Although last time I used it, I believe you needed to install the software to turn off the RGB lights. It also needs to stay on (the software on laptop). This is kind of not good when your using a laptop as it drains the battery quicker, but if they are LED lights I suppose this isn't a big issue.

I can actually use the extra side keys for more than that but hey, its versatile. Looks really good and feels really good also. I love the layout really well. So far, has kept me gaming for a long time and seems to be really well designed. Corsair never ceases to amaze me and I love their products.

One down fall is that it only lasts about 18 months, with the amount of gaming he does. I always buy the protection plan with all the purchases for my son because he is a bit ruff on things and it is well worth the price. He gets a brand new one when it stops working.
