    I love the surface for using my mouse with this mouse pad and it seems that it will LAST a long time. The only reason I give it 4 stars is although there is a USB cord that comes off it for lighting and for an extra USB port as part of the pad. I find that my mouse cord "hangs" up on the protrusion that houses the cord and USB port as it is in the exact center of the top of the pad. I think that this could be fixed by moving it to one side or the other instead of the center or I would gladly give up the USB port and the lighting to not have my mouse cord do that.
