So this is a really great mouse, the function buttons are in a great place, the scroll wheel is nice and the buttons all have a nice, tactile click to them. The lighting zones are cool, and the fact that you can reprogram pretty much everything on the mouse is nice. You would think I would give this a 5 star review, but Corsair obviously didn't put any effort into this device. About a month after I got the mouse Corsair issued an update that caused it to not function on my computer except in 1 usb port. Not too big of a deal, but the 2.01 update for the mouse that they just released has completly bricked my mouse. I reinstall CUE and nothing changes. I redo the update and I still can't use the function buttons. I plug it into a different computer all together and it just doesn't work right. To make matters worse, Corsair's support system is increadably invasive, wanting your computer build information, a photo of the tag, and the recipt for any problem. And don't try to bypass it with their call center, they just tell you to make a ticket and don't help at all. DO NOT BUY this mouse. If you have to go corsair, find a M65 because those actually work.

I really wanted to like this product. I am a long-time Corsair consumer and currently own many of their products - computer case, case fans, CPU cooler, etc. I even purchased the new Corsair RGB Strafe keyboard to go along with this Scimitar purchase. However, I struggled with this mouse from the first day. First off, the 12 side buttons are NOT pre-programmed, using 1-12 or something similar. It takes several dropdown menu choices for EACH button. Secondly, the side button LED light behind the yellow 'shroud' is bright and took awhile to figure out how to adjust it on the Performance/DPI tab, where you can change the color to anything you want - I went with black to eliminate it altogether. Finally, and most importantly, after all that, 2 days later, the side buttons quit working altogether ... entirely. I tried reinstalling the mouse, reinstalling the Corsair software, a different computer .. all to no avail. It's getting returned after days of headaches. Final rating is a 1 out of 5 due to faulty hardware and/or software. Come on Corsair, it's an MMO mouse. Players buy it for the side buttons. Get it right or stick to your bread-and-butter computer hardware business.

I bought this mouse during Christmas this past year. It feels good in your hand, the buttons are spaced well, the button slider is a nice option compared to other mice and it just feels like it is constructed better. I installed the Corsair Utility to configure the the options, whoa was I disappointed! It's ridiculously confusing, hardly ever saves the color settings, and the button config was exhausting. I could not get all the buttons programmed after about six hours of messing with just the CUE, so I boxed it up and returned it for a Naga Chroma. *Update: I noticed they revamped their Config Utility to CUE 2 (2.10.71) released on 1/16/17. Note that you can still download the original version which I would not recommend. It also looks like they have a Pro version of the mouse now also. Though the new utility is nice I still like the Razer Synapse better, it's so much easier to use. I'll have to wait to try the Pro version before I'd recommend this to a friend, as of right now I still cannot.

Corsair has triumphed again! This mouse is very comfortable and responsive. The software for rgb lighting and configuration is simple to use. I really like the fact that in conjunction with my Strafe Stealth keyboard, the rgb lighting can be synchronized

SAVE YOUR MONEY Bought this mouse at BB not realizing the amount of problems it already had. Threads and pages over at Corsair's web site. Worked fine for about three days before the first "lock up". Unplugged and plugged back in, worked ok. There is never any rhyme or reasoning behind it locking up. AVOID AVOID AVOID Except the latest. Had a firmware update and now the side buttons don't work - AT ALL. Terrible product - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Smooth feel, lots of buttons, can move the thumb buttons closer :)

I really like the beautiful colors! My husband loves the functions.
