The cover is very attractive. If you do not plan to use the built in stand you will be good. I could not make the stand work for me. Too flimsy to Hold the HD8 up.

The Amazon Fire is nice, but I don't find it user friendly and focuses around Amazon Products too much. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

we rigged it with velcro and a stand. the cover is adequate for protecting the tablet but doesn't stand like it shoulld

Not too fond of the cover with the way it is designed for propping up the Kindle. Looks unstable.

What a fantastic product. Honestly I held off purchasing a name brand case because of the higher cost, opting instead to go for a cheaper brand I ordered online. I am so thankful I was able to upgrade to Amazon's official case! I chose the grey case to offset my marine Fire HD 8. My favorite part is that it wakes and sleeps my device just by opening and closing the cover. A small detail, but so much fun! The case itself is very durable, and I love the fact that it supports the device in portrait as well as landscape seamlessly. I've read others comments that they're having difficulty doing the same; I've yet to have this problem. Works just fine whether on my desk at work, my granite counter or the obligatory in bed streaming Netflix. So very highly recommended! Amazon has done it again!

Doesn't not even go with my item n when I ask for another one they sent me the same thing..not cool at all still have no case

Seems like a cool concept a case you can bend. It gets dirty so quick and looks filthy. This case if you drop it will offer you no protection for your device .

This item i would not purchase again.. This item is not something I would recommend so I feel like it was a mistake to order.

Very laggy very slow couldn’t set up anything on it and the web browsing and video viewing wouldn’t load

It was the wrong size, had to reorder and it was still the wrong size, bought from Amazon

Admittedly the cover is designed to have the tablet snap in and is held firmly in place. It is well made and attractive. However, when I'm using the tablet it's generally on a table, desk or other flat surface. The design of the cover flap has a fold that "theoretically" provides for self standing but it is so poorly designed will not allow the tablet to be self standing in either the vertical or horizontal position. For me this is a big drawback and I'm surprised that this issue had not been addressed.
