Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the Express 6-Quart Easy Release Multi-Cooker's ease of use, faster cooking times, and great value for its price. Many appreciate its convenient size and the tender meat it produces. While some experienced issues with the sealing mechanism and steam leakage, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The pressure cooking function is also frequently praised.

Great pot..seal was bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about the pot but unfortunately it had a bad seal and I wasn't able to use it. However, I took it back to the Eugene, Oregon store and they did an OUTSTANDING job of exchanging it for another one.

Fresh white rice in 6 minutes!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these “one pot” pressure cooking devices and the CrockPot Express Crock is no exception. It’s well built, easy to use, and functions either a slow cooker, pressure cooker, or steamer so there’s some versatility in how to use it. The lid has a unique shape that makes it virtually impossible to put on wrong and the steam purge valve is a simple dial that purges the built up pressure. It feels like there was an emphasis on making it flexible and easy to use, which I greatly appreciate, because most of the people in the house can use it and it has essentially replaced our rice cooker. Speaking of which, it makes perfect fluffy, white rice in as little as 6 minutes and brown rice in as little as 23 in pressure cook mode. Huge time saver, and it automatically switches to warm mode with a timer to let you know how long it’s been sitting. If you’re making a stew and need to brown the ingredients first, you can do that here with the lid off, then mix in everything else in the same pot afterwards and set it on pressure cook to do it’s thing. Like any other pressure cooker, the steam builds up pressure inside which forces it back into the pot and helps cook everything faster with more flavor and tenderness. Stews and chili that usually taste better the 2nd day can be “matured” in this pot within hours. Or if your goal is to slow cook for hours, well this is a CrockPot, so you can do that here too. I like that you can switch between low and high pressure cooking, because I didn’t even know that was a thing and have always used the high mode. Supposedly, the low pressure mode is better for filets of fish, veggies, or more fragile ingredients, but I just do everything on high. To use it as a steamer, there’s a little riser insert to put in the pot that’ll keep the food above the water. Pour in a cup of water, close lid, press steam, set time, press start, and just come back when it’s done. In a way, it’s kind of like a really fancy rice cooker that can do so much more. It’s also about the same size, so it won’t take up too much counter space, while the black and aluminum finish should blend in with most decor. I really can’t find anything to complain about as it comes at a great price point, is well built, and does a fantastic job cooking. If you’re looking for a “one pot” electric pressure cooking device, or a steamer, or a slow cooker, or even a rice cooker, definitely give this CrockPot Express Crock a look. It’s replaced the house rice cooker without taking up more space, but doing so much more.

Just ok multi-cooker
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works ok, the unit itself is kind of bulky so finding storage for it is difficult with a small kitchen. Recipes are fairly easy to follow, pot is kind of small for a large family. I find I have to do at least two batches of whatever to feed family of 6.

Familiar Crock Pot with easy Pressure Cooking!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crock-Pot Express 6-Quart Easy Release Multi-Cooker - Stainless Steel Even though Crock Pots have been around and in popular use for a long time, it seems the “old fashioned” pressure cooker that mom used to use with the little dancing pressure release valve has kind of been forgotten. Pressure cooking has a lot of advantages, mostly less cooking time and more uniform “outside to inside” cooking (depending on the item). This “combination” unit provides all the advantages of the slow cooking, simmering, and “keep warm” features of a Crock Pot with the benefits of safe and easy-to-monitor pressure cooking. All the issues associated with pressure cooking seem to have been addressed: you can keep an eye on the status of your pressurized system, and taking off the lid after pressure cooking is much safer and eliminates the “burst” of steam and hot lids. The digital controls have plenty of the most commonly used pre-sets, and it one of the pre-sets is not to your liking you can quickly program your preferred temperatures and other settings for pressure cooking. Size-wise the 6 quart has plenty of room for a 3 or 4 person family. We have enjoyed fast-baked potatoes (always have to try those first with a pressure cooker), stews, pot roast and vegetables, pasta, and homemade vegetable soup. All the things you would expect from a nice Crock Pot, with the added feature of pressure cooking to speed things up when needed, or use a “slow cook and simmer” >> it’s nice to have the choices combined into one Crock Pot. After use, this Crock Pot is easy to clean and except for the base, can be popped in the dishwasher if you like. The non-stick makes it pretty quick to just rinse and wipe and put up.

Defective Pressure Seal?
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not what I expected from a name brand manufacturer! The pressure seal is not as good as some of the cheaper brands. Some of the pre-set functions (e.g. Rice) don't work that well. I would not recommend.

Not good pressure cooker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not happy, it won’t seal properly, water leaks out from the back, the little cup holds 3tablespoons of water… MAYBE… because it won’t seal properly all the steam escapes from all around the lid, I bought this to use as a pressure cooker. Unfortunately I will use it only as a slow cooker. I rated fair value because I bought it as deal of the day, paid $30 which is what a slow cooker costs. The instructions aren’t clear how to use the timer.
