Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the high-quality build, vibrant RGB backlighting, and satisfying key feel of the K68 keyboard. Many also praise its ease of use, affordability, and water resistance, along with the intuitive software for customizing lighting effects. While some found the wrist rest less than ideal and the switches not to their preference, the overall positive feedback highlights its value as a gaming keyboard.

Keys go bad in less than a week

I had this keyboard for less than a week and the the backspace and '0' key on 10 keypad are de-bouncing differently. Worried that the rest of keys will go that way. The keyboard is what I was expecting in that it feels solid. Don't know if this is a fluke. I feel like i want to give it another shot before I say Corsair has bad quality control.

The backlight stopped working and the key board does not make the mechanical clickity clack noise. It is too late for me to return it because it did not break within the return period, but so you know I bought it less than 12 months ago. Maybe I should send it back to Corsair.

I had a 5 year old back lit keyboard that I have used for several years. This is for sure step up. The keys are nice and brightly lit. You do NOT have to install the software to make it work. I plugged it into my Windows 10 computer and it worked fine. If I ever get robbed, I am pretty sure I can use this as a self defense weapon. i love the wrist rest. I have of course already spilled coffee in it, and it did not die. Only a few minor cons my old keyboard was at a better angle. I like it more facing toward me. The RBG colors are super cool, not why anyone would want dancing color changing lights but that me. I have not figured out how to program individual keys (or to save a setting). There are NO instructions. The keys are highly raised from the keyboard itself. If you look at the pics you can see it but may not notice. Kinda annoying. If you live in a dorm or close roommates, these keys are LOUD. The caps lock notification is a tiny white dot, NOT on the caps lock key. Overall, ya this is a great upgrade if you have an older keyboard.

Nice feeling keyboard with pretty lights

This keyboard has been pretty nice to type on and that's really all that's important. But since almost all keyboards have fancy lights now a days, it's probably a good idea to compare those. As far as lighting goes, this one is the nicest I've seen. The keys have a small gap under them that the light shines through. Other keyboards kind of have their lighting segregated under each key where you can only see the lights on the tops of the keys. This makes the motion when animating the lights look a little choppier. Motion on this keyboard looks nice and smooth because it can be seen under the keys as well. I like it, but I can see other people might not. Software-wise, it was pretty easy to set up with only a couple of weird issues. The first one was that, although I'm sure the same software is used for all of their keyboards, going to the support section of their site would list individual keyboards and a download for each one. Not a big deal, just seemed strange. When installing the software, it needed to close my Razer Synapse software. It's the older version of Razer Synapse so maybe the newer versions don't have this issue, but I just found that to be strange as well. After that, it was all good. Software feels light weight and easy to use. There are a lot of lighting options and there was even an advanced mode where you could download and add more (I didn't try to download any but the option was there) All in all, I like the way the keyboard feels, which is the most important part. All the extra lights and frills are just an added bonus. There are no bindable function keys or other extra things like that so pay attention to that if you are looking for extra macro keys.

First off, this sucker is heavy. It will not move very easy once you set it down to play your game or type that long diatribe. Second, the colors available to you for custom interface are next to none. Third, the disable windows button is a godsend (although I don't have a issue with hitting it by accident). Fourth, you can download custom interfaces from others in the forums to make your keyboard the talk of the room. Now for the nitty gritty. keys are normal qwerty but have smaller spacing so I still need to get use to where they are located while trying to type. the keys are way sensitive, so just laying your fingers on it will activate them (gamers rest fingers on keys to get quick actions). The keys are set higher than normal so unless you use a keyboard tray, you might have some issues typing normally till you get use to it. It does tilt and that helps somewhat, but flat is the best for getting accustom to it. The keyboard is spill resistant and shows some craftsmanship in the action/response/ghosting of the keys. You get near perfect action when you hit the key and using a combo is simple with the anti-ghosting it has. There is little to complain about except the size of the whole keyboard. Wish it was a little larger to accommodate normal to larger hands. But otherwise it is perfect and I wish I got one sooner.

This keyboard is so cool with all the different lighting settings available. Not sure why it's called a gaming keyboard though. It's setup just as any other keyboard. I'm coming from a Merc Stealth and that was a gaming keyboard - separate keys off to the side. Anyway, this really is a nice keyboard. It's mechanical, very heavy and just feels great while typing. I've never been a fan of wrist rests but this one really benefits from the included one. Although mine is a little warped but will hopefully flatten out after time. All in all, this is a very nice keyboard and looks great with the lights.

This keyboard is great in so many ways. It is hefty and durable which is great for holding up during long hours of gaming. The keyboard is rated to be dust and water resistant and from my testing so far I would agree that it holds up to these standards. The build quality is way above average. The keys are very responsive and they allow for easy and responsive feedback. One of my favorite things about the keyboard is the backlighting and ability for customization. The program is easy to use to customize it although you will need intermediate computer skills to figure it out. The amount of customization is endless. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who needs a gaming keyboard or just wants a durable and customizable keyboard.

This review is from a user who has had several Corsair keyboard in the past including K70 and K95 versions. I think this keyboard continues the great build quality and functionality that I would expect from a Corsair product. As I am use to typing on Cherry brown keys the Cherry red's take a little getting use to but I think if you are in the market for a mechanical keyboard and need something that is for a slightly harsher environment (say a shop or garage) this keyboard is a great choice in place of something like a K70. I do wish it still had the USB pass through but I understand for a keyboard that is spill resistant that might not have been a priority the design. The LED back lighting on this keyboard is great. The rubber shield they use around the keys for the splash resistance manages to make the lighting look better than even my older K95RGB variant. One thing of note is with the membrane around the keys I was worried that the keys might feel a little mushy when you get to the bottom of the travel but for the most part I don't seem to notice any mushiness. Overall a great keyboard.

The Corsair Mechanical Cherry MX keyboard with RGB lighting was so dully lit, it caused immediate eye strain. I recommend purchasing a Steel Series RGB Keyboard. Has excellent visible backlight combinations and click clack keys, if you're into that. I've been using my Steel Series RGB Keyboard every day for nearly a year now and have not had a single issue with it. Also purchased my Steel Series Keyboard from Best Buy.

      Hi Nodisplayname,

Cherry MX Red switches are linear and do not have a click, you would want to purchase a keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches for a click.

Corsair added unnecessary weight to this keyboard to make it feel "expensive", but don't be fooled. The construction is cheap. Buttons are oddly spaced. Not ergonomic at all. They also pop off very easily. RGB lighting is very dim even if turned all the way up. I had this keyboard for two hours and I already hate it. Will return it tomorrow.

I got this gaming keyboard for my 11 year old son who loves to online game on his computer. He loves how the keyboard lights up. I asked him if the keyboard has helped him win more of the games he wins online and he said yes. I asked him to explain it to me, but I didn't quite understand, I just know that he believes that he has an advantage over other gamers as a result of using this Corsair keyboard. If you or someone in your household is into gaming, consider purchasing this keyboard.

I’m coming from a 20$ amazon gaming keyboard that I’ve had for about 2yrs now. When I got this keyboard I was excited to use it but to my surprise I ended up not liking this keyboard so much. I don’t understand why people like the loud clicking noise it makes when ever u press a key? My old 20$ keyboard had super quiet key caps and was very comfortable to use, unlike this Corsair keyboard. I did like the RGB but I find it useless since it doesn’t give me any performance boost in gaming. I also use this for my school work which sucked since like I said the key caps are so loud and annoying when typing. Pro: RGB Heavy built Long cable Cons: Loud when typing Slides around on my desk

I may not be proficient in a gaming keyboard, as this is my first, however, having transcribed 8 hours a day for many years, I know a good solid keyboard when I use one and this is definitely that. It is heavy duty and stays where you put it without it moving around on you. It is very comfortable for typing all day without stress on your fingers or wrists. I particularly like that it has protection under the keys for spills, food debris, etc. This would have been a life saver for me with all the other keyboards I have gone through. I like that is has a Caps Lock light to let you know when you are using your Caps and this doesn’t come on all keyboards. This comes in very handy when you are typing in passwords. I don’t know how many times I have typed in passwords and it took me a while to figure out that I couldn’t get in because I had the Caps Lock key on and didn’t know it. As far as the gaming aspect, I can’t wait to start programming the keys with the Cue that you can download from the Corsair site. This will come in handy for more things than just gaming, if I get creative. I highly recommend this keyboard. The keys respond very quickly to your touch and I just love the background lighting on it that has different moving light patterns already set up or you can get creative and customize your own patterns.
