Significant upgrade for old Laptop

As the existing operating system became obsolete, I upgraded to the latest version. That significantly slowed down performance, so I had to upgrade the hard disk and RAM to 16GB. I chose the Crucial MX500 for the SSD and memory due to its reputation. I am glad that I did, because with the added hardware and a few minor tweaks the old laptop now flies!

DO NOT forget to purchase SATA to USB cable if you plan to migrate your OS. I was told it was not necessary when I called Geek Squad. Anyway I ended up ordering when online, and everything is working fine now. Spend a few minutes and find out online what you will need oh, and don't just assume that whoever you talk to at Best Buy will know. A little research is a wise investment.

Crucial SSD Drive
