The black is easily scratched and to top it off it lets the rgb through when that happens. The black needs to be made from pure black plastic. A good mouse from a performance perspective, though. I just wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with ocd. You spend $2000 on a gaming set up and the next day your fingernail is able to scratch the thing supposedly able to handle the most abuse.

The Corsair M55 was bought to complement an all white set up more than anything else. What I didnt know was how good of a mouse this was for the price when it came to tactile feedback, sensitivity and hot key placement. It fit perfectly well with my "Medium" glove sized hands, build quality,and figment of all parts seemed good! As a side note, the RGB was not overbearing as well, like how other mouses can get. Will buy another Corsair product in the future. It also matches well with other platinum products in their line up.

It has been a great mouse. I love the feel of it but many are reporting issues with the left click not being as responsive as it should be. My mouse starting failing about a year after purchase. I wish it was just mine but looking at Corsair's forums many people are having this issue which appears to be hardware based.

I am very happy with the way the mouse works and feels. The only thing that would have been nice is if I had gotten a wireless version

Previously i was using a Steel gaming mouse but the pads on the sides kept coming off so i made the switch to corsair as a number of my peripherals are corsair. I like the mouse, but since covid, i have been working from home. I picked this mouse up in April and with only 5 months of user it is already showing wear. Granted that with the pandemic i am using this mouse for both work and gaming so it is getting more then your average use. Still it would have been nice if they opted for better quality materials. The scroll wheel is also starting to rotate without moving the page or scrolling through items in games. I looked into the issue and found that it is the rubber band that surrounds the plastic wheel. The band is sliding over the wheel with out rotating it. A quick search online reveals that this is not an uncommon problem with this model. Cons: Plastic quality not a lot of weight options Scroll wheel quality For newer models i would hope for: Better weight options Better texture on the scroll wheel/better quality scroll wheel better quality plastic

This mouse is amazing tactile very responsive the rgb isn't to much and the side buttons enhance game play in almost any game.

I loved this mouse for about 5-6 months. Then double click issues started to creep up. Seems these switches just don't last. RMA process requires you to pay your own shipping. Avoiding Corsair from now on or maybe the BB additional coverage would be worth it on a mouse in the future. It's a shame because I have a hard time finding mice that feel good in my hand. Still using it, but some days I can't even close browser tabs without closing 2 or 3 when I click. Opening any file or folder I try to drag. Managing inventories in games is a nightmare when this is acting up. Longer I sit at the PC using it the worse it gets, seems to recover a little overnight or days of no use. If you are looking for quality and consistency, Corsair doesn't seem to be the brand for it. :( Friend has the same issue with his.

I bought this mouse on sale, and for the price I paid it feels much better than I thought it would. I personally love how my hand fits over the mouse. I can game for hours without my hand cramping. The mouse is also very receptive and seems to be able to accurately track fast movements for fps or MOBA games. Haven't had an issue yet. Also, it looks very sleek
