Great Crockpot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use digital controls. Flip-over locks hold lid in place for transporting (don't cook with lid locked) Sleek, stylish design with removable serving dish that can easily be cleaned afterwards. Toggle through the multiple settings with the push of a button - 2 settings for high (4 and 6 hours), 2 settings for low (8 and 10 hours) plus a "warm" setting that can also automatically start when your cook cycle is complete. Nice, even heat, works great. Sturdy, rubber feet keep it firmly in place. Six-quart size - 50% larger than my previous 4-quart. I put 3 large chicken breasts in the crockpot in the morning, set it for 10 hours, and they were perfect when I returned home. Overall, a great small appliance that should last for years.

Probably a good crock pot, but not as described
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was described as being programmable, which makes me think, set a timer to start and finish. It only has presets for cooking 4, 6, 8, and 10 hours. Not what I expected. I returned it.

Not impressed
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to return this because the heat settings won't allow full control. I decided to give it as a gift. Loved that it was black.

Excellent product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This crock pot/slow cooker does and excellent job. We have made ribs and chicken in it just in the past week. Both came out nice and evenly cooked. The dials and controls are easy to use and function flawlessly. While it is a smaller cooker, I appreciate the handles on the lid to hold down the lid firmly. Easy to clean and maintain, as well. Definitely recommend!

Crock pot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great crock pot but the lid gasket is not very strong which makes the lid to move more than normal.

Good, basic option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For someone who just wants the basics, this is a good choice. It's a solid, functional crock pot with the added feature of a locking lid, making it good for taking meals out after prepping them at home. It has convenient presets for one-button operation. Big enough to use for a family meal, but not so big that it's impractical for smaller dishes. Easy to clean and lightweight.

I Love me some Crock-Pot dinners!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic kitchen "essential" for every household. Programmable = AWESOME. Set it in the morning (or night before) and food slow cooks to tender perfection ready whenever you want it. Locking lid is another bonus feature. Allows for easier transport when needed and keeps the kids out of it while cooking. This has been a great addition to our cooking arsenal, I would definitely recommend to a friend and especially the programing ability and locking lid features.

Overall Nice Slow Cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An overall nice slow cooker. Pretty standard construction with a metal (aluminum?) warming chassis and a glazed ceramic pot. The chassis has rubber feet and the matte black finish is very nice. The latching glass lid features a silicone seal around the outside and actually allows the retaining latches to nest when not in use so they don’t flop around; nice touch. Operation is straightforward with 4 timer lengths spread across 2 heating levels. I personally wouldn’t call it “programmable”, but that’s just me. My only real gripe is, the power cord is seriously short: Its probably fine on a counter that backs to a wall, but to use it on my island, I have to turn the pot half way around to reach the outlet.

Reliable Slow Cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While there isn’t much to say about this Crock-Pot 6-Quart Slow Cooker, what can be said is mostly positive. This slow cooker may be labeled as “programmable”, but I think that might be a stretch. In my opinion, a programmable device allows for user-defined settings, along with the ability to start or stop the intended functions at specific user-programmed times or intervals. To be clear, there are no true programming functions with this slow cooker. You cannot choose a specific temperature or time setting. The options you have are (1) a “HIGH” setting of either 4 or 6 hours, (2) a “LOW” setting of either 8 or 10 hours, or (3) a “WARM” setting. Additionally, the power is either on or off. So yes, you do have some heating selection options, but not true programmability. For some, this may be all you need. Just don’t expect the ability to set this device to cook at 300 degrees for 90 minutes. That specific degree of programming does not exist with this particular model. With all that being said, the functions this model does have do work, and they work well. If you’ve ever owned a slow cooker from Crock-Pot, then you already know the quality and reliability that come with the brand. I appreciate the more modern look and feel, along with the updated lid latching system. This no frills slow cooker is great for your standard slow cooker meals. Roasts, dips, meatballs, even large stews and soups all cook evenly and thoroughly. The lid secures snuggly to the slow cooker and the base is stable. So transporting your dish in the car is less worrisome than previous models. Although, there is a small vent hold in the lid, which will allow for liquids to escape if completely overturned, so this slow cooker is not completely spill-proof. The ceramic crock removes easily and not much sticks to the sides, so cleanup is rather easy. If you are looking for a reliable, simple, easy to use, portable slow cooker then this might be just what you need. It is everything you would expect from the Crock-Pot brand. As I previously stated, there isn’t much to this slow cooker - no frills, no bells and whistles, but the core functions it is designed to perform all work flawlessly. I would have no problems recommending this to friends, family, or co-workers.

Programmable?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Crock Pot is much different then any I have owned previously. It's not bad but different. It might take some trial and error to get used to. On old Crock Pots I would throw in my meat or chicken, set it to high or low, and when I thought it was ready turn it off and serve dinner. With this new Crock-Pot Cook & Carry Programmable 6-Quart Slow Cooker I now have to set a time that I think my food will be done and the Crock Pot will turn itself to warming at the end of that time. Most of my recipes I use a crock for don't have specific times, (I.e. pork carnitas, chicken taco's and pot roast). Your "programmable" options are High (4 or 6 hours) and low ( 8 or 10 hours). I wish they would have added just High (on) low (on) buttons too. As I said it will just have to be a trial and error though. My first try was chicken taco's. I just set the Crock Pot to high and 6 hours. After 4 hours I checked it periodically and the chicken was ready to shred at about 5 hours. So now I know to set it for 6 hours and shut it off or switch to warm after 5. The tight seal and being able to lock the lid kept it a 4 star for me. Other Crock Pots would rattle as the food inside got hot and started to simmer. But not this one., The lid remained tight all through the cooking time. And since we do a lot of tailgating the thought of being able to lock the lid, throw it in the car and not worry about spillage is awesome. The Black finish inside and out will ensure that we will be able to use this for years unlike our last beige colored one that was stained and kind of embarrassing to bring and use at parties. The clean up was easy too.
