Great memory upgrade from 2666 ram

However one 2 pack was SK/Hynix Ram and the other 2 pack was Micron Ram with the same identical Corsair part numbers. (I have to run Quad Channel memory, hence 4 sticks). It does work though on my Asus X-399A MB at PC4-28800 / 3600 speed with a AMD 1900X 8 core-16 thread CPU.

XMP compatible on B550 platform with 5600X

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.On a MSI B550 Gaming Plus with a 5600X I could enable XMP without too much trouble after updating BIOS with the motherboard's flashback feature. Doing almost any manual overclocking on this particular set of memory hasn't been the smoothest of affairs (as should be expected from a bin with quite loose subtimings). I've only been able to bring down the primary timings to 18-20-20-42 on my kit (and that's without messing with any of the hidden timings in memory OC settings) Your mileage will vary, but if you want to set and forget with XMP, this will likely do the job just fine. You could arguably skip this set of memory and get something cheaper (and is more tweakable, i.e. Crucial's Ballistix line), or find something at a similar price with tighter default subtimings.

It's so much faster now. I can have multiple things going and it doesn't slow down as much. I'm very happy that I installed it myself, although I did have to take it out and put it back in a few times due to my incompetence haha.
