate all while being, fully wireless. The Corsair software also allows me to customize the keys to my liking by re-mapping certain keys for gaming mode, and different keys for computing mode. The only downside out of the box is that the key caps are not shine through and you may have difficulty seeing the keys with dim lighting.

As a nerd that’s bought many overpriced, underpriced and everything in between keyboards and mice this thing is built like a tank. The keya was not loud but still the nice quality. It makes you question what guy wanted loud clacky keys. Bit heavier then other keyboards but it’s not made of cheap plastic so tradeoffs. I carry this in a backpack. I’m going to be looking for a full sized version to replace my razer at my pc
