    Worth all the hype!

Pressure cookers seem to have become very popular within the last year. After finally getting one, I see what all the hype has been about. To be honest, once this cooker is out of the box, it’s a bit overwhelming. It’s a 10 qt, which is much larger than what “instant pot” has to offer. The pot itself is non-stock coated which I love! So easy to clean. I highly recommend following the yellow instruction paper to begin. It has you boil water to get the hang of the cooker before you get into recipes. This cooker has every feature you could imagine, has plenty of presets AND lets you manually put in your settings. These digital pressure cookers take all the worry out of using a pressure cooker. Its nothing like the old ones that you put on the stove. It’s all self functioning, you just put your settings in and it does all the work. The buttons feel a little flimsy, but crock pot puts out a good product so I would imagine it won’t be an issue. There’s also a small recipe book in the box to get you started. It’s amazing how quickly food can be cooked!

This is the largest and best crock pot, multi cooker I ever used. If you have a big family or are throwing a party or even attending a pot luck, this is the cooker to have. Depending on what you plan to cook it easily can feed 10 or more. So far I used it to make chili, beef stew, rice and steamed veggies. It does it all and is easy to clean. I highly recommend it!

Crock Pot 10Qt Whats in the box ———————— 1. Crock Pt 10qt 2. User guide 3. Cookbook Pros —— 1. Its a massive instant pot & cheaper than the instant pot 2. Its got a non-stick pot unlike the stainless one that the instant pot has. 3. Its got a Yogurt mode!! 4. Its got a slow cooker 5. Its got a clean design Cons —— 1. Its 10qt :) Review ———— BUILD QUALITY & SETUP Its got a very good build quality made of metal and plastic. The cook pot is made of nonstick inside which is a good thing since the food does not stick inside. This thing is huge since its a 10qt and really can cook means for a big party. FEATURES It has 14 preset modes of Brown, Sauté, slow cook, simmer, boil, yogurt, keep warm, meat , beans , soup, rice, dessert, steam and sterilize and a manual cook mode which lets you control the temperature and the time. Ofcourse, you can chose one of the preset mode and adjust the time and temperature. I have a Ninja electric cooker and an instant pot and this is my third one and I have to say that I have been pleased with all 3. Ninja did not have the slow cook option but the instant pot and the crockpot has the slow cook option . Ninja has a ceramic pot but this one is non-stick and the instant pot has stainless steel. Interestingly I am unable to find a 10qt cooker in the crockpot website so I am not sure where to find the replacement parts. One important feature is the steam release dial, its a good feature to have , when you want to get the food out early before the steam automatically gets out. I like the dial better than the push to release in the instant pot.

Until over a year ago, I could not live without a Crock-Pot slow cooker. Lately, I cannot live without a pressure cooker. It is good to see that Crock-Pot makes models that can do both. Because there are other brands out there that can do the same, I tried to focus on the quality, which seems to be on the high-end side. The only thing I am not very convinced about yet is the non-stick built of the container. I rarely like non-stick kitchen appliances because they tend to wear out very quickly and I cannot stand the use of non-metal spatulas for instance. I thought it was stainless steel like the body. Only time will tell whether the non-stick coating will last long. I hope it does because I like the overall quality so far. When cooking, I hate guesswork. I have used four of the fifteen one-touch meal settings and they were all spot on. Perfect meal every single time. The progress bar that indicates when the pressure is at the desired level was very useful. Or so says my anxiety to know when it is actually cooking. I have some recipes books for similar types of cooker and I was able to use one of the recipes without making any adjustments. I am assuming that other recipes will work about the same. That is excellent news because I am always Googling recipes and very few, if any, are specifically for this model. Just one thing to keep in mind: this pot is huge. I have more than just a few children but now most are out of the house with the exception of two. It takes some learning to use such a big cooker to prepare meals for just three people. I still love it because Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming quickly and the whole family will gather again. In addition, I like to entertain so this is perfect for big amount of food. Especially, for some delicious and exotic food I cook, which require a big pot. Next recipe to try is a Brazilian feijoada. It requires quick cooking for some parts and slow cooking for others. That will be the perfect test for me but I am more than confident that it will do the job very well based on my experience so far. It would not win any beauty contest but I have not seen any that would. I think somebody should come up with a design that would just look gorgeous in the kitchen. The fact that the body is made of stainless steel is a big plus and its looks is just as good as other top brands. It is just that my photography and video passion draws me to look for beauty everywhere. If you have the room on your kitchen counter and you need to cook a lot of food, this is it. You just cannot go wrong with it. If you have never owned a multi-cooker like this one, you will be amazed at how fast and perfect results you get. The Express in the name is more than just marketing. It redefines the meaning of fast food and it can be tied to eating healthy.

I love this product new. However, I only ranked it 2 because I am having a heck of a time finding replacement parts. I have other multicookers but the parts aren't the same and the company doesn't seem to have replacement parts. Perhaps I just bought too early.

Overall the unit is built well, but I had trouble getting it to build pressure and it would lead to lots of errors. I traded it in for the Ninja Foody which was smaller, but I'm much happier.

The Crock-Pot® - 10qt Digital Multi Cooker in stainless steel makes it easy to prepare a variety of meals perfectly. The presets are amazing. With one touch the Crock-Pot knows exactly how to optimize the cooking process to produce the best results. It's extremely versatile, as you can prepare meat, soup, and more. I've only used 3 of the presets, and they work great. I can't wait to try out the others. The 10qt capacity works great for most foods. It's easy to maintain, cleaning does not require much effort at all. The Crock-Pot is well designed. I love how it looks on the counter. I highly recommend the Crock-Pot 10qt Digital Multi Cooker.

    Awesome cooker

I am completely enamored with my new Crock-Pot multi-cooker! The wife has been wanting something like this for a while but I never saw the draw. Now I'm hooked. First off, this thing is an absolute beast of a machine and is quite hefty, which is to be expected from a pressure cooker. The next thing you notice is the multitude of cooking options you have which is evident by the many preset buttons across the face. There is also the option to manually change settings as well to really tweak the cooking experience to fit your needs. While I haven't tried them all (and may likely never get to them), but so far what I have used have worked flawlessly and turned out excellent results. The first thing I tried was steaming some green beans. Super simple and they came out awesome. Took about 3-4 minutes to build pressure then another 3 for a perfect steam. I love the fact that the steam release switch is at the front of the lid while the steam escapes out the back, practically eliminating the chances of getting burned. The next night, I tried a traditional slow-cooker soup recipe that I've used for years, partially expecting subpar results because there is no "crock" but a nonstick "pot" for lack of a better term. I was mistaken. We weren't able to tell a lick of difference from our old traditional crock-pot! I have a roast in there right now. It smells amazing and I'm positive it will turn out great. One thing I'm excited to try out is the ability to brown/sear/saute right in the cooker then add the rest of the ingredients tot he same pot. Definitely will make cleanup simpler. On that note, the nonstick insert so far has been a breeze to clean with stuff basically wiping out then a quick hit with a soapy sponge to get the last bits. The only thing I could possibly ding this machine for is the lack of on-board cord storage but I've been using it so much since I got it that it so far hasn't been an issue. Oh, and the first time you take out the plastic overflow cup from the back, be careful because it's in there very snugly. I flung mine halfway across the room on accident! After that first time it comes out much easier though.

A replacement cookware that makes all other options on the stovetop obsolete! At first glance when unboxing this behemoth of a household “crockpot”, is that it is absolutely beautiful aesthetically going very well with any modern kitchen but looks intimidating for someone that has never cooked with a pressure cooker. It has its stainless steel and black appeal that matches the typical stainless-steel appliance laden kitchen and doesn’t stand out as a lone addition. It feels built to last but only time will tell. The front digital display and buttons are simple and user friendly and it is quick to set up and just as easy to clean. We have used it for a few family meals already and each one has been delicious and prepared in a fraction of the time it would’ve took in the conventional oven. We cooked a pot roast by searing the meat first in the cooker and then just added the vegetables and other fixings, locked the top, set the timer, and viola…. Fresh prepared pot roast and vegetables in minutes! All the food was very moist, and the flavors seemed infused into the meat much better than in if cooked in the oven. We also were able to cook an entire chicken in the cooker cooked all the way through with nothing but moist flavor. I am totally impressed with this multi cooker and excited to see what the future holds for our family meals!
