Bought machine thinking the only thing else I would need to purchase are the usables (like the vinyl and cutting tools). Unbeknown to me was that after the mandated account setup setting, a subscription was required to use certain images and features (like removing the background on uploaded images). Furthermore to save my image required me to save it to Circuts server AND my desktop not one or the other. When saving to desktop I was required to save to the server and was not given an option to save to desktop. Finally, when I uploaded my creative art for cutting, the cricut software froze. And yes, the cricut was updated. Maybe it’s just not for me, but paying 400.00 for a machine like this I would expect the liberty to save to my desktop with the full features of everything it has to offer with purchase price. I would not purchase unless you like paying monthly service charges or you have a business that can swallow some of the extra cost that come along with this product.

An unreliable machine (had 2 machines fail on me with light use, one just outside of the return window so now I've got to deal with the horrendous Cricut company directly) with software that gets in the way more than it helps, all run by a company looking to nickel and dime you at every possible turn. Buy an alternative from any other company, this is a complete waste of money.

There was no operator's manual either in the box or online. The software is incredibly poor with minimal drafting tools, essentially none. About all you really can do is pick from pre-made objects with some choices requiring a purchase. Adding to this, you get an annoying popup inviting you to sign up for a 30 "free trial" and then pay ~$10.00/month. It is like Cricut designed their software for the least skilled and least capable people at the expense of having even the basic CAD tools for useful and efficient design. On top of that, you can't even start the software necessary to use the machine unless you are online. Their FAQ's indicate that you can "design" and cut while offline. The truth is that you can modify a previously saved design offline, but only if you first are connected to the internet so you can start Cricut Design Space and then you can disconnect from the internet and run the machine! If you are accustomed to using a real CNC machine with associated software whose developers don't assume you're an idiot, then Cricut is definitely NOT what you want. The machine itself looks well made; the problem is the software needed to drive it is so restrictive and according to my lengthy discussion with customer support, you have no alternative way to drive the hardware, no matter how capable the machine may be.

I gave this to my wife as my Christmas gift and she was so happy this is her second machine so far we gave it a 4 star because she haven’t use it yet .

Great Cricut has a learning curve.I feel like once I learn it will be easy.

Take your time, cant rush making things. Buy thr weeding tools. It’ll save hours of labor
