It did the job and temps are fine. I have no qualms about using the rest of this, but I will probably continue to use artic 5 in the future.

To be able to get to all the copper and fins on the heatsink I went ahead and took it off of the actual CPU that's melted on the motherboard. If you don't use the thermal paste you will not get the heat transfer that you need. It's worth the eight bucks!!
