Decent keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's definitely entry level for a gaming keyboard. Ended up returning it because my Deathadder doesn't work with the USB port on the keyboard.

Did not work!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a new computer and wanted to match it with a nice mechanical keyboard. The Corsair - K70 Mechanical Keyboard had a good touch when I tried it in the store. However, when I attempted to connect it at home, I got a "KEYBOARD ERROR" on start up. The keyboard was not recognized by my HP desktop. So I returned it to Best Buy.

Keyboard takes some getting used to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No complaints regarding how the keyboard performs, but it is difficult to adjust to the smaller layout. I fat finger everything and i don't even have fat fingers!

Red lights hurt my eyes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mistakenly thought this keyboard was multicolor. The red lights are REALLY hard to focus on. I will be getting a different keyboard. But, other than that, it's great. :)

Good Keyboard for anyone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this keyboard for over a year. My old keyboard broke down so I decided to try the Mechanical keyboards and yes.. they are very pricey. However I still went with it. This keyboard supports mx cherry red meaning red switches. Red switches are good for gaming and are not very loud like the blue switches. The red switches give off a responds when you press it half way and pressing the keyboard is very smooth. The keyboard comes with back lighting (red) and it also comes with custom key caps and a key cap puller for the keyboard. This also has a wrist band that you can put on but if you don't like it just take it off. This keyboard has a usb hub on the top middle and this keyboard needs 2 usbs to work. Since this is a gaming keyboard, you can disable windows button the top middle of the keyboard. There is also an adjustable volume mixer (lower or increase volume and mute). There is media keys on the top right that you can use for music and etc. For back lighting, you can edit it by holding down the first button on the top right, there is also 2 profiles you can edit your back lighting switch on. You can also change the light to make it brighter or darker. I have had this keyboard for a year and no lights have died and I recommend you buy this nice keyboard.

Awesome keyboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great keyboard for anyone looking for a reasonably priced mechanical keyboard. My only issues with it is that there is no desktop software for it; everything is controlled via the keyboard, and there isn't much on there to fine-tune. The Cherry MX Red switches are a bit too sensitive for me, but it's nothing I couldn't get used to. Other than those two minor annoyances, this keyboard is GREAT. Even if you aren't gaming on it (Which I am!), just typing on it is absolutely wonderful!

Very excellent keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this keyboard to compliment my gaming laptop, and I am very satisfied. I didn't really want to spend extra money on a color changing keyboard, and I just plain didn't want the programmable keys, so this one seemed like a good match. The back lighting makes makes the keyboard look fantastic, and it's very easy to use in low light. It's plug and play, not needing any driver installation for all the command keys to work. It is very satisfying to type on, with nice feedback and a really cool sound. Everything about it is high quality and easy to use.

Fantastic keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm coming from a Razer blackwidow tournament edition so I am used to Cherry Blue-like switches. This is my first red switch keyboard. It is amazing. This keyboard is amazing. The red lighting is perfect for my build which has a red and black theme. The frame of the keyboard is very, very solid. Full metal. Nice thick, braided cable with gold plated USBs. Comes with extra unique textured key caps that look and feel great. Definitely worth the money. If you want the advanced 8-bit RGB lighting, get the k95.

Excellent keyboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hesitated for the longest time about spending the dough on a mechanical keyboards, mostly due the prices. Grabbed this baby on sale and glad I did. This is by far the best keyboard I've ever had. The keys are really nice and responsive, I think it may actually allow me to type faster - or at least make spelling mistakes a lot faster :) The lighted keys are nice for night time, but can be a bit harder to see in the light.

Great Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for 100 bucks. This keyboard has a great feel to it, cool red lights, nice pad for your wrist to rest on and a couple other options. It's pretty much what you expect from a good mechanical keyboard. Only Con I would give it personally is the stop, backward, play/pause, and forward buttons it's in an odd place, I watch a fair bit of movie and listen to a fair bit of music it's kinda tucked away.

Perfect, for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One note-I ended up getting the blue LED one online. I just couldn't take the red glow, as the dimmest seemed a little bright. Other that this is almost perfect. #1 for me was no software. I run my gaming machine with minimal overhead and I do that by not having junk loaded. I might have acquiesced on this for the Uber Razer Chroma, but I didn't want their geeky font they use on the keybaord. I might have got the Corsair K70 RGB or next one up but I read nothing but bad reviews about the software being massively non-intuitive. All that said, there are 3 light levels and off, it is very easy to select which keys you want on or off. There are two lit settings, all on or selected keys on. Lastly, but awesome, is the design that has the keys on top of the housing, resulting in less issues with junk getting inside the keyboard. I do not have any issue typing on it, in fact I love the mechanical keyboard and actually have slightly fewer mistakes in a little faster time. That is opposite of most comments I have read but it may be because I am old school and started on mechanical keyboards.

Amazing Keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this keyboard for over a week now and I am not disappointed with my purchase. Full cherry mx red switches make it ideal for gaming. I find the red switches are the best for gaming because they are linear and take little to no force to press down. The key by key backlighting is amazing when playing in the dark. I was looking for a back lit keyboard because I love gaming in the dark. It has a button to switch between full lit keyboard and WASD and 1-6. If you hold down that button for about 5 secs it will start to flash, then you can set what keys you want to be lit up. Then you just hold it down for 5 more secs and your all set. The WASD and 1-6 keys are textured if you chose to use them. There is truly nothing wrong with this keyboard and would recommend it to a gamer any day.

Brilliant!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally decided to make the switch to mechanical keyboards. I've always used membrane keyboard and found myself switching far too often because the keys would either stop responding or become extremely mushy. After doing a lot of research, I decided to go with the Cherry MX Red switches because of their linear feel. At the Best Buy I was at, I tried blue, brown, and red switches. I found that the blue and brown were very similar (as they should be) and that they also had a grainy feeling as you pressed down. I couldn't get used to that, especially when the red switches feel like butter. Now, on to the product. The Corsair K70 is one of the most solid keyboards I've even held. It has a full aluminum chassis that gives no flex and provides a solid feel on any desk. Surprisingly, the key caps have an incredibly "high quality" feel to them as well. I just thought they would be cheap plastic on most other keyboards but this is not the case. The keys are just as solid and feel great to the touch. The red back lighting that the K70 has is absolutely stunning. You really have to see it in person. It's a darker, almost blood-like, red. In the dark, it just looks awesome. I've heard some people having trouble with the LEDs going out but I haven't had that issue and I'm not expecting to because I keep the back lighting off in a brightly lit room. I think this keyboard is very attractive in terms of design. It looks a lot better in life than it does in pictures. As a side note, I think a big plus to this keyboard is that the bottom of the key caps is not hidden by a plastic border as with with most other keyboards. This makes for very easy cleaning as you can just blow all of the dust or debris out from the side without having to remove all of the keys. The detachable wrist rest is of high quality but it is a bit low. It creates a nice surface for you palms to rest on but it doesn't provide much support for you wrists. Not a big issue for me but it's something to take note of. On the other hand, this is one of the only keyboards that places media keys so elegantly on the top right corner. I really wanted separate buttons for volume control. This keyboard takes that a step further by having a volume wheel (made of metal). This makes adjusting volume very convenient and easy. Lastly, the sound. I found that the Cherry MX Reds are the quietest of the mechanical switches. That's not to say that this keyboard is quiet though. It's actually quite a bit louder that any of the membrane keyboards that I've used before. The sounds that the red switches make is just music to my ears though. It is extremely satisfying to hear the sounds of your typing on this thing. It's odd to say that but until you try it, you wont realize what you're missing. The switches are also very sensitive. I noticed that if my hand is laying on the keys with the pressure it used to lay on membrane keyboards, the mechanical switch will actually register keystrokes. That's pretty awesome because I'm usually a very light typing and I don't like bottoming out and this keyboard allows me to do that without any skipping. As for gaming, this keyboard is as good as it gets. The linear strokes of the reds make FPS games a lot of fun and much easier to play. I can't say much more about that as I'm not a heavy gamer but I've heard that red or black switches are the best for gaming depending on how heavy you want the actuation to be. $129.99 is a steep price for a keyboard and I took a long time to justify such a price but in the end, I would do it again for the typing experience this keyboard provides. In all honesty, this keyboard is so solid that the $129.99 that you spend will probably last you for at least the next 10 years. This is a must have!

So nice to type on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I also have a Logitech G710+ (Brown switches) and I actually prefer the different feel of the K70's Cherry MX Red switches. (It's also available with the Blue or Brown switches but was really looking for Red.) The intensity of the red LED's can be adjusted to 3 levels or turned off. Not planning on gaming a whole lot with it but for gamers the ability to light up only WASD and 1-6 is a nice touch. The Windows key lockout is handy for gamers too. My main point in writing this review is to state how nice it is to type on the keyboard, after minutes of adjusting to the feel and spacing compared to my G710+ I am actually looking forward to typing more on the K70. This keyboard also has a USB pass-through with the USB port on the back, and some media controls including the same style volume wheel that is also on the G710+ which I happen to like the design and functionality of.

Loving this Keyboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just picked up this keyboard today and am loving it so far. I did a lot of research and this keyboard seemed to have mostly favorable reviews. I just purchased it today and I must say that so far I am very satisfied with it. This is my first mechanical keyboard and the difference between this and a standard membrane keyboard is like night and day. Don't let anyone fool you, I was skeptical having used membrane keyboards all my life, but the K70 has made me a true believer. It's not anyone one thing but a combination of the responsiveness of the keys, the feel of the mechanical switches, the stunning backlighting and the overall fit and finish of the item that makes it, for me, the complete package. I will submit an additional review in a month or so, but so far no complaints.

Amazing Keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first cherry mx red keyboard and I was nervous about the loud clicking that people were talking about. I like quiet laptop keyboards the best but I really wanted to give this keyboard a try. If you absolutely can't stand loud keyboards do not bother with this one. However the sturdiness and the feel of the cherry mx keys are so awesome I don't care about the loudness anymore. If you have a non-laptop type keyboard that is already making noise, this keyboard won't necessarily be "louder," but more of a different kind of sound that you're not used to. But I got used to it really quickly and this is easily the best keyboard I've ever had. The red backlit keys are great and its really easy on your eyes while in the dark. The media keys are solid and sturdy (not cheap plastic). The lifted keys make this keyboard really simple to keep clean - there is literally nowhere for dirt get stuck. The wrist pad feels great and its at a perfect angle. It's not very easy to tell from the pictures but the red textured keys are bent inward towards the S, so they hold your fingers within the WASD keys. It feels a bit odd at first but its really useful for quickly finding the keys and knowing you are pressing the correct ones. I like to rest my thumbs on the space bar and this space bar is really sensitive and sometimes I find myself accidentally pressing it without meaning to. But the more I use it the less it happens. Overall, its definitely worth the money.

Great Keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall just an awesome keyboard. Fun to type on and great for gaming such as league of legends and counterstrike. The only negatives are that when lit the red on the number keys are faded slightly. Also this keyboard is very easy to mistype with. It will take some time to get used to the keyboard and not making a lot of mistakes, but I have only had it for maybe a month and I am fully used to the feel of the keys and the keyboard. Overall, this keyboard is very expensive but really completes my pc setup

Incredible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never thought in my life that I would be writing a review about a keyboard and this is definitely the first time I will because the Corsair K70 Mechanical keyboard. I'm a heavy and fast typer and I've never been stuck with a keyboard that ever worked for me until I picked this guy up. I've never enjoyed the sound and feedback it gives me every time I type. As an IT Manager, I email, script, SQL, and code a LOT! This keyboard definitely hit the spot and provided a better typing experience that I'm typing much faster and less error. I've also gotten rid of my Logitech G510s as it had too many keys that 80% of it I won't be using. I also enjoy the added keys and key remover for the WASD and 1-6 to be actuated and red with a nice texture to easily find during an intense gaming session. I chose the MX Cherry due to the fact it's quieter for a mechanical keyboard and it doesn't require a LOT of pressure for the keys to be pressed and the true Anit-Ghosting. It also helps with my gaming needs as well in occasion I play some FPS. This keyboard is definitely a need now moving forward. I bought my System Admin the Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2014 and his keyboard is much louder than this although a great keyboard as well but $10 more. I will purchase this again and more likely for home.
