Best Buy associates didn’t help much - opened my package and part of my ssd is chipped, but appears to be working fine so far. Did not return as this is the second item I’ve received looking like it was run over like a forklift and it wasn’t in stock near me.

I installed the SSD per Sony’s and Corsair’s instructions. PS5 would not recognize the SSD, which prevents formatting. Tried mulipte methods to the fullest extent of factory resetting console. After reading the forums this SSD is known to be defective out of the box. I understand man-made items can be defective from the start, but nonetheless its still frustrating. Do not freak out and think its the console. I tested this on muliple consoles and it is in fact the SSD. I gave it two stars as the proce point is a budget friendly buy for a 2TB SSD. I still like Corsair as a brand just not this particularly product.

I have tried everything cleaning it out, having a fan blow on it… always shuts off about like 3 hours into a gaming session. Never had this issue before.
