    My go-to headphones now

Over the years I have had a TON of the over-the-ear headphones & earbuds too. I have had everything from cheap $50 pairs all the way up to multi $100 pairs. I had my perfect set that had ANC that you one ear rotated the ANC and the other ear was for the volume. I loved them dearly, but they got wet and they went out :( Fitment Getting to test & have these I find myself constantly reaching for them instead of my earbuds (which hurt my ears after extended usage) and I don't have any ear or head fatigue wearing these. They are lightweight, adjustable, and fit very nicely. Noise Cancelling The noise cancelling is great. It cuts out whatever I am doing (typing away on my loud mechanical work keyboard, cleaning our cars, pressure washing the house or the deck, etc) but also allows me to easily go back to hearing what is around me when my significant other needs to tell me something. I wish it was a little easier to know in what mode it was in (much like my prior set with it's rotating ear piece) and also the different mode switching feels a little clunky at first but I am getting used to both. Sound Quality The sound quality of these is really good. I love how they pack a punch & don't sound flat. Whether I am listening to a Podcast, or a YouTube video, or even music, these are adaptable and make the most of their price point. Conclusion With Christmas coming up and my kids needing new headsets for their various gaming platforms I am going to be looking at the Corsair to see if it will fit their needs like they have mine. I think they will. They are 20 years old now and so not at home full time and so when they are in town for Thanksgiving I am going to have them try them out and tell me what they think. If they fit the bill then I'll be going to Best Buy to pick up two pairs and getting them for them for Christmas. Anyway, in conclusion, should you get these? I think my review lays out how I feel about them, and so I think I have made that plain and clear: yes, absolutely. These are GREAT!

Im coming from a $99 xbox headset and didn’t really think it could really get any better but man was I wrong. This thing is definitely worth the money. First game I fired up I was hearing things I’ve never heard before, no joke! Make sure you do the custom audio profile in icue, its no gimmick it actually works. Its like doing a hearing test but the audio improved tremendously after that.

Sound quality is amazing and the nosie cancelling is great. These are the most immersive headphones I've ever had as I cannot hear anything other than my game with these on. Absolutely love these!

I expected better after the Virtuoso XT

I got this headset as a replacement for my (very comfortable) Virtuoso XT headset I've been using for awhile. One of the ear pads had completely split in half, all the way around - almost impressive in the failure really. Anyway, I assumed this set would be a good replacement and probably an upgrade. IN some ways it is, in others it definitely isn't. First tip for anyone buying - get your phone out and head to the QR code at the bottom of the box. If you don't, you're probably not going to understand the (for me anyway) not intuitive controls. I thought I had it all figured out without doing so and that just led to frustration (note my lack of reading the manual is not part of the score...). Obvious thing: hooking up the mic - check (I can hook it up on either side, great!); mute button is right there on the mic - check; looks like a power button - check; what the insert-expletive-here are these buttons and why can't I do anything with the volume?! Cue the need for the manual. Connectivity-wise I didn't have any issues, both for my PC and iPhone. The sound is nice and clear, but I'm not aware of any mechanism to mess with the equalizer settings. Set comes with a very nice carrying case, and nice charging/wired connection cable. In Discord, my friends said there no discernable difference in mic quality from my XT set. Yes it does LED flashy things, as I've said before I don't acquire things for that. Onto the negatives: I don't know what it is about the iCue software, which I have had installed for a LONG time at this point, but it's just outright elusive on my Windows 11 machine. It's there, then I update it, then it's gone. Maybe it will show up randomnly again, who knows! I still don't know if I updated the firmware on these things, but I'd like to try! This headset is just not comfortable, which is pretty much all that matters outside of connectivity. They feel heavy, and the bar on top comes off as very unforgiving so far. The ear pads feel PLENTY large enough even to the point of feeling a little comical, and I have a pretty big head. It will take some adjusting to get the set to just sit 'right' on your head, and you're probably going to end up with what feels like a bruised melon after hours of gameplay. I really don't recall if my XT pair felt this way when I first got them, but I doubt it. I guess the one benefit over the XTs is that the ear pads don't get AS sweaty.

      Hello,

Please remember to take a break after every 1 hour of using the headset to avoid fatigue, it may still take a bit for the headset to break in but should be pretty comfortable after not long.

    Great headset

Overall, this is a great headset if you need something that can listen to two different devices. However, the major limiting factor is that you have to use ICUE 5. It is annoying that you can't use 4 with it, as the audio drivers that come with version 5 are still broken despite being out for a few years now.

would not recommend any Corsair products to anyone I like. after spending over $700 on a variety of components they all fail in the same way and eventually just stop working right after their warranty is up. If the mic comes loose while your using it the whole headset just shuts down, same with any of the usb connections. If you need to charge your mouse while you play this can be catastrophic and the same will happen with the keyboard! Coupled with the eventuality of the battery not holding a charge after 1 year of use the long term value just isnt there. Ive had $50 headsets last longer.
