    For the gamers

Gr8 product for gamers...just red backlight version available even though Corsair make a blue version. Red version acceptable and has switch to adjust brightness. Build quality second to none. Red switches, but blues and browns are available from other sourses. You need to test the feel and sound before buying. Great for general typing too!!! Takes some time to get use to for normal emails but after that you can't live without it.

    Great mechanical keyboard

Great gaming keyboard. Love the feedback, keys are buttery smooth. Feels like I can type faster, and more accurately. Love the textured key caps, makes finding them during gaming much easier (one of the reasons I bought it). The reactive typing feature is neat, and the ability to only light up specific keys is WONDERFUL! I use that feature much more than I thought I would. I tried out a Black Widow at the store before I bought this one, and the excessive clicking and pressure wasn't my thing. These keys are very smooth, and if they were any noisier I wouldn't like it. The media keys are hard to get to, but I LOVE the volume wheel! The quality of the keyboard is nice, very heavy and sturdy. Matches my Corsair 350D very well! As for cons, as I said it is a bit on the noisy side. I would love to have seen a fat space bar like on the Steelseries Apex, and a row of macro keys wouldn't have hurt either. Also, it only has red LEDs, which you can't change like other keyboards. There is a blue LED version but it seems more difficult to track down, and I don't think it's available in black, only silver, which wouldn't have matched my gear anyway. A USB 3.0 port would have been nice as well. No software for customization is another downside, but that also makes it easier/faster to install/move. All in all, I'm happy with it, it's a much better keyboard than anything else I've used to date.

    Great Keyboard

I have had this keyboard for about a month now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It has great switches for gaming, really easy to press and makes a nice audible clicking sound when keys are pressed. Backlighting is really bright, especially compared to other gaming keyboards I have had. The design of the keyboard is sleek, sturdy, and well built. Also the USB port on the back is useful for things like flash drives.

Had a black widow ultimate that i bought on september 18th and the keyus were already starting to double tap and triple tap. Making 2 and 3 letters every time you hit the key. Returned that keyboard and chose this one. Keys feel solid and are backlit in red. You can find the RGB and have them in multiple colors but my theme is black and red for my custom PC. Doesnt come with any software so its just plug play. Has a USB passthrough so my logitech headset works both with sound and microphone. Overall i would buy another corsair keyboard just due to the fact that quality of quantity is what this company strives for rather than making a cheap product.

Excellent keyboard. Has a brushed aluminum body with durable keys. Has the infamous cherry MX red switches to make it amazing for gaming as well as typing. This thing is built like a tank. Red backlight that has 3 different brightness levels. USB passthrough on the back. Detachable wrist rest. Two year warranty. Couldn't be happier with my purchase besides the price, but this should last me at least a few years.

After a less than perfect experience with the Logitech G-710+ (loose keycaps) I traded for a Corsair Vengeance K-70, and boy oh boy am I glad I did. The Corsair is a better keyboard in all respects. I have also used two different Razr keyboards and cannot recommend them, especially now that I have owned and used the K70 for a little while now. This keyboard really does stand above the others in my opinion. DESIGN: this keyboard is gorgeous. the brushed aluminum backplate (not plastic) is simple and beautiful. The build quality is top notch. The features are just what I need (I have no need for programmable keys, as all of my macros are in game). Attention to detail is excellent - from the metal knurled volume wheel, to the tasteful backlighting, to the overall solid build quality - this keyboard is hands down the best I have used at any price. The extra "ergonomic" keycap kit is a really nice touch and has improved my gameplay due to immediate sensory input without having to look. USE: The Cherry MX-Red switches provide an excellent feel for gaming and for typing. The solid construction makes for a very satisfying experience. I LOVE using this keyboard - the sensory experience (feel and sound) is very satisfying. It is a little noisier than a "bubble cap" keyboard, but I think it sounds really nice. Not as noisy as a MX-Blue or brown keyboard. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Current favorite keyboard. I tried this and the new razer keyboard but ended up keeping the Cosair K70. It just felt better to use/game on than the razer. If you would like to make the keyboard more silent try out rubber o-rings.

I must say I was skeptical in thinking a $100 was necessary for gaming. And I will say I still am, but man this thing is nice! You can just feel the quality when compared to cheaper keyboards. Although it won't make you better, the was last for a long time!

    Finally found the RIGHT keyboard

I had been searching for a keyboard not only for gaming but for typing as well. I had a Logitech G510s but the buttons were too close together and you had to hit them really hard. Returned that one for the Razor Deathstalker. Buttons also just didn't work out. So I turned to the k70. Perfect Buttons. Smooth, Enough space in between so you don't accidentally hit another key. Some of the keys you can change to the textured keys that come with it making gaming easier. Slopped edge on the 1 & 6 and the WASD keys so you know which one's you're pressing. The price is high but I was willing to pay it for a keyboard I would actually enjoy using. The only thing I don't like about it is the price and the cord. The cord is a little bulky but it's something I can get passed. Another con is no Symbols on the 1,2,3,4,5,6 textured keys. It's something that can be dealt with. If it bugs me enough I'll just change the keys back to the original ones.

Excellent keyboard; works on Mac Air

My teen son considered many keyboards for gaming - mostly Minecraft. We shied away from the Razr BlackWidow due to noisy keys - very clackity. He also considered the steel series but we couldn't' find any to store test. His primary choice was the Logitech G710+ but they were sold out. I bought him the Corsair Vengence and he loves it. It is slightly noisier than the Logitech but it is not annoying for him or parents (he plays in the same living area as the TV and kitchen). The keyboard appears to be well built with a solid feel. It is a similar weight as the Logitech and Black Widow due to 1) it doesn't have macro keys so its narrower and 2) a simple, clean, minimalist design. The factory backlighting is a red glow underneath the keys and highlighted lettering and symbols on the keycap. It is a consistent color and apparently we can change colors for different keys but we haven't attempted that yet. The keycaps are easily replaced and customized with included 'redcaps'. The connecting cable splits into twin USB connectors. I haven't figured out why yet. Set up for the Mac Air laptop was plug and play. Comes with two year factory warranty, too - better than other brands. He has used it for one day and he is thrilled with the performance. We strongly recommend this product.

this keyboard is amazing.(i'm typing on it right now) the sound is amazing i love a keyboard with a nice sound while i am typing. the aluminum that this thing is made of gives a really nice durable feel. the lights are also awesome. you can customize which keys are lit up and which ones are dim. for gamers this is a must. i like this way more then the razer keyboard. it just feels like it will last a lot longer.

    Solid Keyboard for gamers

I love the cheery red or the mechanical keyboards. I wanted one the day I used them for the first time. I went to bestbuy and there it was. I am happy with the purchase. Except about 4 months of use, the back cable went bad and I had to hold to to one side. I did not think best buy would do anything for me. I went it to get another one, I asked one of the people at the geek squad counter and he happily told me he would give me a replacement. So the bad review went great. I have it this one for about 3 months now. Let us see how it goes this time.

Great keyboard for gaming but also very comfortable if you do a lot of typing. The keys are crisp and responsive with satisfying feedback. The ability to change whether a key is illuminated or not is great for when I play games, and the contoured WASD and 1-6 keys really help to keep your fingers on the keys when playing. I have large hands and chunky fingers, but the space between the keys is perfect and I don't find myself hitting two keys at once, which I did with my previous keyboard. I have only one minor complaint, and that is that you can't change the color of the LEDs from red. Not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination, just a nice idea for any future versions of this great mechanical-key keyboard.

Corsair has made another amazing keyboard, I had bought and tried the razer blackwidow ultimate keyboard as I was looking for a mechanical keyboard for my pc. The razer software that comes preloaded on the keyboard will crash your computer if you are using a gaming mouse such as a KONE PURE. So I was disappointed that I couldn't use it and looked for other options hence why I chose Corsair! I plugged it in and it lit up and went to work! A lot of my gaming buddies recommend corsair over other gaming products simply because its not about the name brand but the keyboard itself! I love it and plan on looking for other Corsair products to finish my pc building.

I bought this to replace my aging g15 logitech which served me well for 4 years. And it was just time to move on to something different. And this keyboard foots the bill perfectly. Backlight keys are perfect and the mechanical keys are really great, however, a bit sensitive when typing. The ability to change the back lighting to just the keys i used for gaming is pretty awesome. Ive never been a real big fan of corsair products but I now understand the appeal of their gaming products. All in all an excellent product.

Bought it to replace the OEM keyboard for my Asus system which seemed too lightweight and the keys seemed to be too close together also. As I'm typing this I realize i'm making less mistakes than normal. The borders on the optional gaming keys help me keep my eyes on the screen instead of wondering where my fingers are.

Waited too long to buy a new keyboard

So last summer I bought my first gaming PC from ibuypower, and I skimped out on buying a keyboard and mouse right away, mostly because they are so easy to replace later. I got some gift cards to Best Buy for Christmas and picked up this Corsair keyboard and man I have been missing out, this blows away the free keyboard. Just no contest between the two and I am having fun just typing away here. Feels like a high quality keyboard too. The old keyboard was meant to be a temporary keyboard and I simply went way too long and didn't know till today what I have been missing.
