Our Crock-Pot Express works very well. We’ve made two recipes out of the included recipe booklet, the beef and broccoli with rice and the rotisserie chicken and potatoes, and both turned out great. This is a large pot, and most of the recipes are sized to serve 8 to 10 people. We halved the recipe for the chicken (except for the chicken itself, of course), and easily made a meal for three. With its size and the speed at which a pressure-cooker cooks food, you can easily make an entire meal with it in an hour or so. The unit is highly programmable, and we’ve haven’t begun to scratch the surface of its possibilities. One recipe we’re planning is the “whole turkey dinner.” With Thanksgiving not far off, we wondered about making the whole dinner, to serve 10 people, which is how many we’ll have and what the recipe says it serves, in the pot. Before springing that on the entire family, we thought we’d make it once ahead of time and see how it turns out. There are many other recipes for appetizers, main meals, and dessert, and it will take us months to get through them all. But they all look good, and we’re looking forward to trying them.

Game Changer for a Busy Family

When I first spotted this I thought to myself, oh I need a new crock pot...mine has some age to it. I occasionally pulled the slow cooker out to toss some meat in to cook all day that way I had something prepared for dinner later. And that was pretty much all it was....a slow cooker. But this guy changes the game completely!! But first, I had heard some people saying instant pots were good and just figured it was another kitchen fad that would soon fall out of favor for most. And I still figure that's true, but once I got a chance to use this guy I was hooked!! A crock pot to me was always just that...a slow cooker with a ceramic crock. So I was initially a little disappointed when I opened this sucker up and found a teflon coated steel pot. I immediately thought oh man...now I'm going to have to deal with cleaning it and possibly scratching it up with metal utensils. But that initial disappointment abated when I came to realize the steel pot had a simmer/brown/sear function. I've banged out 3 meals in this thing this week alone. It's infinitely easier to just toss everything in and brown it in one pot, and then switch over to soup or chili and cook up a rocking stew. It just makes everything that much more convenient, and leads to way less cleaning of pots/pans. The ability to pressure cook a nutritious potato soup in 20 mins using this crock pot is huge!! I whipped up a rockin jambalaya earlier this week and made everything all in one pot in 20 mins. There is seriously nothing more convenient in the kitchen than this. Nutritious and quick meals for busy families are all possible with this thing. Get you one now!! It takes up a lot of space and so storing is a bit of a pain. And you need to remember to use teflon safe rubber/plastic utensils in it. Aside from that I really have had no complaints. In short summary: I love it and would recommend it!!

This is my first try at a pressure cooker. I’ve only tried a couple of things and the results have been mixed. Before I get into the performance, let's talk about the unit. Size : It is huge and easily capable of preparing large meals. It will take up quite a bit of counter space, so much so that I used it on my flat top stove. Quality : It is okay, remember this is only a $80 cooking appliance so set expectations accordingly . The lid locks positively and is solid. A possible negative is the long term durability of the non stick coating. It does not feel like it will hold up . I have no way of knowing that but I would be careful not to scratch it. Controls : Easy to use and straight forward. The one touch programs are great and make this much easier than the old manual style (or so I have read.) Performance : As I indicated, I had mixed results but it is combination of a learning curve and the unit itself. First , I tried a steak. Yes, I know; mistake. I tried searing it and cooking it. Well, it turned it into a bad roast beef and not a great color. I tried pork chops and while they did not come out looking good, they were moist and tender. After realizing that they may not be the best test cases , I tried a basic steamed chicken with some spices. Came out perfect. I tried some pastas and they came out surprisingly good ( well after I destroyed one batch.) Bottom line, there is a learning curve here and it is best suited to softer foods or even foods that you can finish off in a pan ( I did that to try to save the steak I cooked.) In terms of cooking speed, it is noticeably faster that most other methods. Conclusion This is a hard call between if this machine is too finicky, too much of learning curve or just me. I am single guy and this is probably too large for my needs. But I can totally see the usefulness for a family. Regardless of what the recipes show, I do not think this will every be good for those foods that need a good sear on the outside. It should be fine for chicken and pastas and great for stews. I think some of the settings are a bit off and you can easily overcook some foods . Additionally, there is a level of impreciseness in the temperature control. I would still recommend it for those who have the time to learn how to use it or those who are already experienced.

I really had no idea what I was getting myself into with a 10qt Crock Pot. But I did it anyways. It does not even fit into my cabinet where is store my air fryer and existing Crock Pot. So far that has been my biggest issue. After reading the instructions I was impressed how easy to use it is. You can both pressure cook and slow cook in it. I made two big beef roasts at the same time. Now I have a ton of leftovers. You can set a timer to start it later, which is convenient. There are also pre-set buttons for different common dishes. You lock the lid on, choose what type of venting to use and turn it on. It just cooks and you don't have to worry about it. I highly recommend this Crock Pot, I just now need a small army to fully utilize the capacity!

This thing is AMAZING! It's really nicely built, and cooks a lot better than the cheaper pot I purchased last year. The included recipe book had some great meal ideas, and the instructions were fairly easy to follow. I appreciate that the steam rack isn't oddly small, or makes it too easy for things to fall off the rack. The steam release is very smartly designed! Probably the best one I've used. There is a turn dial toward the front that you can turn to release or close the valve. The release valve is actually mounted toward the rear, away from your hand and face. The last pot I had was like starting a firecracker and hoping it didn't burn you. Can't tell you how many times I wasn't paying enough attention to where the released air was coming up from. The various programmed buttons make it easy to make soups, beans, and even yogurt! I was surprised how easy it was to make beans in the first place. This isn't your traditional crock pot, but if you want it to slow cook, it does that too! So far, I've made meatballs, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli, and even chicken! The cooking pot is relatively painless to clean, and found that rust from some left over water just wipes away, with no marking on the pot itself. It comes with a spoon, which I've only used for the beans. This is a pretty great pot, and the various different uses makes this a great kitchen appliance for any home. I'm still amazed at the great meals I've made.

    King of Multi-Cookery

The Crock-Pot® - 10qt Digital Multi Cooker - Stainless Steel is the new standard in multi-cooker appliances. It offers a significant number of cooking options while adding more volume for larger meals. Crock-Pot ensures quality and visual aesthetics in this unit allowing it to be an everyday part of your countertop without seeming out of place. I found this multi-cooker to be everything it was hyped up to be. Amazing pots roasts, tender moist chick, chilis, soups... all were cooked to perfection with the convenience of a simple add ingredients and go. I especially like the pressure cooker component which we used on the pot roast. It came out falling a part even on a old freezer-burnt roast we tried just for the challenge. PROS - Crock-Pot quality and brand recognition - Large capacity compared to others on the market - enough for large families - Multiple settings and cook options ensures you will find what you need - Easy to use/read control panel CONS - The control panel feels a bit flimsy to me. It feels like it could separate overtime and use, especially if the unit heats up. Great unit and absolutely recommended for one-and-done cooks or those who are always on the go but still want home-cooked meals. Large families can benefit as well.

    HUGE Cooker

When I say this thing is big, I mean it’s the largest pressure cooker I’ve ever seen. 10 quarts is a massive cooker. This crockpot is easy to use and has tons of features. It’ll do the traditional crockpot slow cookjust like you know how to use, cook meat perfectly, brown and seat meat really well, and even make yogurt! This cooker does all of this on a massive scale. My wife and I tried the meatloaf recipe that came with the cooker. It was incredibly easy and tasted delicious. In about 50 minutes we had cooked about a 4 lb meatloaf and 4 huge potatoes all in the same pot. My wife and I ate on it for days. If you have a big family and need to cook things fast, this is the gadget to use. I can’t say I have had any problems with the unit so far and am very pleased with how easy the meals are to cook and how great they taste. The pot is easy to clean, non stick, and is even dishwasher safe. Overall I can’t think of a better multi cooker.

This crockpot slow cooker and pressure cooker is a real timer saver for my large family. It is the perfect size for cooking rice and other large meals. The include “small” recipe book is not enough but you can easily look online for other recipes that can translate well to this crockpot. So far the lining is holding up well after 12 days of daily use, yes love the device. I was worried about the lining as other reviewers of the small crock pots indicate the liner starts to peel and crack off, so far nothing. The device is a real time saver even with slow venting. Browning and searing does work and adds to the multi use of this device even with the amount of counter space required, it is well worth it. Get the device especial if on sale! It saves time on cooking and relatively ease cleanup.
