Verdict: a good air fryer that includes some convenient technology. It air fries well, it is WiFi capable, and it has an aap. Initial impressions. The unit is not as heavy as I expected. It looks good overall, with a convenient and easy to use front panel. It comes with a recipe book, manual, and shortcut pamphlet. The bottom tray can separate into two to ease cleaning. The cooking tray is quite big, and definitely bigger than our current air fryer. The tray design is great for counter storage, as opposed to a clamshell design. Setup. In terms of the analog air fryer functions, setup is minimal… Turn it on, wait a few minutes for preheat, load, and start. The most interesting feature of this air fryer, the WiFi capability, does require some setup. First download the VeSyn app, then pair your phone to the machine. You’ll have to create an account during the app setup. App. The app sounds like a fantastic capability, but I was a little disappointed. I expect more functionality, especially the ability to turn the machine on remotely. Nevertheless, the app provides access to a digital cook book, you can set temperatures, set and check timers, and get notifications. This really helps for meal prep so you can orchestrate other dishes or start making a fresh salad when you are 10 minutes away from finishing with the air fryer. Performance. This machine air fries pretty good! We made yuca on one day, and we air fried chicken drumsticks on a different day. Both came out great, and healthier that the normal frying for the yuca, and more delicious than baked drumsticks. While the frying tray is big, you don’t as much flat surface area as a different design fryer. Things I love: - Wifi capable and connects to an app! - Convenient button panel - Great size for a kitchen counter - The frying tray is quite large and non-stick - The frying tray also separates into two parts for easy cleaning - Reasonably fast start-up Things I don’t love: - The buttons are hard to press… That’s something that is pretty important to get right - It’s not loud… but it’s not super quiet either. Probably on par with other air fyers. Overall, this is good air fryer. It certainly performs its core purpose (air frying) well. The technology additions are welcome, and I sure could be remedied through remote updates. While there is room to improve, this machine provides new technology features that improve convenience. At this price range, this machine offers good overall value. I recommend it.

Lots of bells and other stuff

This is a very polished air fryer. It is 'smart' as it will connect to Wi-Fi and give you notifications on your phone. While that may seem like a big deal, I don't think I have ever walked more than 10 feet from any air fryer when using it. The app does give you a pretty decent search for recipes. Some are better than others. So the smart aspect is kind of handy but not what I would call a deal breaker if it was not there. The fryer will remind you to shake your food about half way through cooking. The shake alert can be adjusted. There are quite a few presets that work almost perfectly for anything you are cooking. We generally are making frozen french fries or cheese sticks, so we'll likely wear our one button. The basket is a little difficult to get out. There is a slide on the handle to expose a button to release the basket. Make sure that you have the drawer basket combo sitting flat before pushing the button. Glad they have the button guard. It cooks very evenly. Everything about the actual usage is pretty much perfect. I toyed with taking a star away because of how stiff it is getting the basket out. A trick for removing the basket, put one hand on top of the fryer and use your thumb to push the basked out. The basket is plenty large enough to handle a bag of frozen french fries. It is quite spacious. A few nice added pieces are skewers and a rack. The rack is great for air frying a hot dog and getting the grill marks. Also works for two level cooking, just don't have the drippy food on the top level. :D Overall this is a really great fryer that has some bells and whistles that may not be needed, but are not bad to have. Maybe the best thing. It is not round like our old fryer. Lining a round fryer with foil is a pain.

Good air fryer with some annoyances.

This is a good air fryer that gets the job done quickly but has a few areas that could be improved to keep it from being great. The air fryer does make good food and makes it quickly but does need more time than recipes that are described on the internet. Fried chicken on the internet says 12 minutes but this air fryer required 15 minutes to cook to perfection. Same thing with a cauliflower dish that took longer than the recipe said. This is not a problem with it but something to keep in mind when cooking with it. There is an app that goes with it, but it doesn’t do much. You can set the time and temperature but can’t start the food or even preheat. Rather than going through pages in the app to get to where you need, it is just easier to use the buttons on the front of the unit. The app will notify you when the cooking is done, but there is a beep that is loud enough to hear in the next room, or you can just set a timer in the room you are in. It seems this is trying to be smart since everything else is but there is no need for it. The buttons on the front are not very good. If you press too lightly, they don’t respond. If you press too hard, it jumps and skips the temperature and time you want. It is difficult to press it just right. In addition, when the cooking is done and you want to start the same thing again, it forgets the last temperature and time and sets it to the default. It would be nice if it would just remember the last settings used. For some reason, you can’t turn the unit off when the basket is removed. This means that if the basket is dirty and, in the sink, the unit will remain on. Just something to keep in mind. Things are not all bad though. The basket is incredibly easy to clean and just requires very light wiping with soap. Nothing sticks to it. Or you can opt to wish it in the dishwasher but is not necessary. Also, the basket that holds the food is very large and holds more than you would think just by looking at it. Overall, it is a good air fryer that gets the job done and the result is great, but you must get past a few annoyances when using it to appreciate it.

The Cosori Pro Gen 2 is trustworthy kitchen companion. It contains an ample cooking basket size and gives pretty decent meal results. I usually bake salmon and fry chicken so I though this product would be the perfect candidate for it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the food tasted even though I didn't cook it in a traditional manner. One of the most valuable features is that it has 11 presets. These presets help cover a range of food types and allow me to use the most appropriate settings for the food that I'm cooking. Kitchen appliances can be intimidating for novice chefs, but the included cookbook is enough to instill confidence to prepare any meal. Another good features is the included app. Sometimes I don't feel getting off the couch to just press a few buttons so the VeSync app allows me to save some time and effort. It is a bit limited in functionality such as start and stop, but I still find it handy. When all the cooking done, it helps to have a something easy to clean and the Cosori pro offers just that. The basket and parts are easy to clean and wipe so it makes for an easy task to complete. In all, the Cosori is a serviceable air fryer.

"Smart" air fryer is more than just a gimmick

The explosion of "smart" gadgets which have wifi and voice controls has led to a lot of gimmicky IoT devices in my home over the last few years. When given the opportunity to use the Cosori Pro Gen 2 Smart Air Fryer, I assumed it would be more of the same. I'm pleasantly surprised that the wifi features of this air fryer are actually... useful! On top of the Cosori being an exceptionally good air fryer, the voice controls make for a really nice upgrade from the standard digital air fryer I've been using for a few years. The controls via Alexa are a little better than the ones for Google Assistant, but either work well for doing what I usually want to do by voice. Getting dinner ready for the kids? While I'm reaching into the freezer for some nuggets, I can tell the air fryer to start preheating. I can also ask how much time is left on the timer. Very cool and a welcome upgrade. The air fry performance of this Cosori Pro was excellent. The basket design is actually really impressive and clearly improves air flow around the food in the basket. Everything I've tried so far has been evenly cooked without burned hot spots. I've found that it's also absolutely perfect for toasting bagels (you can do 4 halves perfectly in the basket - 350 degrees for 3 minutes leads to a perfect level of toast). Probably the most important feature for me is the ease of cleaning and here again the Cosori was really easy to clean. I use Dawn Powerwash spray to clean it. All surfaces inside the basket are non-stick and so far have done a REALLY good job at keeping things un-stuck. Things that typically take a lot of elbow grease to clean like fish sticks (an air fry staple) and toasted sandwiches with cheese haven't been difficult at all. The Cosori isn't perfect, however. The touch buttons are a little frustrating to use, but I've already gotten used to using the voice controls for starting it so it hasn't been a big deal. And the beeps are a bit too loud. Aside from those limitations, I love this appliance and am happy to replace my older device with the Cosori Pro.

Great Air Fryer with a Good Set of Features

This is the first air fryer that I've ever had the opportunity to use. I've always wanted to try one for cooking, as it looked so convenient to cook things like fries, frozen vegetables, and other foods in a way that was healthier than frying and tastier than just baking it in the oven. The Cosori - Pro Gen 2 is a great unit that cooks food well and delivers great results. I used it to heat up fries and chicken strips and they turned out great. Fries were crispy and just right. The Chicken tenders were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and my kids loved them. The unit came with a great recipe book that I'd like to try when I have more time. It was easy to setup the unit... basically unpack it, clean the wipe out and clean the basket and go. The unit has presets that you can use to cook fries, chicken, steak, etc. You can also connect the air fryer with the companion app and set it up to work with Alex or Google Assistant. From there you can use voice commands to set temperatures, check how much time remains, among other things. The unit itself is nothing special to look at. It's all black, and my kitchen appliances are stainless steel. It's not something that I intend to leave out on the counter when not in use, but it doesn't look bad when it is out. The basket cleans easy, and you can put it in the dishwasher. I found it a little awkward to fit in the dishwasher. I'll probably hand wash it most of the time, as it was easy enough to clean by hand. The air fryer vents out the back and Cosori recommends keeping it at least 5 in away from the wall for proper ventilation. It gets hot at the exhaust, so you don't want that steam venting on your walls. Overall, I think this unit is great. It has a lot of great features, and I'm excited to use it more and more and to try some new recipes with the family.

This is not my first air fryer and I have grown to love the convenience and ease of creating tasty and healthy meals. The Cosori stands above the other air fryers as it is a smart appliance. It is wifi enabled, can interact with Google Home and Alexa and uses the VeSync app to enable you to control your air fryer from your phone, The Cosori functions very well as an air fryer. Its 1700 watts of power ensures that it heats up quickly and can cook your meal quickly. The inner/outer basket design makes clean up very easy and the baskets are dishwasher safe. The 11 presets can make cooking as easy as the push of a button. My first trial with the air cooker was to cook a ribeye steak. The steak came out perfectly cooked and moist. I later tried reheating the leftover steak and the results were equally as good. Everything that I have tried in the air cooker has been done perfectly and quickly. As well as the Cosori functions as an air fryer, it is the smart features that set it apart. Using your home wifi, your air fryer can interface with your android or iPhone using the VeSync App. This will enable you to preprogram the air fryer remotely and to send the settings from an online recipe to the air fryer. You do have to use the start button on the air fryer to actually start the cooking process. As your meal cooks, reminders will be sent to your phone, including reminders to shake the basket when needed and noifications when your meal is done. When I first heard about air fryers, I regarded them as gimmicks to reheat frozen snacks. As I have used them, my opinions have changed. An air fryer can be a lifestyle change, enabling you to turn out tasty and well cooked meals in a limited time.

Pro: -Quick and easy to cook with -Control through app or Alexa Con: -Buttons sometimes won’t register presses -Cleaning Cooking was quick and easy. The presets already provide a good starting point for the different meats. The base defaults and the suggested settings in the quick guide tend to over cook and I had to adjust the time about 2-3 mins less. Once I got familiar with the timing, it cooked well. The basket is big enough for about 15 wings in a single layer, and deep enough for a bag of fries. I did notice that the touch buttons sometimes won’t register when I press it. It’s not a big deal, but I wonder how it’ll hold up long term. Cleaning, while not difficult, is a bit tricky. The basket has angled vents so it could only be cleaned in one direction and scrubbing it clean is more difficult. For the inside of the fryer, there’s no easy way to clean it, so you’ll just have to reach in and wipe it clean. After some time, I can see grease will start to build up and there won’t be a way to clean it, but that’s true for most air fryers. The smart features allows you to control the fryer via the app or connect it to Alexa to use voice control. You can’t start the fryer with them, for safety reasons, but you can monitor the time, pause, and change the temperature. When using the app and you put the phone to sleep, there’s a delay before it connects with the fryer again. The app also has recipes. When connected to Alexa, the voice commands conflicted with another appliance so I ended up not using it. All in all, it’s a fine air fryer. It doesn’t have any other heating features other than frying, but it cooks just fine once you get used to the settings. The presets take out most of the guesswork for temperature and cooking time. The smart features lets you monitor and control it with the app, and you can control it with your voice, but it’s not something I would use heavily.

I've never been someone who spent much time in the kitchen and my cooking skills extend as far as pressing buttons on my microwave. But since getting my Cosori I've found myself diving down the rabbit hole of cooking and enjoying myself immensely! I fully credit the ease and consistency that my air fryer lends. At 55 years old I've discovered that old dogs can learn new and delicious tricks! I don't even have to press any buttons, just ask my smart device to "Cook at 370 degrees for 7 minutes" and I'm up and away.

This is a great air fryer. I put off getting an air fryer for a while, because of hearing they were not that good. That is so far from the truth. This is an amazing product. The chicken I cooked in this air fryer has made me a believer. To start, the machine is top quality. It's a medium weight, metal material. Not too heavy. The basket and tray are dishwasher safe. It looks great on my counter top. Setting up the app was a little tedious, but once that was accomplished it was smooth sailing. It is very easy to use, and the directions were pretty clear. The key is the quick start instructions. It is the fastest way to get food ready, it tells you everything you need to know in order to set the fryer up properly and get the best cooking results. It gives short cuts to figuring out cooking times and temperatures. I plan to try several dishes, but the chicken was my first dish. The chicken was a golden crisp brown, and not dry. It was very good. I may never fry using grease again. I also tried French fries, to my surprise, they were pretty good too. You can use this air fryer to cook veggies too, there is an entire list of veggies and cook time for them. Very convenient. You can not go wrong with this air fryer. Hands down, it is a great device, I look forward to many uses.

As long as they come to temperature and blow hot air, it's hard to mess up an Air Fryer, but Cosori has managed to do just that with results that are often mediocre to the point we've pretty much stopped using it. Additionally, their customer service is pretty poor, to the point that I had occaision to wonder if I had suddenly starting speaking a foreign language or something. Buy at your own risk.

I currently have a Cosori air fryer. I received an email for a recall. The recall was due to some wire’s possibly becoming a fire hazard. Good on them for issuing the rcall as lives could be at stake and its the right thing to do. I spent around 30 minutes filling out the recall form. I had to find the receipt and purchase date. I had to tpe in the long serial number and take not one, not 2 but 3 different pictures if the unit and upload them. I then receive a cryptic email saying thers an error with my submission. “Cord is not cut, visible, or clear”. So possibly they wanted the cord to be pictured? So this is an item , with a potentially dangerous defect that coul harm my family and after providing all the purchase info and 3 photos of the unit they arent happy with a picture? Again im not sure the reason for the initial I will never buy another product from them I would think they would be more concerned about the potential harm their product could cause to my family. At the very least be more informative on the exact reason my recall form had issues
