iCUE issues misleading speed

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great lighting, would be nice if you could control it. the iCUE software Corshair uses is one of the worst software from all these brands. it won't even download to my PC. also the 6000mhz speed is quite misleading. that's the max overclock speed. by default it will be at 4800mhz.

6000MHz is not the max overclock speed, it's the XMP setting for the kit that would be done with the push of a button within BIOS. As far as issues regarding iCue you've had, please contact our team directly on our site via ticket for assistance.

The RGB looks okay, but is only operable through Corsair iCUE. The price is rather prohibitive at the moment (Apr 2024) at 120-125 dollars for just two sticks, but at 16GB per stick this is probably a set-and-forget kind of buy. Overkill, but if you want to avoid PC maintenance or upgrades by all means go for it.

Installing was difficult because it’s larger than standard ram.
