Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the Express 6-Quart Easy Release Multi-Cooker's ease of use, faster cooking times, and great value for its price. Many appreciate its convenient size and the tender meat it produces. While some experienced issues with the sealing mechanism and steam leakage, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The pressure cooking function is also frequently praised.

Selling damaged product on sale
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Go it on sale and had to replace it thrice. All three were damaged and leaking steam from the sides. Very disappointed and such a sale gimmick, seems like they put an entire damaged batch on sale!

Finally!!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been in love with my Crock-Pot 6 quart slow cooker. I do a killer venison stew in it as well as my famous pinto beans (my kids love them). So I was able to pick up a Crock-Pot 6-Quart Express cooker knowing the quality of the brand. I've only had the Express Crock for a couple of weeks and have cooked a few things but all have turned out great. Setup was easy. Just follow the directions in the user's guide and you can't miss. The user's guide walks you through each type of cooking you can do with recommended settings. First thing we tried was the slow cooker where we threw in a boneless chicken breast, cream of chicken soup and a can of diced tomatoes with green chilis and let it slow cook until the chicken was tender. We shredded the chicken and made tostadas. Perfectly cooked! I then used the cookbook to make some "perfect hard boiled eggs". I used the steam setting on low and followed the directions and they did come out perfect and were amazingly easy to peel the shells. Makes it easy when I just want a quick protein snack or boost. The last thing we tried was a beef round pot roast with potatoes and carrots. I used the pressure cooker on high pressure. Found a great multi-cooker recipe online and made tweaks for our taste. This was the first time I ever used a high pressure cooker and I'm extremely happy with the results. I used the saute/brown setting to sear the roast. Once browned I loaded the pot up with potatoes, carrots, onion, and low sodium beef stock and left it alone for about an hour. Everything was fall apart tender. My wife loved it and it was so simple to do. We aren't much of rice eaters now but I'll give a try soon to see how it turns out. Simple to use, simple to clean and lots of functions. Been wanting an multi-cooker for a long time and happy I waited for a Crock-Pot brand.

Innovative and Works Beautifully
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've got high praise for this product. It is a slow cooker and a pressure cooker. It really is an appliance every kitchen should have. The controls are intuitive and the device is built very well. It uses a non-stick coated metal 'crock' instead of a ceramic crock which is easier to move around for sure. Here's the bottom line it cuts cooking time dramatically and the results are fantastic. A good example was cooking short ribs. I followed the directions in the included recipe book. Ribs, onions, garlic, BBQ sauce and some chicken stock basically. Toss these in the pot, cook for 40 minutes under pressure and the ribs had fallen off the bone and tasted delicious. I had actually planned to recook them under the slow cooker setting for an hour or two extra and ensure they were tender. Tasted one rib part and knew they were already perfect after just 40 minutes. You can cook so many things using this cooker, it is the tops. It comes with a manual and a nice recipe booklet. I highly recommend it and am sure I'll be using it a lot. Yummy.

Wouldn't Seal So Returned
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used an InstantPot for a few years and decided to toss and get a new pressure cooker. This one wouldn't seal after getting it set up correctly. The steam was coming out from around the lid. I returned and went with a different brand.

Excellent Cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very easy to use and well built cooker from a name we've all grown to trust. We have had other fast pressure cookers but two things stood out on this one for my wife. 1) seems more compact and takes up less space 2) she is a big fan of the safe quick and easy pressure release For me the whole pot is well labeled and easy to use. The lock and unlocked icons are front and center and can't be mistaken so when locked you can lift the whole pot with the handle and move with confidence. The controls are also front and center with traditional vs pressure pre-sets labeled in their own columns and then manual controls in the middle of the front panel with bright blue display. My wife's only concern is the removable pot seems to be Teflon coated and she wonders how long that will go without scratches. My thought is that since its removable, we should be able to buy a replacement pot some day. Overall an excellent cooker to save us all time when cooking a healthy meal.

Very pleased and happy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best cookers in the market that is available for a cheaper price than the other competitors. If you don’t own an insta-pot, you will start loving this product right away. The biggest different i noticed instantly is that this starts releasing pressure almost immediately. Cooks perfectly without sputtering sounds and steam hissing. It also has a non-stick pot which is amazing - easy for cleaning. Besides regular food items, the yogurt feature is also really helpful. Yogurt comes out really well. Like other instant cookers, food can be sautéed in the pot itself which makes life very easy. The preset buttons are great when you are not aware of how long to cook something. Only thing that you need to be careful about is the non-stick pot that can lose the coating when rubbed with metal spoons. Good product from Crock-pot, quite impressed and pleased. Would definitely recommend to friends that have not tried instant cookers.

Cooking has never been easier
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cooking just got easier. Being a student, I needed something that would allow me to cook without having to keep a close eye on what I cook. The Crock-Pot Express is just what I needed. It has never been so easy to cook great tasting food with so little time and effort. You can cook just about anything with the Crock-Pot Express and I absolutely love it! The pre-programmed settings make it even easier to cook. Another great thing about the Crock-Pot Express is that it doesn’t take too much space in the kitchen. This is really important, as small applicants like these are very common today’s kitchens. If you are looking for fast meals with great flavor, the Crock-Pot Express will deliver. I love it and use it very often for meal preps, or when I need to make a quick dinner after school. I would definitely recommend the Crock-Pot Express to anyone in the market.

Teflon coated pot, not stainless steel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Inner Cooking Pot is teflon coated. Stainless Steel only refers to exterior. Don't be misled if you want a stainless steel pot. Also Best Buy's return policy is 15 days

Solid and fast cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crockpot is synonymous with a slow cooker. Instapot is synonymous with the new breed of electric pressure cookers. With the Crockpot Express, the old veritable brand of small kitchen breaks into a new market in a big way. The features and convenience of Instapot are matched nearly identically. There are presets for many types of cooking including rice, meat, beans, and yogurt. There’s even a Steam preset for boiled eggs (hard, soft, or medium)! I’ve used the Crockpot Express for several meals since I got it and each time it’s worked fairly well. The chicken I cooked was tender enough to nearly fall off the bone. It was done in under 45 minutes. Cooking beans for chilli takes hours off the soaking process and ensures they’re infused with the flavors you want. This pot is the only thing you really need for chilli as you can brown the meat, stir in the beans, sauce, spices, etc and have perfectly simmered stew in under an hour. Compared to an Instapot at a friend’s house, this had a slightly thinner cord, a non-stick inner pot, and a nicer shade of blue in the display. Otherwise, it was identical. My only complaint, for which I would take off a star, was that the lid lock piston got stuck each time I used the pot after the first time. Steam was bubbling out of it and the lid wouldn’t lock. To solve this, I wiggled a toothpick on its top. It then popped up. I’m hoping that it’s just a unit defect, but it doesn’t inspire confidence. I received this unit as part of Best Buy’s Tech Insider Network. Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews.

crockpot
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After washing and getting ready to use, had to return. Did the test of pressure cooker function as directed and timer did not count down. Took 30 seconds to a minute to count down each second. I tried calling customer service and the recording said there was a recall on this item. I returned it for a refund. Big disappointment.

Not the CrockPot for Me
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right off the bat, at least for me, there was a much higher learning curve than traditional crock pots I’ve used, with simply how to use this 6qt CrockPot Express; even after reviewing the Owner’s Manual. Pressure cookers have always scared me, but I was willing to give that feature on this CrockPot Express a try. While much more straightforward, by following the directions step-by-step, the process was still somewhat daunting, yet definitely better. I really felt as though CrockPot had considered safety in their design. As for how my roast turned out (my crock pot meal of choice), it did cook faster, and what I would consider to be more thoroughly and evenly. The meat was tender, juicy, not dried out at all, and the veggies were flavorful. There’s so much more this CrockPot Express is capable of, but other than slow cooking, I’d probably only ever use it for steaming vegetables or making soups; which I’ve little doubt the cooker would prepare adequately. The non-stick surface of the removable ‘lightweight’ cooking pot (which is so convenient for cleaning) seems as though it will last a good long time, with proper care. There are other sizes of CrockPot cookers besides the 6qt one I tried. Please choose according to your family’s needs. A couple of minor ‘Cons’ here - My digital display seemed to be slightly messed up, as it didn’t show some of the numbers properly. So I really had to pay attention and count up or down as I pressed the button, sort of “guessing” that I was choosing the correct one. This was the second unit I tested out, because the fit of the lid was an issue on the first one. (disclosure: I received this product as part of the Best Buy Tech Insider Program in exchange for an honest review) Tips: Be sure of where you place this cooker, especially doing the ‘Initial Water Test to Practice with Pressure.’ Steam will be released straight up into the air, and some water droplets will spurt out to the sides and onto the counter. Be mindful of the residual hot water dripping off the inside of the lid when you remove it after cooking. Also remember that the outside surface of the cooker will be ‘warm to the touch’. *Be sure to completely read the yellow instruction sheet, as well as, the Owner’s Manual for further safety tips and proper usage of the appliance. There’s also a simple Recipe Book included. Overall, I just wasn’t as impressed as I’d hoped to be with this particular cooker. Although CrockPot is a known brand for these types of food preparation devices, there are other popular options out on the market. Sorry to say, but I’d recommend one of those before this 6qt CrockPot Express.

Must have appliance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first express cooker I have ever used. It was super easy to set up and use. The best part is you can cook a lot of similar meals as you would in a slow cooker but at a much faster rate. It is made out of high quality materials. It comes with a recipe book for ideas on things to cook. Overall it offers different options to cook and can easily add variety to your diet. The only small change I wish it had was a larger steam catcher because it is pretty small and fills up fast. I highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to cook at home and would like to try a new way of cooking.

You cannot lose with this Crock Pot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great little crock pot/pressure cooker! It has really opened up an area of cooking for us that we have neglected. We are now making beans, soups, and stews that we never used to make before getting this item. Out of the box, this cooker looks a little daunting as there are a lot of buttons and settings on it. Fortunately, the manual and cook book do a good job of explaining everything. It really is easy. It comes with a steaming rack and rice spoon. This product is easy to use and cooks meals in a fraction of the time. It has definitely added favorably to our cooking options.
