I don’t know what to look for but he wanted it and bought it and uses it every day. I wish there was a way to take off and replace the foam around the ears.

The wireless functionality reaches really far so it never get disconnected inside of the house. Very satisfied with this headset and highly recommend!

Can take or leave the color-changing logo however--my hair covers it anyway. Love not having to be being wired up!

Quite honestly, rather than being improved, I have a feeling that Corsair instead cheaped out on materials for their line of headsets. The headphone drivers sound more dull than usual, and the microphone does not sound as great as I remember

Sorry to hear, you should be getting great sound still from the Void Elite Wireless version. You may want to adjust the EQ in iCUE to get the sound to where you'd like it. You can also adjust the microphone so that's it's closer to your mouth for better vocal pickup. If you'd like assistance, please feel free to reach out to our support team: support.corsair.com
