Fried Computer - Probably Unlucky

I have used Corsair PSU’s in the past and they have been wonderful. But I purchased this for a new build I’m working on, and once everything was plugged in, checked, etc, I attempted to power on the PC. As soon as I hit the power button, the PSU sparked and smoked. I find it very unlikely this is user error, as I have built PCs in the past and know what I’m doing. I think this is rather an extremely unlucky purchase. Regardless, I can’t recommend this PSU given my experience.

Powered it on and there’s a loud continuous ticking coming from the power supply and the pc won’t even power on fully, it’s like it’s trying to turn over like a car starter. Lights and fans are turning on then back off literally every other second. I hope no other components are damaged. Doing a return and trying a different brand.
