This drive works great as a second drive for my system. It was slightly difficult to set up due to being in read-only mode.

This is the second time I've bought a Crucial drive. After a month of using this one I've decided not to ever buy Crucial again. This ssd is slower than the one I replaced. I thought with these specs it would run faster. My computer now take 30 seconds to boot. Before it only took about 15 seconds. I tried to use the clone disk utility but I ended up having to start from scratch because the only thing I could reuse was the operating system.

Uncertain at this time. New Drive out of box failed when installed by Geek Squad. Now waiting 10 more days before replacement drive is obtained and commissioned.

On paper, this SSD is slower than many other gen 4 units out there. But it is also a good deal less expensive. And that is impactful for certain scenarios such as not meeting the speed requirements for use in the PS5. I did not personally try to run it in my PS5 anyways so I can’t say whether it would still work despite the requirements not being met. For my gaming PC, it works like a charm. This is where the being slower on paper aspect becomes much less obvious. Sure, its technically slower than something like a Samsung 980 Pro, but when it comes to loading a game in 10 seconds instead of 9 seconds but saving a ton of money in the process, I feel like that second or two difference is worth the savings. It’s effectively imperceptible of a difference and the only way you’d ever know for sure would be to speed test it side by side with a faster drive. But in everyday operation for loading apps or games it is more than fast enough to satiate the needs of most users. They even make it easy by including the installation screw which most other drives I have purchased in the past don’t do. The Crucial P3 Plus is the perfect entry point into m.2 gen 4 speed without breaking the bank in the process. Not quite fast enough for PS5, but perfect for PC gaming on a budget.

SSD storage is the current option for storage. There are many options out there for storage but I found this drive to be very fast and useable. Crucial is a well known brand and has been building memory for quite some time. This product continues the positive track record. First, it installs with no problem. It fits all standard SSD drives and is easily found in Windows. It has cooling options built in and will also work with any cooling paste built in to the workstation. I installed may applications including games such as MS Flight Simulator that requires regular access to the hard drive to run at high speeds and frame rate. This drive handled that with no issues. Since this was a large drive I partitioned it into two 1TB drives using Windows Disk Manager and it worked with no problem. Overall, this drive met everything I needed and I see it being a long term option and don't expect any issues from it. If you are looking for a drive that will be fast, easy to install, and reliable, this is a great option.

The ram package was opened before. I realized this when I was about to install it. I had to do it urgently so could not go back and get a replacement. Please sell sealed products to your customers not the used ones.

The Crucial P3 Plus is a great entry level NVMe drive that utilizes the newer PCIe Gen4 standard. Here's a few points that stood out in my 2 weeks use as my primary drive in my gaming laptop: Pros: - PCIe Gen 4 compatibility - Great value - Available upto 4TB - Perfect for regular non-heavy duty usage, and very good option as secondary storage - 5 years warranty (but with limitation) - Only 1 side populated with chips which provides wider compatibility (some laptop M.2 slot have limited space) - Standard installation procedure - Acronis Cloning Software can be used for free to format/clone/setup Cons: - Not the fastest PCIe Gen 4 drive out there. Sequential Read and Write in the lower 4000s MBps - DRAM-less design which may present to be a bottleneck for some - Even though there 5 year warranty, however it's limited by Total Bytes Written of 440TB Overall, even though there're some limitations those will probably be more important for power usage. For regular purpose computing and secondary data storage activities, this presents a great value entry if PCIe Gen 4 compatibility is needed.

This m.2 ssd is a good buy for ps5. Considering the price per performance. Its not the fastest nvme 4x4 but it works well for me. After 2 months of use I've had no issues with this drive. I highly recommend this. And now the 4 tb version is just over 200.00 if i didnt have this already I'd buy that Considering the 4 tb storage for xbox is around 400.00.

Got this to install in my laptop. Was easy to install. comes with a screw as well in case you don't have one. My laptop already has a 500gig, so I just installed this one as a secondary hard drive. There are not really any directions that came in the package. You have to go to their website or just look up online if you need any help. If you don't see this, you have to right click your windows icon in lower left, select disk manager and then you will see it show up there. Have to then format and assign it a drive letter. If you need some assistance, you can also go to Crucial's website, and they give step by step instructions along with some software to download. One that allows you to then clone a hard drive so you can set this up as your main drive if you want. As well as to keep it up to date to keep it running fast. I suggest if you're trying to decide what size to get, try to get the biggest size you can. So many times, I thought I would be fine with a 1TB, or 500 GB and after installing a couple games, especially now a days, I would run out of space quickly and wished I had gone with a larger hard drive space. Overall, so far, I am glad to have this. I recommend this.
