There are a lot of variations when it comes to slow cookers today, but I like this model because it covers all of the fundamental things one needs. At 7 quarts the size should cover most everyone's needs. I cooked a large roast with carrots and potatoes and there was no issue with lack of room. A batch of chili left more than enough room to spare. Both cooked wonderfully and tasted great. The mushroom color is a nice change. It's a neutral color that fits in nicely with our kitchen. When cooking I find that that the food does stick a bit on the inside of the crock in some spots, but I found it to clean up very easily and it ends up looking good as new. The stoneware crock is also dishwasher and oven safe. Cooking controls are very easy to use with a Select button for High and Low cook times and an Off button. When cooking times are completed the Crockpot will default to keeping food warm. The locking lid is a nice feature if you want to take your Crockpot on the go. Just bear in mind that this lid will not invert for storage purposes because of the lock mechanism. When cooking with the Crockpot the instructions note that the lid should be left unlocked. Given the large capacity, neutral color tone, locking lid and simple, functional design of this Crockpot I find it very easy to recommend. The bonus little dipper is handy for sauces and dips and I would think an easy gravy warmer at Thanksgiving.
