Responsive.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keys are very responsive and very crispy. There is roughly a .1 response time which in the real world cannot be noticed. It is roughly .002 plugged in which is obviously better. The screen is fantastic and customizable.

Premium Build and Highly Customizable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There’s so much to love about this keyboard. Not only does it have a very premium look and feel, but the keys are very easy to type on and there’s a ton of customization. If you already have an Elgato stream deck then you’re already familiar with how this helps streamers and gamers. Originally designed to help streamers quickly switch between different screen layouts, different audio and video sources for a dynamic stream, the stream deck was a dedicated set of customizable keys that you can now get a taste of using this keyboard. First thing to note is the premium design. You’re getting your money’s worth with the satisfying feel of the keys, premium looking aluminum, and included extra key caps that are easily replaceable. The keys use Corsair’s PX low profile switches. Advertised at 80 million keystroke lifespan, so you know they’ll last, they’re also super satisfying to type on. I’m also averaging around another 10 wpm with this keyboard, compared to my other keyboard. I was also pleased to know it passed the wife test, who gets annoyed by my clicky mechanical keyboards. I can appreciate how they decided not to do chicklet style key caps that are common with these thin designed keyboards which I think made a difference in how the keys feel. The huge selling point I believe is the sheer number of features and customization you can pull out of this keyboard. Using the stream deck software, you can fully customize the 6 keys along the left to do almost anything you need them to. Whether you want to launch a program, install plugins that allow you to control windows or apps, keystroke macro’s to quickly fill in data. Along with customization of keys, RGB, and hot keys, you can also connect this keyboard to 4 different devices wirelessly using the wireless dongle and Bluetooth. If you need the super high polling rate of 8,000, you can connect wired as well. I recommend taking a few moments to get the keyboard setup and customizations created for the keys. I was a bit disappointed to see this wasn’t done within the iCUE software that corsair has been developing for years. If the intent is to move all customizations into webapp, that’s okay too, but I don’t like having several different programs for the same brand of products. Once your setup you can launch your game and or stream and easily use the custom keys to navigate different setups, screens, and applications. The one thing I’d say I wanted more out of and what will likely grab the attention the most is the small LCD screen. I think it’s really neat how you can upload your own image to the screen, whether you want to grab your streaming channel’s logo, or your favorite wallpaper, you can do so. Most of what I can tell is it’s more for information. It can tell you what mode you’re in, your polling rate, battery life, and other status information. I would have loved to have had a built-in menu that could be controlled by the knob that allows you to adjust settings or select options, but it seems to be more informational. I would also like to see a battery percentage instead of bar. One thing I’m trying to give a chance is the new web-based Corsair Web Hub to customize your keys, lighting, and features for your keyboard. Historically this was taken care of by the iCUE software which has been getting better over time and I had become quite accustomed to. This new browser-based interface can be slow to initialize, especially on wireless, and hasn’t worked seamlessly. I’m also not sure how I should use this alongside the stream deck app. Does one overwrite the other? At one point after messing around with the stream deck app, all of my web hub customizations were erased, or at least, I couldn’t find them and had to re-create them. I believe the intent of the web based interface is to increase compatibility so that all you need is a browser, which most PC’s have, to update your keyboard settings, this I can appreciate, but I’d like to see one integrated app, other than the separate web hub and the Stream Deck apps. In conclusion, I very much like this keyboard. It’s consistent with other wireless offerings from Corsair that offer innovative technology and integration while also allowing the consumer to have options, whether it’s connectivity or customizations, it’s all there and packaged in premium materials and design.

Great Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first gaming keyboard and I couldn't be happier about it. The clicks are a little louder than expected and I wish it could connect to the Corsair Dashboard and not on the online app only.

Versatile Excellence
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair Vanguard Air 99 WL Gaming Keyboard is everything I could ask for and more. I love that it includes keys for Mac and Windows so I can use this device for gaming on my PC or my Mac! I have really enjoyed how quiet this keyboard is as well! Compared to other keyboards in my collection, this one has a very nice mellow sound. Don't let the quieter sound fool you though, these keys are very responsive and feel amazing to type on. The bluetooth connectivity has been very nice, and I have also found the transmitter to work very well. The fact that the wireless transmitter is docked into the keyboard makes taking this with me a breeze. I have been using this keyboard outside of gaming at work, since it travels so well! Everyone compliments the aesthetic, and I catch people trying it out all the time! The battery life has been excellent, I have been using this all week with no need to charge. RBG is on point, it has everything you would expect in per key RGB and it does not disappoint. The on keyboard screen is an excellent touch, and it just adds to the premium feel of this device. For me the volume knob on the keyboard is a must have feature, this one works amazingly! The tap to mute comes in handy for me every day. The only way I would improve this keyboard is by including a wrist rest, however with this being wireless I totally understand the decision to not include one to further drive portability.

Best Keyboard Ever!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair VANGUARD AIR 99 WL Gaming Keyboard is easily one of the most impressive low-profile keyboards I’ve used. From the moment I placed it on my desk, the premium aluminum frame and sleek 99% layout gave it a clean, modern look that instantly upgraded my setup. It strikes the perfect balance between compact design and full functionality, keeping the numpad while saving valuable desk space. What truly stands out is the typing and gaming experience. The OPX low-profile optical switches feel incredibly fast, smooth, and precise, with a satisfying softness thanks to the gasket mount and layered sound dampening. Every keystroke feels refined, responsive, and surprisingly quiet for a performance-focused keyboard. Whether I’m gaming competitively or typing for long hours, it remains consistently comfortable and accurate. The wireless performance is another huge win. With tri-mode connectivity, switching between devices is seamless, and the 8,000Hz hyper-polling makes it feel just as fast as a wired esports board. Battery life has been solid, and the overall stability has been excellent in daily use. The customizable Stream Deck keys are a brilliant addition, making shortcuts, macros, and workflow controls incredibly easy to access. I also love the RGB implementation—bright, crisp, and beautifully diffused through the keycaps. Combined with Corsair’s customization ecosystem, it’s easy to tailor the board to both work and play. Overall, the VANGUARD AIR 99 WL feels like a premium all-in-one keyboard that nails aesthetics, speed, comfort, and versatility. For anyone wanting a top-tier wireless gaming keyboard with a refined low-profile design, this one absolutely delivers.

Fast, Precise, and Highly Customizable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard by Corsair is an incredible addition to any desk setup especially if you have been looking for a reason to finally upgrade. Moving to this low profile optical mechanical model feels like a significant leap forward in both speed and responsiveness compared to the most popular mechanical boards from just a few years ago. One of the most impressive technical specs is the 8,000Hz hyper polling. Essentially it allows the keyboard to communicate with your PC eight times more frequently than standard models which registers your inputs almost instantly. Additionally the "FlashTap" feature has been a standout one for me when it comes to gaming because it prevents directional keys from canceling each other out by prioritizing your most recent press. Right out of the box the aluminum frame and compact 99 key layout give it a modern high end look. It is sleek and space saving but it still keeps the number pad and includes a 1.9 inch full color LCD screen in the corner that displays useful info like battery life and system stats. This sits right next to a multi functional rotary dial that handles much more than just volume. You can actually sync it with the screen to navigate different settings or zoom into details while you are working. The typing experience is also surprisingly quiet for a mechanical board. Thanks to the internal sound dampening foam and gasket mounted design the keys have a softer and more satisfying "thocky" sound rather than a loud metallic clatter. One of the most practical parts of this keyboard is the triple mode connectivity using Slipstream v2 wireless, Bluetooth, or a wired USB connection. Having the hyper fast wireless for gaming is great but I find myself using the Bluetooth option just as often for switching over to my laptop. Another standout is the integration with the Elgato Stream Deck ecosystem. There are six dedicated "SD keys" on the left side that you can program for everything from in game macros to professional shortcuts like starting a Teams call or adjusting your mic levels. It even comes with a dedicated set of Mac keycaps and secondary media keys which makes it incredibly easy to swap things around if you use it for both work and gaming. The keyboard also includes customizable lighting that adds a premium feel without being distracting. Since the keycaps are PBT double shot they are built to withstand heavy use without wearing down or getting that oily shine over time. Maintenance is incredibly easy since the build quality is durable and I appreciate that the "Web Hub" allows for quick adjustments to lighting and macros without the need to install heavy software on every device. Overall, this keyboard is a fantastic choice for anyone who needs that high performance and bridges the gap between a competitive gaming setup and a professional workstation. It delivers incredible speed through the pre lubricated OPX optical switches and advanced customization through the built in screen and dial all while maintaining a refined look that belongs on any modern desk. This keyboard is definitely a top tier option for those who want serious performance and the full utility of a number pad in a much more efficient footprint.

Quiet and Great for Gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard package comes with the keyboard, 6 Stream Deck Studio Control icon keycap set, MAC keycap set, USB-C to A adapter, and a braided USB-A to USB-C cable for charging or making this a wired keyboard. There are three ways to connect this keyboard to your computer: Bluetooth, wireless and wired. This keyboard has a low profile and is very well made. There are rubber feet on the bottom. The pop out feet have two levels so you are able to tilt it just right to make an incline for your wrists to be more comfortable. There is even a small display screen on the keyboard. Just push the dial and it gives all kinds of information for your keyboard. I think this might come in very handy when you are first using the keyboard. You are able to use this right out of the box, but I would recommend setting up macros, etc and adjusting things more to your liking, so you can get right into your games and start saving some game profiles to really get the best out of this keyboard. You are able to customize the keyboard with the web based CORSAIR Web Hub. You are able to change lighting effects and save up to 5 different effects. Remap your keys and assign new functions for better gaming. You can also change what the rotary dial does. You can have the dial control the volume, brightness of your screen and a few other things that might make your gaming a bit faster and more to your liking. You can even set up macros to help streamline how you play some of your games. I really recommend this keyboard for its quality, adjustability and quietness. I like the low profile, now that I am used to it. It is just perfect for me and my gaming needs.

Very slick and cutting edge keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keyboard is a keyboard right? So many options and choices from so many manufacturers that it's really a PC lovers market in terms of choosing which keyboard to rock. Now, there are lots of great options out there, no doubt, so seeing another choice is no surprise. Also no surprise that this option from Corsair is quite the banger. I'll admit, I'm quite the Corsair fanboy as quite a few of my PC components are from Corsair but that's for good reason. They make great components and this keyboard is no different. I've been looking to update my keyboard for awhile now and wireless was one of the big steps I wanted to take. This keyboard, first off, looks great. Yes it has the fancy RGB goodness that we all come to expect and love but it's done pleasantly and not gaudy or over the top. The LCD screen is also a nice touch as well in terms of aesthetics. Keycaps have a wonderful clack sound to them that I like and are quite responsive as one would expect. All the "normal" keys and functions are present however in just a tiny(er) form factor as noted by the 99 designation. There are 6 SD preset keys which can be programmed to work in tandem with your Elgato stream deck.

gotta plug it in to reap the rewards
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is really good for gaming. The keys are super low profile and ultra responsive. They have a low sound footprint, which is perfect for quiet late-night sessions where sound can be obtrusive. The stream deck side keys are really useful for a multitude of purposes and offer a ton of customization for me to quickly switch between tasks or open programs. It also has the ability to switch between Mac and PC which is nice in this day and age when people tend to have both. All in all I really like this keyboard BUT...If you're not gaming on this thing, it gets obnoxious. the keys are SO low profile that unless this is your typical style of keyboard, you will spend more time correcting mistypes than you will actually typing anything due to the incredibly easy ability for your fingers to slip off keys to their neighbors. You also have to remember that in order for the stream deck keys to work at all the keyboard needs to be used wired. it will not work wirelessly (at least not in my experience nothing I did allowed me to use those keys unless the keyboard was used in a wired compacity). The screen it comes with does offer some useful info but overall seems like a bit of a wasted piece of flash that doesn't give much in the way of customization. Having a wheel that you can change the volume with is great. Overall, I think this keyboard is ok. I'm not so sure low profile is the way for me though. as I can't seem to figure out how to type on this thing without flying all over the place on this thing. And what's the point of being wireless if half the draw is the stream deck capabilities that don't work unless its plugged in? I'd only recommend this to people who already use Lo pro keycap keyboards, and who dont mind plugging in to get all the benefits.
