Faulty Scroll Wheel and issues with iCue

I have purchased 3 of these Corsair Scimitar mice as well as gone through RMA process on 2 of them. I have been using it as my primary gaming mouse since 2016. But there is a constant issue with the scroll wheel and it is not acceptable. I am tired of having to go through the RMA process. The Scroll wheel assembly is just cheap and not of an acceptable quality for the price of the mouse. The mouse wheel will typically stop working as a button and then within a few months you'll start experiencing issues even with basic scrolling. It will catch and not scroll down pages properly. I'm tired of the poor craftsmanship of it. On top of the fact that whenever I restart my computer the iCue software will not recognize the mouse and it will require that I unplug and plug in the USB or the mouse will not properly function based on the saved settings. It is honestly an embarassment. I've gone through trouble shooting with support multiple times and I don't see it as a good option to have to constantly replace the mouse every year or so.

Definitely not a normal problem, fortunately, but seems that with your uses it just keeps popping up. I'd recommend switching over to a different model if you do keep running into the same problems across a few mice of the same model. After years of use & terrible sofeware support from asus, it is really great to have a mouse that has fantastic sofeware & usability. I highly recommend the corsair products.

As a traditional ‘clicker’ of a game, this mouse is great for first time learners. The greatest feature is the ability to slide the button platform as you see fit. My only complaint is that it is a tad too much buttons on the side.

Once you download the program from Corsair, it’s super easy to map out the keys on the mouse. Plus changing the color patter of the lights.
