It may because of it being new. I had a leather one on my last kindle and loved it, more user friendly.

A good, sturdy protective case

Okay, Fire 10 Tablet Cover

The 1st one he cracked and the last one wasn't charging properly, so I figured I'll by the tablet cover for protection. It's on the thin side, but the Sales Rep ensured us that it would do the job; even after hearing what happened to the other two and we will see. My son loves the different positions he can put it in and once we can get him to keep the cover lid close when not in use, it should fine.
