You should really measure your desk before you get it because it will take up a lot of space. If you have the space for it, it's great because it's a good place to keep your keyboard and mouse. But it's the space that's the issue. Corsair's Cue lighting system is also really neat with this, especially if you have a matching keyboard, mouse, and case lighting.

Be careful when transporting or porting to a different setup, as I rolled it up a couple of times and learned the hard way that the LED band snaps easily :( now half of my colors are dead

Bending the mousepad a bit too much would indeed affect the RGB band, do be more careful to avoid further issues.

It's not great, it's not terrible, but just okay. Upon taking it out of the box, it is rolled up of course but it's now been about 3 weeks since I've bought it and I still can't get one side to flatten out completely. The lighting effects are cool, but they definitely get much, much dimmer the further you get from the plug. Otherwise, it's pretty okay.
