great set of headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i upgraded from the original chroma kraken's, this is a big upgrade over those headphones. Better sound quality, better microphone, better build quality. The only thing I would change is the software support through ICUE. You only can change the mic volume and headset volume, i wish you could change the mic sensitivity or adjust the amount noise detection going into the mic. Still these are awesome headphones and i would highly recommend.

Great overall headset.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these to replace my Astro headset that kept acting up and the difference is night and day. The sound quality is really decent. The overall build quality is also awesome. They are comfortable enough to keep on for more than an hour. Being wireless I can get up without having to make the effort of taking them off. And the range on them is surprising. I can walk all the way to my kitchen with them and still have audio coming through.

Better headset, at an unbeatable price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from Astros to Razer to the Corsair, and I could not be any happier. Quality of sound is outstanding with adjustable volume right on the side of the headset. Noise canceling as well. The placement for the muting option for the mic is so convenient and easy to use. The adjustable lighting options is an added luxury that I love! The headset itself can adjust to size and the muffs cuff your ears perfectly. I definitely recommend these!

Very light and comfortable with very good audio.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very light and comfortable with very good audio. It is nice to see the mic either red when muted or green when it is live. That can save you when you are task saturated....High quality construction and removable mic along with short recharge time make this a great value.

More money doesn't mean better made
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say the pros of the headset first. Battery life is great. Comfortable and not very heavy compared to other headsets. Sounded amazing.....for a month. Now the cons. Every time a game has large explosions or anything with heavy bass, the headset emits this excruciating crackling sound. Battery life while going wireless was long lasting but the wireless connection was below par and I usually just had to leave them connected in. These are expensive and I feel like I've wasted my money.

||Posted . Like the detachable speaker wand. Reasonable price compared to much more expensive headset

Fine, but not worth $200+
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Excellent build quality--seriously maybe the best I've seen in a gaming focused headset Easy to set up--a lot of these wireless headsets have complicated dongles or hardware, this was literally running 10 seconds after plugging it in. Looks nice--not trivial in my opinion--so many gaming headsets just look cheap and ridiculous. Corsair has pretty good control software that is easy to set up--I downloaded it for these headsets but also have a mouse and keyboard by Corsair and it automatically added everything in one place and worked smoothly. Cons: While the build quality is good, the design does NOT feel like it was thought through. The mic is removable but not reversable. What if you want to use it on the other side? That's important for a lot of people including myself because my PC is on my right, if you have it plugged in, it will have the cable going across your keyboard. The charger cable juts WAY out, and you will constantly here the loud, ridged cable scraping across the headset. If you have your pc on your right, unless I've missed it, there's no way to change the output LR orientation, which means with surround it's essentially impossible to use on the right side. The sound quality is...fine. It's truly not bad but I've heard infinitely better sound outputs. My last headset broke a week or so ago, and I've been literally using generic phone earbuds for a while and I expected to have my mind blown--it was a mild improvement experience wise. This is with Dolby Atmos being enabled as well. Also, without tweaking the sound mixing, the range is actually quite annoying, it is very high, to a point that it actually was audibly uncomfortable in loud scenes. Overall, the sound quality is good, but it just sounds underpowered. There's no richness, you can hear the range quite well to be honest, but there's no bass (yes I know that's overpowering in a lot of headsets, but you need some), and it all sounds almost tinny just due to the lack of any richness. The surround in this was actually annoying. I tried it in a couple of games and rotated where there was a distinct sound on one side. You could audibly hear it switching from one side to another with a VERY rough and noticeable switch with no transition, merging or fading. It genuinely hindered the atmosphere instead of helping it. Overall, looks and feels great. Decent audio but from an audio quality perspective honestly this is probably most disappointing $100+ headset I've tried yet. The surround sound feels gimmicky and detrimental, and calling this 7.1 (I have a real 7.1 sound system) is borderline insulting.

Posted .Hi,
To add the mic option to both sides would add that much more in price and design costs which in turn would pass the costs on to the customer. Hope that explains that design choice.

One of the best headsets I have ever owned.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had it for a single day and it's miles beyond the other headset I paid the same price for. I kind of got it on a whim, cause there wasn't many others in the store, but exceeded expectations and blew my old headset out of the water. Do not fall into the Logitech trap, the G Pro X Wireless honestly sucks compared to this. Much better mic quality, even without some kind of Blue Voice thing to mess with. I never managed to make that microphone sound good, when this one is amazing out of the box. Had to mess with the EQ settings only a little to make the audio to my liking, unlike the other one I had struggled for 2 years to find any good presets, or settings I liked. I'm glad I replaced it with this, and will never want any other headset. Please, keep this in production Corsair, so the people can have a solid gaming headset. Please, if you're looking for a headset that's wireless, and around this price point, this is definitely the one you should be getting. Bar none.

Corsair Virtuso - so far so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son gives these 4 out of 5 stars. Good for the price. Headband could be more comfortable - a bit more cushiony on the top. Software that comes with it could be improved. No way to tell battery level other than High/Med/Low. Percentage would be nice. Need to go to higher up model to have bluetooth. SE model does not have bluetooth - just XT version. Sound quality good. Mic quality for detachable mic is excellent.

Really great sound
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old, old Corsair headset broke down after having it for a long time and it was time for a new one so I decided on the best they had. Better sound and longer range than my old Void Pros. At first I had connectivity issues with them, but after updating my motherboard's BIOS and doing a repair install of USB drivers they performed just fine so I have to assume it was on my end. Only flaw is that the bass might be considered weak, but that's more opinion.

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing quality and is lasting a long time, battery life has only dropped by a few minutes, the ear muffs remain undamaged and the sound quality is still great. And this is with frequent use, almost every day. I am very happy with this purchase.

Virtuo-so good
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up after a poor choice of a different headset, I love how I can plug it into an amp/dac and it increases the quality I get. Mic is decent, no one says its amazing or bad, battery life is decent when I do need to use wireless, however I usually use the 3.5mm jack. I didnt like how I cannot mute the mic though when in 3.5mm mode, only wireless or bt but overall its a nice headset and super comfortable

Great headset
||Posted . That was disappointing.

Great headset
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned for almost 2 years now and battery is still good, sound quality is great! Had to tune them though corsair ICU but that is expected for personal tastes. The bushed metal gets dirty fairly easily is probably my only complaint.

Gaming headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are comfortable on my ears but squeeze a little on my head. I can wear them for multiple hours without problems. The build quality seems pretty good and the rgb isn’t too much

My first wireless headset!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely did not like wireless headsets before this purchase! I was expecting a bad latency issue and subpar battery life. Not this headset! The sound is amazing, the mic is even better! The battery lasted me an entire week! And I was able to use it while charging with no issues! I don’t see a point in the rgb on the outside of the earcups but that is so minimal!

Sound and feel amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The build quality is amazing and they fit comfortably for me. The sound is amazing but out of the box bass isn't great but can be fixed with Corsairs Icue software. Overall great for the price.

Good headset, too pricey for what you get
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high expectations of this headset because of the price tag. Where it met expectations: - great sound - great mic. Really like the light indicator of mute. - easy to control Where it fell short - the ear cups are too shallow, and cause discomfort after a while of use - the whole headset is a bit tight...I have an average size head, - the advertised wireless range is no better than the lower priced models with lower advertised range Other - the packaging seems a bit overboard, and would rather have a normal box for $30 lower price tag. I like the headset enough not to return it, but When it’s time to replace it, I will likely look for a different one.
