Customers are saying

Customers admire the VIRTUOSO XT Wireless Gaming Headset for its sound quality, comfortable design, long battery life, and effective Bluetooth functionality. Some customers have noted the headset's weight and that the bass may not appeal to everyone. Others mention the wireless range could be better, the price is a bit high, and the associated software is not great. Overall, the positive features seem to outweigh the negative ones for most users.

They fit really well. They feel nice and sturdy. I feel they are comfortable even after 5 hours of use. And after only haveing them for a few weeks now i have to say what i dont like about them is the battery life. And the charging port is in an odd spot for me and feels weird to have them on while charging. I would still recomnd them on the feel and sound quality alone, the battery life is a minor set back.

    A review for Linux users

Here's a detailed summary of the headphones as used in Linux. Working: - Wired (USB) - Wired (Headphone Plug) - Wireless - Bluetooth - Mic passthrough on mic-button long press. - Mic enable/disable on mic-button short press. - Better EQ Settings (through EasyEffects + Pipewire) - All hardware buttons and volume wheels/rockers. - Basic button feedback (bleeps and bloops to indicate I've pressed a thing) Not Working: - RGB - Mic still turns red when muted, though. - Configurable sleep setting when using wireless. - Advanced Button feedback (in Windows there's an ethereal voice that details what you just instructed the headset to do) - 8 channel mode (The wireless adapter somehow supports 8 audio channels in Windows in addition to stereo) Untested: - Using Bluetooth and the adapter at the same time. Apparently this is possible and the use case is to chat with friends on discord over Bluetooth on your phone while the adapter is hooked into a gaming console. From what I understand, it performs a 50/50 mix at pretty good quality. Caveats (Any OS) : - Wired (USB) is best for audio recording. It's also the most consistent experience. - Wired (3.5mm headset cable) is best for audio listening, depending on your systems DAC. --- This also over-rides the out-of-the-box FPS EQ. Which is awful for music. - Wireless Adapter is pretty darn good, but the sound quality does take a noticeable hit for the mic. Still clear, but notably compressed sounding. - Bluetooth is bluetooth - It supports AAC, AptX, AptX HD and mSBC, and I'm pretty certain only mSBC is used for calls as it is in my Sony WH1000-XM2 headphones. Conclusion: These are ultimately pretty great for me. I don't really care about the features I'm missing because the experience is quite nice regardless. My only criticism is that wireless technologies still have a way to go over a good old fashioned wire. Because of that, it's best to pair what your doing with the best connection method for that media - which can be annoying. I plan to keep this in USB or Wireless Adapter mode most of the time since I have better cans for dedicated music listening. This will be my headset for work (and maybe some play) for the most part.

    Spectacular Wireless Headset All Around

Purchased the SE, XT and normal wireless, no complains on any. Software works for the most part, and iCue EQ works nicely to make music sound real good. Wireless can cut line-of-sight if nothing else in the area is clugging up the 2.4 transmission, and when it does cut out from being too far, it seamlessly reconnects and resumes working immediately. Recorded audio is nothing to rave about. Its as average as a cookie cutter house. Sounds slightly muffled but voice is easily understandable. Def watch some youtube reviews to hear the quality before buying. Id recommend an elgato wave 3 if you want clear voice recording. The battery life is perfect for my use case. Lasts around 5 days if used for around 3 hours a day. Usually have to charge if they are used for more than 10 hours in one sitting. To make it last as long as possible, turn off the RGB. The battery life has not changed from when i originally purchased in 2022. First regular virtuoso wireless from 2020 and SE from 2021 still holds a nice charge even when its been sitting for weeks. Hopefully nothing changes to the next wireless models because they pretty much perfected this realm of gaming headset.

Really good headphones, love the duel channel with Bluetooth allowing me to connect with other devices. Does take a while to fully charge but once charge the battery last for a while. I do wish there was a power on and off button to better conserve battery life instead of what I assume is hibernation mode. All in all I’m happy with the product.

For the price of these headphones. I guess I expected too much. The sound quality of the box is horrible. You have to spend a little bit on the eq to get levels to be okay. Even using Dolby atmos vs icue. Even then!! Bass and audio distortion was still present. Which is kinda sad because then you have to tune that down and at that point why have these headphones be at the price point it’s at? Returned these and got the hs80 max which with tuning sounds way better, same mic quality and triple the battery life. Be weary of buying these knowing audio distortion is normal and corsair has no fix for this besides telling you to adjust your eq and have 0 bass to anything and songs sounding very horrible.

Really good headphones. And this coming from a guy that used astro headphones for 4 years and converted over the corsair because there is no cables or doc that has issues connecting to charge. I like the fact you can download everything on the app to your headphones and take off the mic and use them as regular headphones and the dont look like gaming headphones. Oh and these headphones are super comfortable no annoying head fatigue super crisp build and I can use them for all gaming consoles and the mic quality is fantastic people trip out on how clear I sound.

I really do think this is the best headset that I have owned for the gaming as well as media consumption on the PC. While it is very pricey compared to other headsets, the sound quality is excellent and the build quality is fantastic. The only gripe that I have is that it doesn't seem to have a very long range. If I walk into the kitchen from my office it does start to cut out and then cuts out completely. This is no farther than about 20 ft. Aside from that issue I am in love with this headset. Absolutely recommend.

These sweet headsets were purchased on a trip that I took and found out I left my old headset at home. They are very comfortable over all, the sound is very clear and multidirectional, and not sure yet about the microphone sound. No one to play with yet to help with feedback on voice clarity. Even though I felt the price was a bit steep, I forked over the cash for them anyways. I do not regret that decision. I just hope the rechargeable batteries last.

Sound Quality is beyond phenomenal. Great 3d sound experience. I've had plenty of cheaper headsets through the years and this one is definately better than any sound experience i've had with any other. Great sound. Great detail. Wonderful charge time. Only complaint is the cost. I dont really think it is worth the $300.00 price tag.

3 star? Yes, 3 stars... Why? Easy, bought the headphones, and I should have read reviews, but I didn't. I saw, "RGB, comfort, and durable," and my thoughts were, "Yay, what I wanted/needed." Well, it is NOT glasses-friendly as it sits tightly on your head. I had to constantly stretch it out and remove it from my head to get some pressure relief. "No way!" you might think... Yes, way! The design is beautiful, but the only thing RGB is the logo, nothing else. Battery life... What battery life? In the beginning, omg it was awesome! Slowly, the battery deteriorated to the point where it won't last me a full day. Had to keep it connected to charge constantly, and as of today, it has charging issues. Sound... Amazing! I love the sound on it and the mic, it worked well enough, no issues hearing others nor them hearing me. I am sad to say, I had a cheaper Corsair headset bought from other stores that has lasted me longer than these. Matter of fact, I have been PC gaming for 4 years and 3 years with the same headset. This one is my last one, and I am going back to Corsair's cheaper sets without all the bells and whistles so they can last me longer and fit comfortably.

    Customization/Connectivity Options for Days!

I have tried a few different wireless headsets and so far this has been my favorite. The easy of connectivity, the quality of the mic both wirelessly and wired sound great, the sound signature is really good, which can be fine tuned to your liking with EQ settings (only available on PC though). Speaking of EQing the sound for your PC, you have to options; the Corsair iCue software and the Dolby Access app, both which you will need to download. If you choose to use the included lifetime Dolby Atmos surround sound setting, you can customize the sound, you just need to go into the Settings section of the Dolby Access app on your computer. If you are using the stereo setting, you can customize the sound via the iCue software. I really like the dual wireless connectivity option with the Slipstream connection via the USB dongle and the Bluetooth connection. This allow me to listen to both PC sound and music from my phone at the same time, both have their own volume adjustments on the headset to really balance the sound. I did find the earpads to be a little shallow and the pleather material did heat up my ears. The earpads are removeable, but not replaceable without completely (and permanently) removing the stock earpads that are glued onto the mounting ring. I did order some hybrid 3rd party earpads that would fit, carefully removed the very glued on pads from the ring and replaced the stock pads. This not only allowed my ears to "breath" better but also changed the sound signature some, to me for the better. Overall, I really like this headset and all the features it has to offer.
