I placed the reccomended amount and began to lightly spread with the smudger. All of a sudden, unlike any thermal paste ive ever used, it cane right off. I then thought i made a mistake and continued to wipe it off. I tuen attempted again and had used an old smudger i had, had and while getting a better result it still refused to correctly sorrad and cover the surface of my CPU. This cycle continued 3 more times. I then felt the feeling of defeat and remembered i hadcan old bottle of thermal paste in my computer draw. I grabbed this, and applied it believing that because it was “lower quality” id have the same issue…to my surprise this 8 dollar thermaltake thermal paste applied perfect on the first attempt. Dont allow marketing and fanxy packaging fool you. You end up empty handed like myself.

Doesn't have the best thermal conductivity, that would be Thermal Grizzly or a Noctua paste, but it gets the job done for what it is and it was available in a pinch. The applicator card had a tendency to pull as much paste off as it applied. Not a fan of it.
