Looks & feels great
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse both looks and feels great while playing. The buttons on the side provide increased functionality as you can bind them to different actions with the iCue app (i.e. keyboard input, macro, etc.). Since the mouse has a built in gyroscope, you can also bind actions to the tilt of the mouse, which I found very fun to mess around with! The DPI buttons on the mouse allow for quick changing of the sensitivity, and the "sniper" button on the side of the mouse temporarily decreases the DPI of the mouse to 400 (unless you change it) while you hold it down, which allows for accuracy when you need it. I never really found myself using the tuning functionality of the mouse, I'm sure you can use them for something but I put the weights in and forgot about them. Overall it’s a great mouse!

Nice mouse, install and set up is a mess
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mouse itself feels solid, durable and high quality. That being said, this mouse is labeled as for the control freak, and I would say that is without a doubt who it is geared for. I didn’t mind the overall weight of the mouse without any of the extra weights installed. But I then installed them all to see what I thought. At that point I did feel it was a bit heavy and in the end I settled for 1 extra weight installed. Its kind of fun to be able to customize that aspect, but to be honest the differences in weight are not huge so I personally wouldn’t pay for that feature in the future. The extra buttons are nice and the placement doesn’t feel too awkward. I was a little concerned that I might be prone to accidental button presses, but I haven’t had that happen to me yet. I play a lot of games, but I’m not too into FPS so I did tweek them a bit from what the designer’s intent for the buttons were. Not a big deal but I can’t speak to how well the aiming button really helps in those types of games. My biggest complaint is the software. Whenever you have a mouse with more than two buttons and a wheel, the software becomes an essential part of the mouse. After all, you can’t use any of the other buttons of features without the software. Here, Corsair really messed things up. The software itself is bloated and irritating. I personally hate having to have program with so many bells and whistles when I just want to set up my mouse then forget about it. I also hate that if I don’t use all the same brand with my peripherals, then I have an army of programs loading up when my computer does just to run a little bit of hardware. An even bigger problem is that the software that they lead you to isn’t the right one. Now where in the documentation does it say you need to load software (even though the most casual gamer knows you’ll need it). I naively assumed that meant that when I plugged it in it would direct me to the download (its happened before with other hardware). Unfortunately, no. So instead, I went to Corsair’s site and searched for downloads for this model. It leads me to the download for icue 3.3(something or other). I downloaded and installed only to have the program not find the mouse. I tried to check for updates and low and behold there was one. I did the update and now 15+ minutes into the install and it still doesn’t see my mouse. I google a bit and find a FAQ page about ique and apparently version 3 and version 4 are completely different and support completely different hardware. Also it won’t update between the versions because they don’t support the same hardware. It turns out this mouse only works with version 4, even though the support page says to download version 3. I uninstall version 3, track down version 4 and get it installed. Finally, the mouse works after 20+ minutes trying to install. That type of install time and mistakes just aren’t acceptable. But now you know. If icue can’t find the mouse, uninstall and download the different version of the software. (Really they should have just named it something different rather than having 2 versions that can’t support the same hardware). Software is so integral that they lose a star for those issues, but once its up and running it works well, so only 1 star. Now that its up and running I do like the mouse a lot, but the install process is unacceptable and the tweaks are a bit obsessive and not worth paying for over another model without the extra weights or obsessive customization options. However, if the weight of the mouse is something that has always bugged you about other options you've tried, this might be the perfect mouse for you.

Great mouse scummy store
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mouse is great, but I won't be purchasing from best buy until they reverse their opportunistic and scummy decision to put the CHANCE to purchase GPUs behind a paywall service that offers literally nothing else. Disgusting money grab that I will not support with future purchases that I can easily make elsewhere!

Another fantastic Corsair product!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another fine addition to the Corsair eco-system! LED lighting is directly tied into the iCue application so it can be lighting-themed right along with your keyboard and anything else controlled by Corsair's iCue app. Mouse tracks smoothly and has a great high resolution sensor (the likes of which I'll likely never take full advantage of). Cord has a braided cover to protect it. Although the most recent trends are towards super-lightweight mice, this one gives you 3 weights that you can optionally install to get it a little more heft if that's your preference (personally, I like a little weigh to my mouse!). All in all another great additional to my Corsair setups - my favorite keyboard/mouse/accessory brand!

Great corded gaming mouse for the money
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to get a corded mouse for my gaming laptop since I was using a cordless mouse prior. I didn't think being a casual gamer I would notice a difference but I feel with this corded mouse when I thought the computer was lagging I would say it was most likely the mouse. This mouse is easy to setup and use and it feels great. There are options I haven't tried yet but are excited to try which one is you can setup to tilt the mouse to use that to reload a weapon in game. Also it came with weights so you can adjust which I haven't done that also as I felt the default setup was perfect but going forward I will try and use all the features. For the money this mouse is well worth the price for a corded mouse.

WOW!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair M65 RGB Ultra is an incredible product. The anodized aluminum frame looks great and the contours of the mouse fit nicely in my hand. Includes weights that can be inserted into the base (from 97g-115g) for adjusting the center of gravity and overall weight, giving it a very sturdy feel. Also utilizes a six-axis gyro for accurate tracking - including when relocating your mouse - and can be programmed with tilt gestures for commands within a game. The accuracy is superb and the scroll wheel feels smooth and solid. This is a fantastic mouse and could only be better if it were cordless (which is available for more money). Go get one!

Lived Up to My First Corsair Expectations
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Corsair is a brand well-known for computer gaming peripherals, but this will be my first opportunity to experience what they offer. Specifically, in trying out their M65 RGB Ultra Tunable FPS Gaming Mouse. Firstly, even though this mouse is able to be used straight out of the box (as in 'plug and play'), you will be wanting to install Corsair's iCue software in order to get the most out of your new gaming mouse. And this is where the initial downside happens, in my opinion. Nowhere on the box, or stated in the simple setup/user's guide, does it speak of "needing" to download the software. The iCue 'logo' is there on the box, and found in one sentence in the guide, but anyone unfamiliar with Corsair's gaming echosystem (as I was), would have no idea what iCue is. I, myself, had to go to Corsair's website, search for that specific mouse, then look for and find way down at the bottom, where iCue was mentioned so I could 'Learn More' and be taken to another page where the download was found to install the software. Talk about confusing and laborious. I'm very familiar with how other brands of gaming devices let you know up front about the software that's designed to go along with their products, and where to find it. Most of the time it's a relatively easy, and straightforward, process. Not this time. Which is a bummer. Improvement could most certainly be made there, Corsair. Once you have the iCue software installed on your PC, you are able to customize the mouse's key assignments, lighting effects (color "scenes"), and gestures (including tilt and lift height - which I've no use for but I'm sure other gamers may). You can even create 'profiles' for each of your Corsair gaming devices. On iCue's main dashboard there are "sensor" graphs that displays processor info, etc. So, the software is definitely useful. Now, onto the 'look' of the mouse itself. It's got a certain "machine-like" appearance, which I found kinda cool. There's an aluminum metal 'grate' on the left side - almost looking like an "exhaust port" - and on the backside something similar that lights up. The thumbrest, and right side surface of the mouse, has this wonderful texture; for a pleasant, secure grip. The cord is pliable and a good length, sheathed in this soft woven material, and has a handy wrap-around rubberized 'cord minder' attached. Of particular note is the "Sniper" Button on the lefthand side of the mouse which you can customize, or keybind, with the iCue software. As for how this Corsair gaming mouse performed ... well, it kinda impressed me. The mouse glides across my mousepad, button presses are precise with their corresponding responses on-screen, accurate. There are three weights included, but I've no need of them; the mouse was 'just right' as is, for me at least. The M65 RGB Ultra really is a nicely crafted gaming mouse from Corsair.

Lightweight interesting shape well performing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To say I've owned an excessive number of mice (mouses? meeces? Mice never sounds right in reference to multiple computer meeces and not the animal...) would be an understatement. I've had many from very basic to very gaming oriented. To start, the mouse is well packaged and includes a small number of weights that can be added to the device to get it to the ideal feel that you're aiming for. To be honest, in my opinion these are extraneous and just a selling point that no one uses (and promptly loses). I've had mice with them before and they just feel like a useless accessory, in this case it's no different. I've used mice that are much too heavy, but in this regard, they just feel pointless. In connecting the mouse, it shows up and functions as you'd expect, although I'd like to actually call out the cable and cable sleeve. Most sleeved cables tend to be rigid and hard to use, this one remains soft and moves easily, so it doesnt detract from the motion of the mouse while still protecting the cable. The iCUE software works for managing lighting but it is relatively limited when compared to tools for other similar accessories from other manufacturers, it is also occasionally buggy and difficult to use. The mouse itself has a sleek and open design and looks great, functions well and has great customization options in terms of keybinds and colors. Overall this is a great wired gaming mouse.

Great mouse for the basics and for gaming.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a quiet clicking sound compared to the G3 508 series mouse that I used to have. The scroll wheel feels mechanical and nice. And I like the extra mouse buttons for the light gaming that I do. And it fits my hand comfortably.

Not imressed!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one wasn't bad but for the money I feel like there are better options. The feel of the the mouse itself was nice and fit well into my hand. I customized a few o the buttons and noticed that they didn't load the weapons or items as fast as it should in multiple games. I made sure to try my older mouse to make sure it wasn't an issue with the game, it wasn't. This was a bit of a bummer for me cause I play a lot of fast paced first person shooters and some third person rpgs. These kinds of games need quick functions and I just couldn't do it with this mouse. The weight system was not very good in my opinion. I feel like it always felt off weight or unbalanced not mater what I did. This got annoying after a while. All in all, I don't think this mouse is worth it unless it can be purchased on sale.

Posted .Hi bigshayn87,
Sorry to hear about your experience. In regard to the delay with customized buttons - are these macros or remaps? If they are macros, I would make sure there aren't any delays recorded with them. If you have any questions or need any assistance, we'd be happy to help: support.corsair.com
