Took it apart and noticed that thermal paste between heatsink cpu/gpu was very dry and almost gone (my mac is 8 years old). So, i did some research and looks like "CORSAIR - XTM50 High Performance Thermal Paste Kit" was rated high. So, I bought it and added it to my mac's cpu/gpu heatsink. So far - it looks to be helping with the overheating. So, i give it 5 stars! We shall see how it works later :)

The fan was clean but my thermal paste needed reapplied because it hasn't been changed since my PC came out. I applied it carefully to my CPU reassembled it, and was almost completely silent. The fan was very quiet and I would highly recommend this thermal paste.
