However, it is way too "slow" for serious competitive gaming. The mousepad adds at least twice as much resistance to my mouse movements when compared to mouse movements directly on the surface of my desk. I definitely would not label this mousepad as a "gaming" mousepad. On the good side, the quality of the mousepad is top notch. It is very well built and has a very appealing esthetic. The "rubbery" oder is not as bad as other mouse pads that I have used in the past and resides after a couple of days. If you are looking for a mouse pad that you can place a cup or plate on while offering spill protection to your desk then I would highly recommend this mousepad. However, just be aware that this protection will come with a reduction of speed while gaming.

Not bad for the price tho
