You might get away with DDR4 being cheaper (not for long though), however, if on z690 with DDR5 support - do not hesitate.

Overclockability wasn’t too great. 6200 was the highest I could get and this was tested on 4 different cpus. The i3 12100f got 6200, 12900k and 12700f got to 6000 and the 13600kf couldn’t get past 5600 at all. Pray your cpu has a strong ddr5 memory controller if planning to overclock.
