Great way to cook
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had our Crock-Pot for a little while and have really enjoyed it. There are so many thing to make in it and it's nice to not have to make dinner right before you eat. This product itself is a nice bundle. Both pots work just as you would expect a Crock-Pot to work. The 7 quart is very large so it's best suited for parties or gatherings. We used it for a 4-6 person meal and it was definitely more space than we needed. The preset buttons for time are very convenient and easy to use. The small pot is perfect for dips or other toppings. The large pot has the latch down gasketed lid for traveling and removeable ceramic bowl for easy cleaning. The color is lighter than I had expected for 'mushroom' but goes very nicely with our kitchen (off-white cabinets, tan quartz and creamy white backsplash). I would say ours was closer to off white color but it fits perfectly and we love it. The only complaints we had were the ceramic coating was not perfect on the large pot bowl. It was on the outside of the bowl, not the inside that affects anything but we'll have to watch to make sure it doesn't start chipping from those spots. The small dipper pot also had a couple dimples on the outside of it that look like it either didn't bend around the pot smoothly or there was something under the mushroom colored metal that pushed the dimples out. It doesn't affect operation or even aesthetics but we did notice when we unboxed. Overall we love our Crock-Pots and highly recommend them for ease of use and the endless options for meals to make.

Time Saver, Large and Convenient
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really nice looking, solid slow cooker. I've used it to make soups, stews, and chili. It is really easy to use, a bit difficult to clean because of the weight. But, the cleaning is a small price to pay for the convenience. It is also really easy to make your own recipes, with ingredients you have on hand. Just make sure to provide enough water/stock so that it wouldn't dry out. The lid has a rubber gasket all the way around, so it seals well (there is a small hole for steam to escape). But, the little handle at the top of the lid isn't great. It is too small, you'll almost always need a towel or pot holder to lift it as it gets hot. But, again, a small price to pay for such a convenience. The little dipper is nice to have, but I have yet to find a use for it - maybe once people are gathering again it would be nice to use for a warm dip. Overall, the price is right and it is so nice to just start something in the morning and have dinner prepared without much effort. Also, this is really large and for a small family there are always leftovers.

7-Qrt Crock-Pot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 7-quart Crock-Pot has 3 temperature settings. Low, High, and warm. There are also 2-time settings, 6 hours, and 8 hours. The pot switches to warm automatically at the end of the timer. This Crock-Pot comes with a “Little Dipper”. The Little Dipper holds about 16 ounces and is a warmer, not a cooker, but nice to have. The upgrade to this year’s model is the locking lid. The lids seals and locks to the top of the pot. The drawback is up can not turn it over to save space in storage, but it locks on. This is your basic Crock-Pot. It has nice features. The drawbacks are: 1. You can not set a time to start or stop. 2. You can not set an exact temperature. 3. As for all Crockpots its heavy. The positive features are: 1. Locking Lid 2. Dishwasher safe ceramic pot and glass lid. 3. Easy Clean-up. If you are looking for your basic Crock-Pot this, is it. I would recommend the 7-Quart Crock-Pot to family and friends.

But this crockpot came damaged, scratched and didnt set level. Probably shipped that way from the manufacturer. Best buy exchanged it for a gift card.

Perfect Family-Sized Slow-Cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This slow-cooker is a very useful size for family meals and has a perfect set of features. My wife and I have made a couple meals with it in the first week since getting it, and we're very pleased with how it has worked. We have no reason yet to suspect it will not be a durable and heavily used appliance for us for years to come. (In the interest of full disclosure, Crockpot was kind enough to provide this unit to us in exchange for an honest review.) The seven quart size is very useful; it ought to easily handle meals for all but very large families. The latching lead creates a good seal, and should make it easy to transport meals to family gatherings without worrying about spilling (or having to listen to a rattling lid on the drive there!). The interface is uncomplicated, just as a slow-cooker's should be - there are five settings (2 high temp timed settings, 2 low temp timed settings, and a "keep warm" setting) that can be cycled through by repeatedly pressing a Select button. The only button is a simple Off button. The keep-warm setting will be great for keeping it warm during casual parties. The included companion dip warmer is a nice touch, too. (Besides how well it works, the "mushroom" color is also quite nice-looking for an appliance!) Slow cookers are a modern family kitchen staple, and this is a really good choice if you're looking for a new one.

It's ok
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Admittedly, it functions as described. But the timer aspect is not flexible enough. You have to choose between a set criteria of time per heat selection. That just doesn't make sense in my kitchen.

So easy to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Crock-pot 7 quart programmable slow cooker is so easy to use. Simply place the food in the stoneware bowl, set the timer, and push the button. Has preset times - High (4-6 hours) and Low (8-10 hours) and automatically switches to "warming" mode when complete to prevent over cooking. At 7 quarts it is large enough to feed an entire house-full of guests but still easy to move around and store when not in use. The mushroom color looks great in the kitchen too! The stoneware bowl is removable for easy cleaning and the bowl and glass lid are both dishwasher safe. Includes a 16 ounce, "little dipper" which is a great size for dips, sauces, or even side dishes. This is great for busy families - start it before work and dinner is ready when you get home. There are so many easy recipes online as well. It's also a great Holiday gift - everyone needs a Crockpot (or two)!

Easy to Use and Convenient Slow Cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The crockpot is a classy looking two tone white and taupe that Crock-Pot refers to as mushroom. It has latches in each side so it can easily be transported by its handles with no worry of splash or the lid falling off. The preset buttons are handy for when you want to set a cook time and heat setting. Use low for 8 to 10 hours or high for 4 to 6. I realized even while cooking you must have the latches on to seal the lid. Not a big deal at all. I did I notice the outside became pretty hot; however my old one did as well. I made a chuck roast with potatoes and carrots and it did a great job cooking everything without burning on the sides or drying out the meat. Overall I am happy with the appearance and functionality of this crockpot. It will also be great when taking it places without worrying about the lid falling off.

Nice Crockpot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very simple Crockpot which is a plus and minus. If you used a crockpot there is nothing fancy, low and high with set times. So if you wanted to set something for 5 and half hours you can't. The times are set, so if you need to go over/under you will have to manage. Not horrible, just would be nice to set and forget. Otherwise its great. The lid is great and secure and locks down to make transport easy as well keep as much vapor/liquid in during long cooks Overall the crockpot worked perfect. The small warmer is ok, but nothing special and not sure how much I'd use, but the main crockpot with the secure lid is awesome, esp. during tailgate season. Means you can make your chilli store it and transport without worrying about a messy spill.

The best of the best
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I admit, this is my 5th Crock-Pot. Yes, 5th. And I have no regrets. Yes, arguably you can get any cheaper crockpot and it will work wonders and do its job. But this right here, the aesthetics are good, it's new, it locks in place which my others don't have,. and the little dipper is a nice add on that they didn't need to include but did any way. I have used this with everything and it's really truly great. It's so spacious too (not to say others aren't) but you're getting a super good value with this, that I'm not sure why it's not priced higher. I'm glad it's not, but you get good value for sure.

Good slow cooker with a few nice upgrades
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really great slow cooker. The controls are pretty basic and in line with what you might see on any slow cooker. It has 4 settings for cooking and rather than a heat measurement it tells gives you a timer. Two of the times are at the high setting you would find on other machines and two are the low temperature. After the time runs out it automatically kicks over to warm. The cooking function works well and is pretty basic and straightforward. It’s nice that it automatically moves to warm, but normally my recipes aren’t that precise anyway so I tend to check on it before it kicks over anyway. The lid is a really great feature in that it can snap down tight to put in the car or carry around without worrying about it spilling all over the place. I also noticed that with my old slow cooker it would bubble and cause the lid to sputter out a little liquid and make a bit of a mess. Because this lid is met to be sealed it comes with a gasket of sorts on the lid. I noticed this gasket creates a better seal even when the lid isn’t latched so you don’t get that messy bubbling out from under the lid. Also, there is a small hole in the lid to release steam so you don’t have to worry about pressure building up in it even when the lid is clamped down. The warmer that comes with it works well enough, but its actually a bit too hot in my opinion for a food warmer. Dips and thick sauces or gravy will probably burn if you leave it in there. Its also a bit small so it feels more like its for a warm condiment or sauce, not actual food. A runny gravy or Au jus would probably be fine. However, its almost exactly the same as the small warmer Crock-Pot has put out for years so if you’ve been happy with that you’ll be happy with this one. Cleaning is also really easy since the portion your food goes in easily lifts out of the electronic portion so you don’t have to worry about ruining that and can just drop it into your sink to clean. I think the instructions say those portions can be put in the dishwasher, but its so big I normally just quickly do it by hand and not run a whole cycle with this and one or two other things on the bottom rack. The coating on the pot is good enough that everything seems to come off really easily after a light soak. Overall a great slow cooker from a solid reliable brand that has a couple nice upgrades from a more traditional model.

Plenty of Time
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just love that I can set a time with no worries. I can finally make roast beef lol. I cook when I need to but having this slow cooker, I’ve cooked more, and for me, it’s open my awareness of making prep meals and just really being healthy. I’ve eliminated going out to eat. This sense of pride is what I love because I wasn’t the cooking type, but now I can’t wait to cook. You can travel with this too, very secured lid and if your into making dips, you will like the warmer! Get you a slow cooker, it’s very reliable and also it’s easy to clean!

Excellent Crock Pot, Easy to Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This crockpot worked perfectly. It has a very simple interface but it is all that is needed to operate the device with 4 options for cooking times. You can go for a higher heat and less time or lower heat but cook longer. I made a nice pot roast and chose the higher heat and for the longer time of 6 hours. The pot heated up and perked away and then automatically went to warm mode after the 6 hour programmed time. I had filled the entire 7 quarts with a chuck roast, onions, potatoes, carrots, celery and 3 cups of beef broth. I did follow the recipe to coat the roast with flour, pepper and salt. I’m not good at cooking but it was delicious. The meat was tender and tasty. I could not ask for more from a slow cooker. This unit does have a lid that clamps on so that you could move the entire filled crockpot to another location – this is a useful feature. Also the ceramic crock pot bowl removes from the heater base for easy cleaning. A bonus item was a small ‘Little Dipper’ pot for making sauces like cheese or salsa etc. This item was terrible. Its feet were not level so it did not sit properly on the table. It has 3 feet and I had to add a washer under one foot to make it level. This was minor compared to the bad design point such that the inner crock pot was not removeable. So now you have a part with an electrical cord that you have to very carefully remove the cooked on grit without getting the bottom part wet. Very poor and I don’t recommend this item at all. I won’t take a star off for the bonus item as I do highly recommend the main 7 quart crock pot that is well designed and very easy to use and clean.

Another fine Crock-Pot product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This slow cook is very large and the locking top is such a great feature. Having the removable pot makes it easy to wash and this cooks as advertised. The most difficult part of having a portable cooker is keeping the lid secure. In the past, I often had to tie something around it to keep the lid in place. The lid locks on this make it so much better. It also really seals the steam and I think it cooks even better than the models without it. I made a fantastic pork shoulder that fell apart after cooking on the low temperature model. The warming mode also worked great to keep the meat warm while waiting for dinner time, without burning anything. This heats up very quickly. I plugged it in ahead of time so that it would warm up while I was preparing the meat and it was already very hot within a few minutes. The smaller pot was wonderful for keeping some cheese dip warm without burning it. The stoneware bowl is not removable on the Little Dipper warmer, so one needs to be careful not to submerse the entire device. If I could change one thing, I would make this removable with future offerings. Overall, this is a great product despite this. The design makes this easy to store with a flat controller. Earlier designs had a protruding control panel. This one is flat and looks great and stores easily in a smaller place. The color is very nice and looks fancy.

Locking cover is awesome!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy cooking for my family and coworkers, especially smoking pork butts for pulled pork; which I then take in to work or to the homes of my relatives. My biggest issue with previously owned slow cookers has been carrying it from the car to the building or home. It's a miracle I haven't broken a lid yet, although the reason for that is I often make 2 trips, one just for the lid. With this cooker, the lid locks securely, and that's huge. This also is super easy to use, and the instruction manual comes with a few recipes as well. Finally, the mushroom color of the unit is a muted color, not the same mushroom color as appliances from the 70s, but it does remind of that era and makes me smile thinking back to Mom's cooking. I would recommend this slow cooker to family and friends.
