This is not horrible but it is not great either. Don't use it too often but would not recommend to someone who uses slow cookers a lot.

This was my first crockpot and enjoy it. Not functional for families. Bottom sticks have melted off. Not pleased with this.

This unit runs very hot on low. So you will need to adjust the cooking time appropiatly

It works good, but biols on low and simmers on high, ) it's perfect for roasts and slow cookin

Had I known what a crock-pot meant, I would have never purchased this product. Its not so much the specific product that annoys me, but the idea of slow-cooking itself

good enough for slow cooking and savety of vitamins.

I wanted a crockpot to cook whole chickens. Most stores sell 4.5 pound whole chickens. That's the size of bird they roast and sell for $6.50 each - which are usually dry. At first I bought the 3qt size crockpot. Too small for a 4lb+ bird. I will use it for chili and other kinds of condensed entries. I put the bird in the pot, plus two medium size potatoes, two small onions, four 6" carrots cut in 3rds. It all fit snugly. I plugged the pot in, moved it to the back of the counter, and I am getting ready for some home cooked smells to fill the condo. The next meals I plan to cook are a roast and later corned beef - this is a perfect size for those entries as well. I don't know how to use seasonings yet, so I only dumped in a bay leaf, salt and pepper. Ummm, ummm good. Also, low heat is best. As I understand, the enzymes in food start to evaporate after 180º. So, slow cooking is healthy cooking - not to mention the convenience.

I wasn't sure I was going to like using a slower cooker, so I purchased this basic model. I love it. I just throw all my ingredients into the pot and forget it. I use it when making pasta sauce. I brown my meats, throw them in add everything else, set it on low and walk away. No worrying about anything burning or liquids boiling down. Perfect for split pea or chicken noodle soup. There are lots of Slow Cooker recipes online, so there's always something new to try.

I love this crock pot. Its a great color so it looks good when you leave it on the kitchen counter. It does not take up too much space but you can easily make tons of food in it. I dont cook with crock pots but decided this year as I help family with bringing foods to buy this. It is excellent. Perfect for most everything I can imagine....I've done desserts, main meals etc...easy cleaning..perect low tim, nice looking -enough to keep out. And the price...well if I had know it was this great, I would have paid triple...I think I have used it 20 times now, so am completely thrilled!

I love this crockpot. I actually got it in-store when i was on sale and it was a steal! I'm not a huge fan of the red color, but it is so easy to use. The detachable ceramic bowl is convenient for cleaning. My only complaint would be that there is no light that indicates when it is on or off. I actually have one outlet in my kitchen that does not work for some reason, but when I plugged in this slow cooker, I had no idea if it was working. Other than that, it works like a charm. I cooked buffalo chicken dip in there the other day and kept it at a low setting, but it did burn a little. Next time I'll try and keep it at the 'warm' setting and see if that makes any difference. This thing heats up quick!

I bought this online and chose to pick up at a local store. The price was AMAZING.. only $17!! I used it the very next day to cook a whole fryer chicken that easily fit in the stoneware. It has a nice glass lid, not a plastic one like I thought I would get for this price.

I got it for Chilli and it is perfect. I still saute my onions and garlic & brown my meat in a skillet, but after that the crock pot does the rest. Just add seasoning and fixings you want with it. I'm sure it is good for other stuff too like chichen and dumplings, but haven't tried yet.

I bought this crock pot because as a working mom it comes in handy for dinner. I can set it up before I go to work and when I get home dinner is ready. I love that I can make chili, stew, and soups in it instead of the stove. This is a great buy. I had a $25 reward certificate so I basically got it for free. I love Best Buy!
